Excellent service

The service here was excellent. Knowledgeable staff, green tea to our table as soon as we were seated, waitress ensured she had listed my order as vegan, and everyone was friendly and helpful.

Pros: Separate vegan menu , Tasty food, Good portions

Cons: No vegan protein option in dishes

Waiter offered lots of helpful advice as I was ordering and the Yaki Soba was very good!

Good japanese

I saw they previous review and asked the waiter if they had any vegan opt. before sitting they showed a separate vegan menu. I guess update it not lo g after the other review (as it’s only few months apart).

We had agedashi tofu and vegetable tempura and inari maki as starters, yaki ufon and chana for mains. Food was tasty enough, the veg sushi was average, nothing special. We went with non vegans so it was a good option for everyone.

Pros: Good value, Quick

Cons: Some opt. Are a bit simple

Poor vegetarian/vegan options

To be honest I'm not really sure why this listing is on HappyCow. I stopped in with several non-veg friends because we fancied Japanese food. There was a small vegetarian section on the menu (maybe 5-6 items). When I enquired what was vegan, our waiter indicated that only ONE item on the menu was vegan (I believe it was the vegetable yakisoba). We ended up leaving and going elsewhere so I can't comment on the quality of the food, but I recommend that vegetarians and vegans look elsewhere in Cork!

Cons: Limited vegetarian/vegan options
