Quick pre-flight dinner - Edit
I love Wagamama food and always have my preflight meals here. The menu changes from time to time, which keeps things interesting. There is always a queue, but it never takes very long to be seated & served. Very efficient airport service😄

Excellent option at Heathrow - Edit
I had a great experience at Wagamama. I did not wait long for a table or my food. The staff was very kind and helpful. There were multiple clearly marked vegan options to choose from on the menu. The serving size for the sweet potato curry was very generous and it was very flavorful. The mushroom bao buns were excellent.

Many vegan options on their list, I asked if they could change tofu to veggies in dish and they changed 😍. Friendly customer service.

A good choice of options here for vegans. We were here (extremely) early in the morning so were limited to the breakfast menu, which had lots of tasty options, and free green tea!

Solid Airport Restaurant - Edit
The queue for the restaurant was long but moved extremely quick. Many vegan options all clearly marked on the menu. I ordered the vegan ribs and vegan ramen. Everything was good. Definitely a solid option at LHR.

Good, tasty selection of vegan food at Heathrow - Edit
Long communal tables is efficient use of space, but not good if you're not okay with sitting directly adjacent to strangers. We were seated at the end of a table, facing each other, so it wasn't too bad as we stowed our carryons adjacent to the table. The menu has a decent selection of vegan options, at least to this American who is still astounded at how far ahead the rest of the world is with regard to vegan food.
Read moreAs seen in the photos, we ordered the 'squid' appetizer which was good, but was expecting "rings" instead of "sticks". The texture was spot on, though and they were very tasty. We also shared a hiyashi bowl and the no duck donburi. Both were good, but I would skip the hiyashi bowl next time and go for something a little more composed. I was expecting something more than just a bunch of separate ingredients in a bowl, just to be mixed together. Not that it wasn't good, but I'd rather go for something a little more interesting.
Food was good, selection was good, service was excellent and paying with a QR code was convenient. We waited about 20 minutes to be seated and the line was pretty substantial. Again, the setup is quite efficient and waiters take orders and runners bring food.
There was another wagamama in London that we were considering, but there are too many other non-chain vegan places to try. Look for some of my other reviews.
Pros: Decent selection of vegan options, Efficient operation

Busy, stressful, long waiting time - but many vegan choices - Edit
Yeah well, it is an airport! So the atmosphere at Wagamama is stressful and a bit uncomfortable.
Read moreMost of the seating is very, very close to other people.
I didn't like that at all (there were also some guests who also wanted to sit a bit more further away from other people).
The waiting time can be longer, we had to wait about 30 minutes and my meal came 15 minutes before my partner's meal. In a normal restaurant this would be a no go. But hey, still an airport ;)
The food itself is ok. Didn't blow me away, but there were really a lot of vegan options on the menu. That is great! Maybe the best vegan selection at Terminal 5.
Everything is clearly marked vegan.
I'd be interested in the breakfast options. Maybe next time.
The bill could be paid with a QR code directly with your mobile phone. I found that very convenient, because you could leave easy.

Good hearty food - Edit
Tons of vegan choices. Good service. Paid bill on phone so easy to leave. I had the full vegan breakfast, and while it was oily, it had good flavor and was filling. My husband had a mushroom/tofu wrap. It was smaller (for the price) and tasty. Wish there were places like this in the States.

Probably the best airport food I’ve had! I got the vegan full English breakfast and the roti breakfast wrap. Everything was clearly marked vegan and the food came out quickly.

Yasai gyoza ramen - Edit
Wagamama impressed me by marking, not only the items they intentionally made vegan, but the items that were already vegan including the espresso and the soft drinks. They even had a good selection of vegan desserts which is something you don’t see every day.
Read moreI ordered the Yasai gyoza ramen. I liked the broth and most of the other toppings, but my favorite part of bowl was the the five Yasai gyoza. The outer shell was rich and crispy, and filling was flavorful too. If I went back again, I would try the gyoza with some other side or dish.

As good as ever, with a view - Edit
As good as all Wagamama’s for vegans - always enjoy them. Had the ‘squid’, sticky ‘ribs’ and ‘chicken’ steamed buns. Reviewed the squid and ribs before - very nice. First time having the chicken buns, which are nice, but for me not as nice as the mushroom steamed buns. As always, great selection and this particular one has a good view of the BA ponds taking off.

Great Vegan Menu - Edit
Layover in Heathrow on route home and Wagamama vegan feast is a calling. Hirata steamed buns were really delicious. The “egg” on the anant gard’n was weird , like a cold slimy bounty, but the rest of the dish was awesome. Sides of Miso, pickles and chillis all washed down with a glass of positive juice .

Mixed Thrill - Edit
I was waiting to board a long flight to Shanghai so I was happy to see Wagamama, I was all set to have the vegan katsu curry but as it was early I noticed the vegan breakfast, on paper it sounded great and I opted to try something new instead of my usual go to. Where do I begin, hmmm, ok the toast was toast on one side and still bread on the other, the tempeh bacon was too small & just ok, the beetroot sausage again was just ok, the sweet potato wasn't cooked, the amount of spinach was more of a decoration but the tofu scramble was really tasty. I wish I'd gone with the vegan katsu curry now.

Just what we needed after a long international flight. - Edit
