Solid fries - Edit
The fries were fried very crispy but not too oily. I had the fries with satay (peanut) sauce which was vegan. They also have other sauces which could be vegan, just ask.
Read morePros: Crsipy fries, A lot of sauces, Fair prices
Cons: Peanut sauce a bit sweet for my personal taste

decent fries but not worth queueing for - Edit
fries were solid but I’ve some good fries from different snack bars and other friet stands around the city and there’s not much that really makes it worth the wait unless you really want fries and don’t want to walk the extra 500m to another place and get roughly the same quality.

Okay - Edit
I'd been recommended this place heartily, and there was quite a queue when we got there, and it had a sign saying "number one in Holland", so it was quite promising, but I found it very so-so. I got a middle-sized portion and asked for ketchup but they gave mayo, maybe out of muscle memory or they misheard me, fair enough. I clarified I wanted ketchup and he asked if it was okay on the side, dumped the chips that had mayo on them, added more chips, and put ketchup on them. There was a bit of mayo on the edge of the cone but none got on my chips so, fine. All the ketchup was on the top few chips but that's just one of them things. Some of the chips looked a bit green too but they haven't made me sick yet so fingers crossed.
Read moreIt was €4 for that; the portion seemed quite small to be honest, but it did give me enough energy to walk through De Pijp to Amstelstation and not be hungry til I got home, and it was the first meal I'd had that day, so take that observation with a pinch of salt. For the price, well, it is in a capital city centre after all. Maybe I'm spoilt by the huge £1.50 bags of chips I used to get in north England. Maybe this is a bit of a tourist trap; hard to tell when nonessential travel is basically banned. I'm yet to find my frituur of choice in Amsterdam.
Pros: Chips are chips I suppose, People working there are nice enough
Cons: Very few vegan options, Small portions (I thought at the time)

Very tasty chips! - Edit
This is a rather famous chip shop known for its mega tasty fries. There can be rather large queues but it’s well worth the wait. Chips served in a cone and vegan mayo available. Very reasonably priced and located right in the heart of Amsterdam. A must visit for chip lovers!
