Could be better

Lots of options but they brought us duck bao buns when we asked for the vegan option. My partner ate one and he said it was truely disgusting. Like canned cat food. We ordered vegan mains so not sure why it came out like that. They took it off the bill after saying what happened.
We also waited a long time to get a table even though there were plenty free. A lot of staff but they always seemed too busy.
The vegatsu was pretty tasty though.

Pros: Lots of veg options

Cons: Slow service, Brought out wrong food

Tempura F-ish + Bang Bang Yaki-imo

Presented nicely, great texture and had a nice taste to it. The Tempura F-ish was quite mild flavoured and not overpowering in the slightest so easy on the pallet. The Yaki-imo was tasty and flavorful while the mushy type peas were a distinguished accompaniment to add another layer of flavour. Overall good combination of flavours that doesn't smack you in the mouth but provides an accumulation of flavours and textures. #Veganuary

Pros: 50% of menu is plant-based

I agree that the f-ish is mild flavoured and no nori seaweed in sight, which personally I find great. Those steamed buns 😋😍

Reliable and Versatile - go for the curries

Wagamama now has an extensive vegan menu so I decided to check it out. It’s a good attempt but slightly loses for me because the food is mediocre.

The Chilli Squid was disappointing. All you can taste is the batter and when you actually do get to a bit of mushroom, it’s super chewy.

The Sticky ribs are nice. They taste ‘meaty’ and definitely hit the spot.

Bang Bang Cauliflower is ok. It’s basically tastes like roasted cauliflower in a slightly sweet chill sauce. I’ve had better buffalo cauliflower wings.

Finally, the Kare Burosu Ramen. Very fresh tasting and very filling. I’ve definitely had better vegan noodles soups (try Pho) and the noodles are super big so I just couldn’t finish it. Too many noodles and not enough veg for my liking

Customer Service I can’t fault. Everyone was super friendly and helpful :)

Updated - 25th August 2021: just been to Wagamama in Watford and had a lovely curry. I’ve now concluded that Wagamama food isn’t too bad but stick to their vegan curries. Lovely taste and hits the spot. Just had the Tofu Raisukaree. Reminds me of a Thai Penang curry so it’s a must try 😋

Yummy

Whole veggie & vegan menu. Lots of choices, good service and free green tea on tap. I got the katsu recently and so did my friend and we both got extra sauce (on request).

Pros: Decent price , V quick service , Lots of options

Cons: Not the healthiest?
