Est. 2014, this little vegan cheese shop also offers baguette sandwiches and flatbread "pizza." Each day a variety of nut-made cheeses are displayed in the deli case. Try the cheese sampler with baguette. Has seating for a few to dine-in. Open Wed-Sun 11:30am-7:30pm. Open Monday and Tuesday for wholesale by reservation.

Bland. Overpriced. Rude (nonVegan) Owner - Edit

We weren't allowed to try all the types of cheeses, which is too bad because I was ready to buy at least one ounce of each. Only item on the menu was a sandwiches that was very simple (cheese, rocket, tomato) on dry bread. My (non vegan) friend said it was overpriced and bland. I am (vegan 8 years) very disappointed and will not recommend nor return.

Pros: Many Vegan Cheeses

Cons: Expensive. Only 1 item on the menu (bland sandwich

best little hole in the wall - Edit

Newly vegan after watching "what the health"
Cheese is the obstacle , however after visiting this spot I am confident I can do this

No menu , but was pleasantly surprised at the low key vibe.
My new cheese alternative friend made me a killer sandwich w mozzarella and fresh heirloom tomatoes
I felt like I stopped by an old friends house to chat and have a bite to eat.
Most definitely will spread the word and hope to ship some of this amazing cheese back to friends back in jersey
Shop small people :-)

Pros: amazing food , friendly , knowledgeable owner

Cons: none

pricey, but worth it! - Edit

The owner of this place is a total sweetheart. He let me sample all of the cheeses he had available before I chose a caprese sandwich for lunch. It's not really a restaurant, but there are a few "menu" items available. The only downside would be the price, but the quality is incredible so I'd say it's worth it!

Good food, good price - Edit

I just bought a lot of almond based cheeses!! They are delicious! Most if his samples are cahsew, macadamia, and almond blends. I cannot have cashews so he said he could do a special order!! The owner, Youssef, will do anything to accommodate your allergies!

Pros: cahsew

Cons: macadamia

Delicious! - Edit

Oh My God! I just had the best vegan cheese of my life from here! I can't believe some of the different cheeses I tried were not actual dairy! This Mozzarella sandwich was amazing. I also walked away with a couple ounces of Cheddar and some crackers to snack on. And, the artist who makes the cheese, Youssef, was a wonderfully kind and considerate man. I could talk to him for hours I'm sure. I'll definitely be back!

Best place to go for vegan cheese! - Edit

I love this place, one of the best that could be in LA!
The only cheese that should exist, a cruelty free savoury and tasty cheese.

Youssef loves his work and you can see it in his eyes when he talks about it.

I would love him to teach me his art so i could go and veganise France with vegan cheeses!!!

Pros: cheeses , personnal investment of the owner, cheeses!

Cons: a bit pricey maybe (but hardwork has a cost!)

so delicious! - Edit

The ambiance of this place needs some work. There are posters and magazine clippings and articles plastered all over the place that look really tacky. I really think all of that should be removed, add some more comfortable seating, just a few cafe tables with a small vase of flowers would make this place so much better. As well as someone to help him out. For the price you pay for a sandwich or cheese sampler, he should really step it up. But the cheese is really great.

A true vegan artist at work - Edit

Our favorite here is the "Caprese" Salad, you really don't miss the dairy version at all. If you want to buy some cheese to take home with you, they always offer you a sample and you decide how much you want to buy. It's very expensive but all types of cheese are superb.

Pros: Many types of cheese to choose from, Fresh and fast, Taste a sample before buying

Cons: Very expensive

Raw Vegan Artisan Cheese Shop - Edit

I love that this place exists! The cheese is on another level. Purely fermented and intelligently crafted. My Lover dreams about the grilled cheese sandwich. I personally would love if they offered a raw cracker or raw bread to accompany the raw cheese. Pick some up to take home or sit at one of four waiting/cafe seats.

Amazing Artisan Vegan Cheese! - Edit

You will find that the cheese in this shop is truly artisan and made by a professional. There are so many varieties and they all taste so different. Great gluten-free, vegan bread is also available. We made some great caprese sandwiches with the feta and had a beautiful picnic. So, help end the cruelty of the dairy industry and try some amazing nut-based cheese. Your non-vegan friends are also sure to enjoy these cheeses.

Pros: Fresh vegan cheese, Great pizza and sandwiches, Wonderful owner

Cons: a little expensive

Amazing cheeses by every standard - Edit

A big part of my decision to visit LA was to try this cheese and I was not disappointed. Every cheese was amazing, taste tests were offered and the quality of the other ingredients used were very high quality. The owner is lovely and friendly. Would love if this were available in Australia.
If you're not a fan of vegan cheese, go here and you will be.

You Will Love This Vegan Cheese! - Edit

Los Angeles finally has all-vegan cheese shop. I had been waiting for this place to open for months, and finally got a chance to try.

The owner of this small shop, Youssef, greeted me with a smile when I walked in to his small shop/restaurant, and asked if I wanted to try any of his many vegan cheese. He showed me that he purchase organic macadamia and cashew nuts for his vegan cheeses. This is definitely a major plus for me.

I ended up ordering an assorted platter of all of his cheeses with a French baguette. Although he was out of his hard cheeses, his soft cheese were just delicious. I cannot say I had a favorite, because all of his cheeses are just wonderfully perfect.

I couldn't stop with just a cheese platter, and decided to order a pizza. Youssef's pizzas are not like pizzas you are probably accustomed to. He uses a hard flat bread, coats them with his soft cheese, and puts tomatoes, argula and basil on top. I have added the Vromage pizza to my top favorite dishes in LA list. So fresh, flavorful, and just fantastic.

Although I was quite full at this point, I wanted to try a sandwich. The sandwich was very simple, with just some lettuce, tomato, and cheese, but a very tasty snack.

There are just a few tables to eat in this small shop, so not meant for big groups or parties, but it is perfect for a quick, delicious, gourmet bite to eat.

I will definitely be returning to Vromage. I highly recommend this store/restaurant.

Pros: Perfect vegan cheese, Very clean restaurant, friendly and helpful owner

Cheese Lovers Take Note - Edit

Well now Los Angeles residents have an alternative to dairy cheese, and it's called Vromage. It's truly a gem for vegetarians/vegans who want to eat cheese -- vegan cheese, of course.

Our family friend went and ate there yesterday, and he brought back a sampler plate with around 8 or so different cheeses plus a side of fresh baked baguette. I got to try them all and was quite pleased.

I personally do not eat or crave dairy cheese, but I would eat Vromage again. A good amount of the varieties in the sampler were soft cheeses, and a few even taste similar due the the very subtle flavor profiles.

My friends reported that the owner use organic nuts to make the cheese, and in a very healthy way without smoking them.

I would definitely want to try the sandwich or flatbread when I get a chance. Go!

vegan cheese shop! - Edit

I stopped in with a friend to sample some of the cheeses. They actually serve some sandwiches and such, but we had already eaten lunch. Next time. As for the cheeses, the owner let us sample about 15 of them which was all that were available. He was working on some others that were not ready yet. Each one was delicious and favorites depended on personal taste. He uses every kind of nut including cashew, macadamia, pistachio, brazil nut, etc. They are sold by weight, in ounce increments. We each bought three different types of cheeses. I look forward to the grand opening!

Pros: artisan cheese, nice owner
