Can always rely on Wagamama

Went here for breakfast before our flight, service was friendly and quick.

The food was really good, would like to see them roll out breakfasts across the country

Quick pre-flight dinner

I love Wagamama food and always have my preflight meals here. The menu changes from time to time, which keeps things interesting. There is always a queue, but it never takes very long to be seated & served. Very efficient airport service😄

Excellent option at Heathrow

I had a great experience at Wagamama. I did not wait long for a table or my food. The staff was very kind and helpful. There were multiple clearly marked vegan options to choose from on the menu. The serving size for the sweet potato curry was very generous and it was very flavorful. The mushroom bao buns were excellent.

Easy and great food when you're hungry

Many vegan options on their list, I asked if they could change tofu to veggies in dish and they changed 😍. Friendly customer service.

It was pretty growded, I recommending to have headphones if you would like to sit peace and quite.

Good vegan breakfast options

A good choice of options here for vegans. We were here (extremely) early in the morning so were limited to the breakfast menu, which had lots of tasty options, and free green tea!

Pros: Good choice, Reasonable value, Free green tea!

Great Airport Vegan Options

There’s a wide range of very tasty vegan options at LHR T5 Wagas. We had Vegan chicken care lemon noodles, Cauliflower Bang Bang and Teriyaki Mushrooms on Avocado Toast. Yum !

Pros: Wide range vegan options

Cons: No back to seat

Nice airport option

I like the choices however they can cater to vegans by offering a nice stir fry with lots of vegetables. My blueberry ginger apple juice was outstanding.

Pros: Plenty of choices , Great customer service , Relaxed atmosphere

Cons: Not enough veggies in my entree , Condiments are extra

Solid Airport Restaurant

The queue for the restaurant was long but moved extremely quick. Many vegan options all clearly marked on the menu. I ordered the vegan ribs and vegan ramen. Everything was good. Definitely a solid option at LHR.

Good, tasty selection of vegan food at Heathrow

Long communal tables is efficient use of space, but not good if you're not okay with sitting directly adjacent to strangers. We were seated at the end of a table, facing each other, so it wasn't too bad as we stowed our carryons adjacent to the table. The menu has a decent selection of vegan options, at least to this American who is still astounded at how far ahead the rest of the world is with regard to vegan food.

As seen in the photos, we ordered the 'squid' appetizer which was good, but was expecting "rings" instead of "sticks". The texture was spot on, though and they were very tasty. We also shared a hiyashi bowl and the no duck donburi. Both were good, but I would skip the hiyashi bowl next time and go for something a little more composed. I was expecting something more than just a bunch of separate ingredients in a bowl, just to be mixed together. Not that it wasn't good, but I'd rather go for something a little more interesting.

Food was good, selection was good, service was excellent and paying with a QR code was convenient. We waited about 20 minutes to be seated and the line was pretty substantial. Again, the setup is quite efficient and waiters take orders and runners bring food.

There was another wagamama in London that we were considering, but there are too many other non-chain vegan places to try. Look for some of my other reviews.

Pros: Decent selection of vegan options, Efficient operation

Busy, stressful, long waiting time - but many vegan choices

Yeah well, it is an airport! So the atmosphere at Wagamama is stressful and a bit uncomfortable.
Most of the seating is very, very close to other people.
I didn't like that at all (there were also some guests who also wanted to sit a bit more further away from other people).

The waiting time can be longer, we had to wait about 30 minutes and my meal came 15 minutes before my partner's meal. In a normal restaurant this would be a no go. But hey, still an airport ;)

The food itself is ok. Didn't blow me away, but there were really a lot of vegan options on the menu. That is great! Maybe the best vegan selection at Terminal 5.
Everything is clearly marked vegan.

I'd be interested in the breakfast options. Maybe next time.

The bill could be paid with a QR code directly with your mobile phone. I found that very convenient, because you could leave easy.

Good hearty food

Tons of vegan choices. Good service. Paid bill on phone so easy to leave. I had the full vegan breakfast, and while it was oily, it had good flavor and was filling. My husband had a mushroom/tofu wrap. It was smaller (for the price) and tasty. Wish there were places like this in the States.

Great airport food!

Probably the best airport food I’ve had! I got the vegan full English breakfast and the roti breakfast wrap. Everything was clearly marked vegan and the food came out quickly.

Holiday mode

We had a selection of food all of which was okay. Pad Thai, tempeh salad all but the spot, nothing exciting but decent for an airport.
Busy and hade to queue for 10-15 to get in.

Pros: Staff, Plenty of options

Yasai gyoza ramen

Wagamama impressed me by marking, not only the items they intentionally made vegan, but the items that were already vegan including the espresso and the soft drinks. They even had a good selection of vegan desserts which is something you don’t see every day.

I ordered the Yasai gyoza ramen. I liked the broth and most of the other toppings, but my favorite part of bowl was the the five Yasai gyoza. The outer shell was rich and crispy, and filling was flavorful too. If I went back again, I would try the gyoza with some other side or dish.

Absolutely delicious

What a wonderful place to eat at during a layover. I saw the advertisement for vegan 🌱 option and wasn’t disappointed.
The food was delicious and the staff very friendly even it was incredible busy.
We were able to even change an order after we placed it with no problem and you can pay the table from your mobile phone via QR code.
I had the vegan chicken ramen and loved every bite of it.

As good as ever, with a view

As good as all Wagamama’s for vegans - always enjoy them. Had the ‘squid’, sticky ‘ribs’ and ‘chicken’ steamed buns. Reviewed the squid and ribs before - very nice. First time having the chicken buns, which are nice, but for me not as nice as the mushroom steamed buns. As always, great selection and this particular one has a good view of the BA ponds taking off.

Pros: Separate vegan menu, Can’t go wrong with any of the food, Good service

Cons: Moderately expensive

Great Vegan Menu

Layover in Heathrow on route home and Wagamama vegan feast is a calling. Hirata steamed buns were really delicious. The “egg” on the anant gard’n was weird , like a cold slimy bounty, but the rest of the dish was awesome. Sides of Miso, pickles and chillis all washed down with a glass of positive juice .

Pros: Love the dedicated vegan menu

Cons: Service not the greatest

Mixed Thrill

I was waiting to board a long flight to Shanghai so I was happy to see Wagamama, I was all set to have the vegan katsu curry but as it was early I noticed the vegan breakfast, on paper it sounded great and I opted to try something new instead of my usual go to. Where do I begin, hmmm, ok the toast was toast on one side and still bread on the other, the tempeh bacon was too small & just ok, the beetroot sausage again was just ok, the sweet potato wasn't cooked, the amount of spinach was more of a decoration but the tofu scramble was really tasty. I wish I'd gone with the vegan katsu curry now.

Pros: Vegan options, Fast service

Cons: Serves meat

Just what we needed after a long international flight.

They had a special this month called “veganuary 2020” and had a special vegan ‘suika’ tuna made from dehydrated watermelon steak, served with miso sesame kale, and tons of other veges. So good!

Pros: Convenient , Delicious

Bad execution

Had the full vegan breakfast. What a good idea. What a gross reality. Lots of options though. Maybe they will improve.
