Another visit to mama - Edit
I prefer to eat in fully vegan places, but decided to try Wagamama again after my first visit a couple weeks back. They have made an effort to have a wide selection of vegan options on their menu and I decided to try some more.
Read moreWe had three small plates: mixed mushroom buns, roti raisakatsu and bang bang cauliflower. All were excellent, the roti and dip being particularly delicious. Followed that up with tofu hotpot and yasai pad thai tofu.
Service was attentive, cheerful and efficient. I’d go back again.
Pros: Good range of vegan options , Tasty!

Very nice atmosphere and very interesting food! - Edit
Lot's of vegan options clearly labeled on the menu, very polite and attentive staff, my partner has a nut allergy and they went out of their way to prepare all of our food separately to avoid contamination which we really appreciated. Overall very nice experience although the food was a bit spicier than we expected which gave me an unexpected challenge but nothing negative to say if you like spicy food😄

Too simple food for ridiculous prices - Edit
Honestly, I was so disappointed. The menu made everything sound so delicious. But the vegan dish I ordered was just like any of the cheapest supermarket soya-schnitzels, with some rice that had not been salted when cooked, together with an awful curry sauce that tasted like some one-minute-quick-fix-sauces you would get at a supermarket. It was really bad and didn’t taste anything. I had to pour soya sauce on it and asked for extra lemon just to make it taste anything at all. The worst part - the dish was super expensive. Also, a very loud and busy restaurant. So not spend your money here!

Great options and good service - Edit
They no longer have a seperate vegan menu here, but vegan options were clearly displayed and food arrived quickly. I opted for the mushroom fried "squid" side with dippy sauce which was great, a vegan ramen udon noodles and veg and lastly the banana kasy dessert which was amazing! I washed this down with cherry lemonade and a herbal fresh tea of lemon grass and ginger. Really enjoyed it!

Great service good food - Edit
Half of their menu is vegan which is awesome! They had many options to choose from in every part of the menu including the drinks! I got the No Duck Donburi which was good but it had too much cilantro and green onions in my opinion. It over powered the whole dish. I also got the high 5 juice and the yasai vegetable gyoza which were delicious! When you order the high 5 your waiter high 5’s you! Made me smile for sure. If I had more time in Glasgow I would definitely go back and try the vegatsu curry.

Not good - Edit
Vegan sticky ribs were like mush, not what I expected. The ramen was heavily over spiced with chilli to the point it was inedible which was lucky as I found some metal wire in it. I’m put off Wagas for life.

Online order was horrible - Edit
We had food delivered pretty late and it was awful. We had the Yasai Pad Thai twice and it was horribly spicy and had no sauce at all. It tasted like nothing - except spice. The gyoza came with a weird sauce that only smelled like vinegar. The portion was very small. But the packaging was quite nice.

Best Wagamama - Edit
This is the best wagamama I have ever been to. The chefs are amazing. I don't know their secret but omg that kare burosu ramen is to die for. Udon bliss. Mushroom buns and gyoza. I used most of my student loan here when at uni. Taking my family to Glasgow just to eat here again. The cauliflower bang bang is super tasty too.

Has vegan options. I can recommend vegan squid - its super tasty if i knew its that good I would’ve bought a pile instead of the vegan chicken ramen which was spoiled by not right kind of noodles. Place has no heating , freezing

best UK chain for vegan options in my opinion! - Edit
I love that there’s so much to try at Wagamamas, instead of only having one option on the menu. There’s really something for everyone! I tried the vegan suika tuna that was offered for veganuary 2020 and really enjoyed it, my only criticism is that it’s not a permanent offering as I’d love to have it again! Was a great lighter option on the menu! Also had the positive juice and mixed mushroom and panko aubergine hirata steamed buns on this visit which were lovely!

Expanded menu well recieved! - Edit
The new menu is greatly appreciated and as always its worth noting that the main dishes are purposely served vaguelly bland so that the customer can season the food to their own specification. Some might find this a nuisance but I'm enjoying this element of the wagamama experience!

Fan now I'm vegan - Edit
Was not really a fan before I was vegan. Thought it was over hyped and there were better noodle restaurants but...since turning vegan Wagamama is prob one of the places i visit most. It's my go to place most of the time when I'm out and looking for an unplanned quick bite to eat type of restaurant. Plenty of tasty vegan options.

New vegan tuna - Edit
Came here to try the new vegan watermelon tuna and it was very tasty. The 'tuna' itself was sweeter than I had hoped but not surprising considering its made from watermelon. The rest of the dish was perfect with brocoli and kale, radish, rice and a edamame and avixado guac.

Full vegan menu including drinks and deserts - Edit
Good experience here, menu was varied and it was good to have the vegan beers and wines on the menu. I had the steamed buns which were average and the ramen which was very good. The menu is fairly mushroom heavy, I don’t normally like the but the grilled field mushrooms I the ramen were very good.

Never disappointed. - Edit
Visited multiple times before and always love the meals. They've recently added even more items to their already extensive vegan menu - spoilt for choice! The 'avant gard'n' main had an incredible spicy and creamy "vegan egg" and some of the best seitan I've ever had - a gorgeous sticky bbq style glaze. Mango and matcha layer cake for dessert was STUNNING. Light, fluffy, fresh... would definitely have again!
