delicious! - Edit
I ordered a brown rice Kung pao. I found the flavours great and the serving size was great, not too big or too small. There were a couple of seats but not many. I think people must take away more often than not. The staff were nice too. Recommend.

Nice concept and good food - Edit
This place offers many decent choices for a quick bite. I tried the cheese, avocado and steak sandwich and a quesadilla. Both were good and proposed at a fair price. I also took a piece of cake I really enjoyed. I apreciated the concept of the restaurant and will definitely go back if in the area. The place is small so it's better to take away.
Pros: good food, various choices, friendly staff
Cons: small

Fantastic food! Try the (vegan) shrimp salad! - Edit
The shrimp and caramelised walnut salad is to die for. So tasty! Small cafe with only a few tables, but don't let that put you off - the food is great (and convenient if you have to catch a train from Penn)!

Best burger I've had in NYC - Edit
I've tried several vegan burgers in NYC, and the one I tried in VLife was clearly the best (and the others were amazing too!). I clearly recommend this place, with a large choice of food.
I just tried in once but I might come (too) often!
Cons: The place is just next to my appartment... I'm gon

Vegan fast food, pretty yummy - Edit
VLife is a small little cafe resturant with very limited seating, it is best for those doing take out.
I really enjoyed their bubble tea (thai tea flavor) and it was really sweet and flavorful, really vibrant orange (don't wear white while drinking it!)
We ordered two dishes, I don't remember the names. One was a white sauce and tofu, rice, and veggie dish. Honestly the sauce was basically vegan mayo- if that wasn't the primary ingredient I would be suprised. The veggies didn't seem to go with the dish that well(romaine lettuce and tomato slices I think, and large pieces of onion). Think of it as a deconstructed tofu veggie sandwich with a may sauce and no bread. The dish itself may not be a problem, it may just be I wasn't expecting this from what I read on the menu so keep that in mind.
The dish my mom ordered was I think teriyaki or a brown sauce with green beans and fake chicken. Really good veggie chicken and the dish was very yummy. If I go back I would order her dish or try something else. They have a pretty nice little menu so I'd be willing to go back and try something else.
The place was pretty crowded and you don't have a lot of time to decide what you want so if you think it will take a bit take a menu and try to get out of the way, the line does move pretty fast but it seemed to be pretty long. We ordered around lunch on a week day, but not prime lunch time.
I would go back here, I just would not order the dish I ordered the first time again. It really is more of a fast food small cafe style place. They got our food together very fast and we were lucky enough to get a table by the time they had it ready to go (we asked for take out).
I can't remember how eco friendly the take out dishes themselves were, they appear to be some type of plastic so if that is an issue for you- you might want to do your best to eat in.
The staff were also pretty friendly. It definately feels like it caters to a younger crowd and they do know how to cook. I think my dish was just a bit of a miss.
Proportions did seem a little small for the cost and it being fast food. Mostly I wish I had ordered more or knew how much to expect when I ordered, but for being vegan and in NYC it is probably fair priced. (I'm not from NYC so I don't actually know what is normal or not for non-vegan or vegan food).
Pros: Yummy bubble tea, Nice asian/american fast-mostly healthy food, Fast
Cons: Wish there was just a bit more food for price, Wish menu was a little more specific for sauces, Wish the veggies in rice bowl were chopped smaller

Good food - Edit
I liked the food I had here... it was tasty. Pricey, but tasty. The leechi (sp) bubble tea was like water with tapioca pearls...not enough flavor at all. Maybe just a one time thing. I'd go back.

great first impression - Edit
Never been here since I'm from CT, but needed a quick bite in a vegan place before a concert at MSG. This was the closest place and it was a good choice. I had the eggplant wrap and it was delicious! The mango bubble tea was also very good. Good choice for me.
Cons: very small, not many tables to eat in. but that's

Good for a quick bite - Edit
I've been to VLife a few times now and the food is pretty good and consistent. I've tried various dishes, the quesadillas being my favorite so far. As others have mentioned, this place is big on mock meat and cheeses. Also, this place is so far the only restaurant I know of that has vegan bubble tea!
Pros: Vegan bubble tea, Friendly staff

squishy quesadilla - Edit
I went there once and had a quesadilla and a white pretzel brownie. The quesadilla was extremely squishy and a mess to eat. It had some soy protein on it that I absolutely did not like and I will steer clear of anything with soy protein at this joint on future visits. The brownie was just alright. The cream on top was way too much and I didn't find the pretzel to be too fitting taste-wise; it also made the brownie so much harder to eat. I was expecting something different, maybe with pretzel bits and white chocolate chips, but it was just a regular brownie with that decoration. The presentation of the food was not very nice, and the place was not that great to eat in. I might need to try it again though.
Pros: Fast, Good portion size

It is what it is - Edit
My husband came here because we wanted something fairly cheap before we dropped $50 at a karaoke bar. This was the cheapest all vegan place in the area. I was not 100% sold on our meal, and most of the menu is centered around mock meats in a western style dish (burgers, sandwiches, etc) We don't mind this type of dining, but I can see why some vegans would be very disappointed. The food was okay, nothing earth shattering. The seating wasn't the greatest, better than a Chinese take out. The walls were white with bright green circles decals. There were about 3 table to seat at, but it seemed most of their business was take out. It got the job done, and I think I would come back again if we are in that area of NYC.
Pros: Cheap for NYC, Good location, Large selection
Cons: Mostly mock meats

Good but could use more - Edit
I went to VLife twice during my trip to NYC. The menu has a lot of options and the food is good. It just was not quite enough. Both times I found myself hoping for a little something more. A little more excitement. Or a little more flavor. After eating I was left with the feeling that my meal was incomplete.

Awesome - Edit
We were visiting New York for New Years and found this awesome little spot within walking distance to our hotel. Smoothies for breakfast twice in a row and would've been three but they closed on New Years day and we were saddened! Also tried a couple different breakfast sandwiches which we loooved! Try it!

Please Ban This Place! - Edit
Very low quality food that serve a fluo salad McDonald's style. Is it even real salad?!
The space is tiny and not relaxing at all, with horrible lights and seating.
The only food that was ok was the cheescake... but guess what? they get it from Champs and sell smaller slices!
One of the worse places ever!
