The vegatsu was ok - Edit
They have various vegan options, but I'm not really fancying the Vegatsu. Good service and a lovely ambiance, though- good options before flight

Quick bite before a flight! - Edit
A bit more expensive than usual wagamamas but got our food fast before a flight! Vegatsu is a safe bet but was not as nice as some other wagas, prioritise speed which is fair enough

Delicious - Edit
Pricey, but good. Their vegan chicken is extremely well marinated.

Amazing vegan sticky ribs - Edit
Decided to eat lighter today after a big breakfast. Went with the sticky vegan ribs. Great texture and flavor, wonderfully spiced, and a good portion size for an appetizer. Lots of vegan options for both appetizers and entrees, all of which are clearly marked.

Good vegan options! - Edit
This chain in the Gatwick airport had very nice vegan options. I had the vegatsu curry and the sticky vegan ‘ribs’ and thought both were very good. The ribs were especially good! I would definitely get them again. Definitely one of the best airport restaurants I’ve been to.

Lots of vegan options! - Edit
Wagamama probably has the most vegan options in the airport. This particular restaurant is nearly always very busy when I’ve visited and often out of a few dishes. Staff are nice and food is as good as any other from the chain.

Skip getting breakfast here - Edit
Very disappointing breakfast/brunch here.
Read moreThe tofu “scrambled egg” was cold as was the “bacon” (the bacon wasn’t very tasty anyway). The toast was served with dairy butter and there was no alternative spread available.
Two stars instead of one just because there are lots of options and Wagamama’s non-breakfast is normally good.
Pros: Lots of vegan options
Cons: Dairy butter served with vegan breakfast, Slow service, Cold food

A relief - Edit
Airports are stressful in general so it was honestly just a relief to sit down and have what you know is going to be a good meal because Wagamamas always serves nice, reliable meals. The queue was incredibly long which was annoying but sort of to be expected at lunch time in a terminal with not much more to offer. We did try the Pret but there wasn't anything vegan as they had run out of the one vegan option they were serving so we had to wait in the queue for Wagamamas but once we got in it was fantastic.

My Go-to airport restaurant - Edit
Airports....what can I say....generally very noisy, full of people, particularly the restaurants and bars. Wagamama is refreshing in that even when it is busy, it still doesn't feel that way. The staff are friendly and professional, and the food is cooked to order, with the staff letting you know of the waiting time in case you have an imminent flight. The new vegan menu has a great choice. I had the steamed vegan buns, and they were delicious. Wagamamas is always a great start to the holiday!

Full vegan breakfast - Edit
Great option for breakfast at Gatwick, much less hectic than other food outlets and helpful service (even topping up our water bottles for us to take on to the plane). The full vegan breakfast was tasty - my only niggle was that the spring onion in the tofu scramble was slightly under cooked, otherwise really impressed. It definitely set me up for the day.

Vegan options - tasty ramen - Edit
It’s great there is a place at the airport with so many vegan options. I had the vegan ramen and it was really good. The place is very busy and the staff makes many mistakes but they are nice. I was alone and I was seated at a long table almost in front of another guy. We both felt a bit strange but ... After all it’s an airport ;)

My favourite airport option (even for Breakfast) - Edit
Lots of clearly marked and decent vegan options. I just had the Full Vegan Breakfast which was pretty good. What I really like is that they’re constantly innovating and trying new things. It’s as if they’re actually excited about plant based options!

It’s nice to have vegan options - Edit
I didn’t expect Gatwick to cater to vegans, but nearly all the restaurants had at least one option for vegans. This restaurant had the Full Vegan Breakfast spread, which I liked.

Disappointing vegan breakfast - Edit
I had the “full vegan” which sounded promising but unfortunately tasted and looked as if somebody had formed it out of play-dough, along with being generally dry and tasteless. Although I appreciate the addition of some vegan options to the menu, this one in particular is an example of a dish that gives vegan food a bad name.

Perfect - Edit
Top tip if running short of time, eating at the bar saves time.
Read moreWe opted for the new vegan katsu curry, it was excellent and my old favourite a coconut spicy based noodle dish called Itame with fried tofu pieces.
We only had 30 mins and the food arrived quickly and the staff were really friendly.

Tasty vegan Asian food - Edit
So nice with a vegan-friendly restaurant in the airport! We had the yasai yaki soba from the vegan menu. It was very tasty, but the ginger was a bit too much for me, but fortunately they were easy to locate and put to the side, because they were red and in not mixed with the other things (you can see them on the picture). Service was good, and there is a wide range of dishes to choose from, both vegan and vegetarian.
