Nice & quick - Edit
Always a good place for tasty food. Several new vegan options have been added to the menu and I definitely recommend trying the firecracker hot-sweet vegan “chicken” as a starter/side dish.

Always a treat ! - Edit
Had the vegetable gyoza ramen made vegan and the boyfriend had the Teriyaki vegan 'chicken' ramen. were both so filling and delicious. the vegetable gyozas are such a great topping to the ramen and are so flavoursome. the vegan chicken is absolutely insane and my newly veggie boyfriend says he can’t tell the difference from the real thing. a great chain option.

One of my go to restaurants - Edit
Many vegan options, great place to eat with friends as both vegans and meat eaters can be catered for. Vegatsu is a firm favourite.

Fast & Delicious - Edit
Great to see Wagamama consistently adding more Vegan options to their menu. As you would expect everything is of good quality and flavoursome. I had the short rib ramen, the spicy cauliflower and the stir fried greens. All good and served quickly.

More vegan options than in Belgium, for example - Edit
I've often eaten at the Belgian Wagamama. When visiting the Canterbury area, I was looking for something to eat and considered Wagamama, since I knew what to expect there. I was pleased, when checking their menu, to see how many vegan options they offered, including something with a vegan egg.

Easily the most reliable chain - Edit
I don't tend to eat at chain restaurants often but for Wagamama I make an exception. Their vegan options are tasty, innovative and well-priced. For today's trip to Canterbury I tried the vegan ribs and vegan chicken ramen for the first time. They were both delicious and full of flavour, although texture-wise I prefer the seitan vegatsu. The ramen was so tasty and spicy, I really liked the sambal paste, and I added the vegan egg (£1.50 extra) which is not usually included with the chicken-style ramen because I wanted to try it - I was pleasantly surprised. The white is quite convincing, if they wanted to make the yolk more eggy with Kala namek I'm sure they could but I enjoyed it anyway. The humble bang bang cauliflower is still the Kong of the menu.
Read moreBeing Canterbury I will just say it's quite busy early in the evening (post shopping, lots of families) so there was a long queue at about 6:15 when we turned up and service was slower than usual. By half 7 it had emptied out a lot. So just bear that in mind if you're in a rush.

Pretty good restaurant - Edit
Unlike the Brighton wagamamas this restaurant is pretty good, it has pretty attentive staff that will even sit down and help you look through the allergen menu if you need to. The vegan menu is pretty decent, with lots to choose from like ramen, soups and veggie katsu curry. There are a few vegan beers you can choose from and fresh juices, as well as a few vegan puddings.
