Amazing freshly cooked food in calm welcoming cafe - Edit
We loved this cafe so much! It's a lovely calm, peaceful oasis away from the hustle and bustle of Luxor. We went here three times in our trip because the food was so good! Everything freshly cooked and good quality, with a fantastic range to try. We loved the dahl and the moussaka (aubergine and tomato) but everything is good!

This place was amazing. The food is some of the best we ate in Egypt, and so friendly and welcoming. A true gem.

Best place in Luxor - Edit
We ate here every day that we stayed in Luxor. I loved the dhal and the besari and the na di na. The vegetable tagine and beetroot one were okay but I'd highly recommend the others. The chips here are delicious and so is the tahini and hummus. There can be quite a long wait for food so keep that in mind when going here.

Fresh ingredients, amazing food - Edit
This is the gem of Luxor for vegan food. Amazing vibe as the restaurant is attached to an art gallery. The owner was very friendly. The food was made fresh and was top quality. Cute kitty roaming around. Very reasonably price. The lentil soup and bulgur were exceptional.

Saving grace - Edit
After a rough start food wise to our stay in Luxor (due to late arrival and many places being closed already) coming to wannas was a god send and became our staple for 2 of our 3 day trip there. The owner told us everything in the menu can be made vegan if we request it. The food was delicious, well priced and very generous portions. I believe our total both times came to around 800 Egyptian pounds (about 12 quid?) for everything! all the mains automatically come with the additional sides of bread, salad and your choice of rice or potato. My Omni partner loved the food and I even sent my brother (who is a big meat eater and hard to impress with veggie/vegan food)a week later who crowned it the best food in luxor! It's a little tucked out the way of the main streets but a must to seek out for a hearty meal, friendly service and cosy vibes! They also have the most adorable white kitty with brilliant blue eyes which for me is always an added bonus.

Lots of vegan options - Edit
We (me plus 3 veggies) ate here twice in a three night stay in Luxor. It's a bit hard to find (situated on a rather scruffy patch of ground) but well worth seeking out.
Read moreLaid back, hippy vibes. Interesting art work in the gallery.
Most of the menu was vegan (a few veggie ones had either eggs or cheese in them).
Not sure I agree with the main description that they have tourist prices - we paid around £5 each for a main meal plus a drink.
The owner even knocked up a desert for us when my daughter said she didn't like dates, he wanted to change her mind - not sure he did, but it was delicious 😋
Pros: Great choice for vegans, The only veggie restaurant in town, Friendly staff
Cons: A bit hard to find

Read moreActually, to be sincerely honest in my humble opinion, without being sentimental and of course without offending anyone who thinks differently from my point of view, and without hiding any thoughts in my mind, and without lies to the actual truth, with my clear open mind and clean heart, expressing whatever is embedded inside me for a long time which I didn't say because I was nervous. But today, by gathering all the courage and motivation, I just want to say that I actually feel and think that I have absolutely nothing to say. Thank you!

Very good - Edit
Loved the food I had there, especially the green beans. There are a lot of vegan options. As many people were so excited about the cauliflower, I wanted to stress that it's deep fried and thus a little too greasy for me. Everything else was perfect. It's nice that you can have a look at the gallery while waiting for the food.

Delicious food - Edit
Egyptian vegetarian food, made to order. I especially loved the “Eggplant Wanna’s way”, but every dish we had (bissara, moussaka, fried cauliflower and more) was delicious and filling. I believe all dishes could be adapted if you are vegan (although most are already vegan) Lovely, friendly English speaking staff and a very sweet cat who will snuggle herself down next to you but won’t be begging for food! Slightly awkward to find but only a short walk from where the ferry docks on the West Bank.

Delicious! Best vegan food in Egypt - Edit
This place was great. The menu looks fairly simple fare but it was the most flavorful and delicious food I've had in Egypt so far! In general I have found vegan dishes pretty plain and this restaurant was a pleasant exception. Warm welcome, comfy space, and plenty of options. Tomato soup was really great. Definitely check it out if you're in Luxor!

We absolutely loved this restaurant on the West Bank! Was a great atmosphere and super friendly hosts. The food was melt in your mouth delicious! Next time I think we will order the whole menu. Only downside is that I cannot fit more in my stomach. 1000 stars! 90% of the menu is vegan and most of the rest can be made vegan.

I liked the food a lot, it was a big enough portion for the main dishes with some starters. Most dishes on the menu are vegan and some can be prepared vegan. We enjoyed some eggplant and cauliflower dishes, had nice flavour and spicyness. The ginger tea was also delightful.
