wowed even meat-eating friends - Edit
the hot, sweet, fried, teriyaki vegan chicken was so good that even my meat-eating friends were impressed--and not just at how good it was "for a vegan dish", but overall. the kare burosu ramen was nothing to write home about. fried silken tofu was kinda weird to me but maybe that's someone else's jam. the noodles were thick and almost bouncy, which i liked.

Clearly labelled vegan items - Edit
Wagamama's is great for vegans! There is a separate vegan menu which offers so much choice of ramen, curry, noodles, desserts, etc. The portions are big, so it's good value for money, too.

Stepped up their game… - Edit
I stopped going to Wagamama when I found better katsu curries but going with a friend I tried some of their new vegan starters and they are so good!! Try the vegan ribs and calamari

Nice - Edit
Wagamama is getting better and better with their vegan offering. When we arrived they asked if we wanted vegan menus without being prompted (I look like an aging hippy so maybe that gave them a clue, YMMV).
Read moreThe food's good, service is pretty attentive as long as they aren't too busy.

Nice Japanese Food - Edit
The food was extremely delicious, especially the sides. The staff was nice, but not there when I needed them.

An old favourite haunt, but still slow in being fully vegan-friendly - Edit
Wagamama's new-ish vegan menu was a big deal😄Seriously yummy, and a great amount of choice. I hope one day soon the whole menu will be cruelty-free. In my experience staff often give out only the meaty menu and you have to ask for the vegan, as if it's some kind of secret. This is an assumption on the staff's part and not progressive - not advocating health and ethics or the increasing recognition of the need for them.

Nice Vegan menu - Edit
Took my family here for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. They have a vegan and vegetarian menu with quite a few options on it, however I had to ask for the menu as it wasn't offered to us. Having said that there was plenty of choice there for me and my vegetarian family and the food was particularly nice. I tried the Vegatsu and I would recommend this to others.
Read moreThe desert choice was a little disappointing as there was only one vegan choice although there were plenty of vegetarian choices.
As expected, the restaurant was very busy (it was lunch time), however it was made even noisier by the volume of the music playing. It would have been nicer if the music was at a more calming level.
I would definitely recommend trying this restaurant out to other Vegans/Vegetarians.
Pros: Vegan/Vegetarian seperate menu, Vegatsu is particularly nice
Cons: Very little choice of puddings for Vegans, Background music can be played a bit too loud, Generally a very noisy restuarant
