Eten ok, onvriendelijk personeel

Het eten is er prima al lijkt het wel met een stuk minder liefde gemaakt dan bij andere vestigingen (er wordt nogal eens wat vergeten). Personeel is zonder uitzondering elke keer ongeïnteresseerd, vergeetachtig of gewoon laks.

Pros: Genoeg opties

Cons: Personeel

Decent vegan options at this chain

This was our second time at a Wagamama and the menu seems to be the same chain-wide. The first visit was at London Heathrow and we've seen many locations in our travels around the UK.

This location was close to where we were touring so we stopped in for a bite. First impression: this location is HUGE! I don't remember exactly what time it was, but we stopped for lunch and the place was almost completely empty. It may have been a weekday off-hours so that might have been the reason.

The hostess informed us that their table-ordering system with QR codes was not working so she would be by to take our order. Not a big deal to us as we're not fans of the waiter/waitress-less model and welcome an actual human who can answers questions should we have any.

The menu is well-marked and the vegan options are readily distinguishable. Dishes include all manner of Asian food and I decided to go for a ramen this time. The weather was a little cooler than we were used to so I wanted some warm soup/broth. The food was good and the broth was flavorful. I like the different variety of dishes offered on the menu and the fact that almost every section has a vegan option.

I'm not a big fan of chain restaurants, but this is one that shows it cares about the vegan/vegetarian community by offering several options. The fact that Asian food easily lends itself to our dietary restrictions makes it easier, but I do acknowledge the effort on their part.

Pros: Several vegan/vegetarion options available, Easily distinguished vegan/vegetarion options, Friendly staff and good food

Decent vegan food

They have quite a few vegan options, which is very nice. It‘s a good place to visit if you are traveling with non-vegan friends. I had the pad thai. The sauce was excellent, the tofu was very bland however. It‘s a good spot to eat, but there’s definitely better vegan food in Amsterdam

Pros: Some vegan options, Fast service

Cons: Tofu was very bland

Classic wagamama, always good

Classic Wagamama, always good and has at least a vegan option for each type of dish, a safe place to eat when in search for a nice vegan meal. Nice informal atmosphere and kind staff. Plus, I like an open kitchen

Pros: many vegan options, big portions

Great food!

There were plenty of vegan options, and the food was fairly priced for the portion sizes. The food also tasted great. Only complaint is that we got offered water as if it was free when it wasn’t. Other than that, great experience.

Pros: Good amount of vegan options, Good portion sizes for the prices, Great food

vegan option

They serve one (or a few) vegan options. The food is tasty, there is a lot of indoor and outdoor seating, you can ask for the allergy menu card to find out about their vegan options.

Pros: Some tasty vegan options, allergy card on request , lot of indoor and outdoor seating

Cons: only a few vegan options, but very tasty!

Warming Soups!

Perfect place to get escape the cold to get a hot steaming bowl of Kare Burosu! We knew exactly what we were getting before we got there so ordering was pretty simple and the menu is clearly stated with (vg) items. We got the yasai gyoza as a starter and they were so good, I would come back again and order enough as my main! Service was a tad slow but the portion of the Kare Burosu more than made up for it! Would definitely recommend!

Pros: Nice chill vibe, Big portions of soups, Tasty!

Cons: A little pricier

Was ok

The food was good but the service was slow, we were the first people in for lunch and my order came out 35 mins after I had ordered. My partners main was out and finished by the time I got any of my sides or mains and people who were just ordering were getting their food while I was sat staring at my husbands lunch with food envy 😂 it was hard to get the attention of the wait staff.

Pros: Good food consistent to the taste anywhere else

Cons: Slow service , No vegatsu yet!

Vegan menu

We had heard that Wagamama became more vegan friendly in the last year but we were pleasantly surprised to get a separate veg menu card with only vegetarian and vegan options. There were plenty of vegan options to choose from and the ones we chose tasted very good.

To be even more vegan friendly the staff could have asked us if we were vegan and not give us the non vegan menu. Also the paper placemat with a picture of some kind of chicken curry dish was a minor annoyance. If they really want to welcome vegan they should know that vegans don't want to look at a picture of a dead animal on their table.

Service here could be improved. We had 3 or 4 different waiters serving us and there was about 15 minutes difference between the arrival of my plate and my wife's plate.

Pros: many vegan options

Cons: placemat with meat picture, meals not served at the same time

nice and tasty

The food was great but they missed some of the orders and the waiting time was long. Some of us finished our mains before we got our side dishes. But would recommended it and hopefully it works better with orders when less crowded.

Tasy and fast

This is my goto place for a quick delicious dinner. With the standard menu they have a list of all dishes together with allergy information. You can get it up on request. My usually choice are gyoza (I think yasai), itame yasai and coconut ice cream.
You will leave full and happy! :)

Pros: Delicious, Price acceptable

Cons: Would be nice to see more options

friendly international staff and tasty food

If you enjoy listening to some funky tunes while eating Asian food, this is the place for you. Part of a chain that also has a department in London, therefore it has an urban feel.

Don't forget to order some sides with the noodles otherwise the food can be a bit bland. They have an allergy menu in which is clearly stated wich dishes are vegan. But you can also ask of they take out the egg of a vegetarian dish.

Emphasise you are vegan, staff know what this means. They are fast too, if you want to have a long dinner order your starters first.

Main dish around €15 sides €4-5 (2018)

Big plus for me is the vegan dessert with coconut ice!

Pros: allergy menu clearly shows vegan options , vegan dessert, tasty food

Cons: an error was made in our food and drinks order, we received all our food at the same time

meh

I went in thinking they might have the new vegan menu. They don't. I was given a big directory of food allergy ingredients. None of the mains are vegan. You have to ask them to leave stuff out. I walked out without ordering. C- must try harder.

vegan ramen is not yum :/

I hate writing sad reviews, but I also hate eating food just because it's already been made and above all, I hate wasting food. Ha. I swear. I love a lot of stuff too. Anyway, I would really give the vegan ramen 1-2 stars but I would feel too bad about actually giving less than 3 stars without there being some detrimental flaw in execution. It was just meh. Boring. A bunch of mushrooms floating past some spinach and weird cold fried tofu things. The service was SUPER friendly and it seems that some of the other vegan options are alright based on other reviews, but I don't think I'll go back to find out. They seem pretty fast service and maybe a chain? I'm sure the meat eater "food" is fine but just for our little community I wanted to suggest that vegans skip this place :)

Love the food

I've eaten at Wagamama already +/- 5 times.

Ask for the allergy menu, the first page says 'vegan'.

I usually order the Yasai Yaki noodles with the udon noodles (so good!)
And I loooove the coconut ice cream they have.

It’s quite noisy and the service is quick, so maybe not the perfect location for a long romantic diner ;)

Best Itame Yasai (udon noodles) you can find!!!

I often am deterred from eating in meat serving restaurants and chains. But! Wagamama is a rare exception. The few dishes they serve that are suitable for Vegans are fantastic! And in this branch I had the best Itame Yasai I ever had in Wagamama (I've been in several branches they have in London, Malta and now Amsterdam).
And the service is pretty good too!

Pros: Delicious vegan options. I recommend the Itame Yas

Cons: Not allot of options.
