Vegan junk food? - Edit
Sometimes, vegans eat well, so they have juice and salad. Sometimes, vegans do not eat well, and they eat deep fried goodness and sandwiches the size of our faces... and they survive. Here at Buva La Vegan, you sort of have the option to go either way. They do have a raw collard wrap and raw dessert, as well as smoothies and a kale salad. However, they also have deep fried snacks like cauliflower and cheese and sweet potato fries and regular fries and egg rolls and chili cheese fries and fried lasagna...
The staff is friendly, and the food is made to order- so, be patient. The prices aren't crazy, but you will probably wish they were a bit lower. However, there is definitely a ton of food with your order!
You are probably already en route to Viva La Vegan! You will be happy, very happy, as long as you toss calorie counting to the side for one fantastic meal of Southern-infused veganized American fare. I can't get over how low key the location is for this eatery- just about 4-5 tables and a lot of floor space. The parking is also low key to match the signage, which you may miss.
Ok, bottom line- if you crave vegan junk food, this will hit the spot.
Pros: All vegan , Separates soy vs non-soy on the menu, Jackfruit is the new meat substitute
Cons: Calorie intense

Excellent Food and Service! - Edit
The food and the service was amazing. I ordered the stuffed avocado. The dish is served with nut meat, which my first time experiencing nut meat. The avocado was stuffed with the nut meat and topped with pico de gallo. So tasty and filling! My main course was the Tostado. This dish was good but was topped with a vegan cheese. I am not a cheese lover and I only eat certain Daiyo cheeses. I would order the same entire, again, but without the cheese.
Pros: Food is excellent., Friendly staff
Cons: Very pricy for a "lil spot" that's not high end.

Viva La Vegan - Edit
I have been here three times. I came here after visiting another vegan restaurant which the server recommended. My last visit was 12/21/2016. Every time I go it gets better and better. My first visit I had a Pizza Burrito, collard green spring roll, and Sorrel. My second visit was just 2 collard green spring rolls. Yesterday I had the Philly. I never knew of Jackfruit but it was delicious. It actually taste like meat. I have been on the journey to eat better in 2017. I'm glad I tried this place and will continue to patronize this restaurant. The staff is great and the food is unbelievable. Thanks for adding a positive fixture to the neighborhood!!!!!
Pros: Promptness of service, Even though they dont

A Hidden Heaven - Edit
This is right next to Big Daddy's Meats. There is a big sign for Big Daddy's Meats but a barely noticeable sign for the Vegan restaurant. The neighborhood may seem questionable and the inside of the restaurant is not fancy. The food however is another level. Absolutely fantastic!!!The only drawback is the portion size. They are huge. If you're Vegan and hungry, this is the place.

Jackfruit Philly is a revelation! - Edit
A lot of reviewers talk about the Jackfruit Philly, and with good reason. I wish more vegan places would embrace the possibilities of jackfruit! Vegans who cannot eat soy have few options at a lot of vegan places, but not here!
You've gotta try this place, trust us!
Pros: Jackfruit options, Non-soy options clearly identified

Better than the first pages of the bible. - Edit
The food is absolutely amazing. I ordered the Philly combo and I almost wet my pants. The oreo cheesecake is bomb as well.
Pros: Get a lot of food for your money
Cons: Needs to open 100 more locations

Not a nice area but the food makes up for it. - Edit
If you saw this driving by you'd 1. Never know it was a vegan restaurant. And 2. You wouldn't want to stop in the area.
But it's totally worth it! The food is a bit pricey (12 dollars for a "chicken" gyro - no side or drink included), but if you want to spend a little bit extra it's definitely worth it! Would definitely recommend taking it to go.

Love - Edit
I had the buffalo cauliflower after seeing a post in the Atlanta Vegan group on Facebook. Let me just put it like this. I ate there three days in a row. Day 2, I had the jackfruit Philly (OMG) and po' boy on Day 3.

Greay vegan restaurant - Edit
We just tried Viva La Vegan for the first time and we were very pleased with our food. We ordered the shrimp po boy and philly combo. The shrimp po boy was AMAZING!!! It was my favorite out of the two, however the Philly was great as well. The sauce on the po boy has a nice tangy flavor. The philly is made with jackfruit which was something I wasn't familiar with prior to coming to this restaurant. The only con of eating here was that it took a very long time for our food to come out. I would definitely suggest calling ahead to place in your order to avoid the long wait. Other than that, we were very satisfied with Viva La Vegan. This place is a gem for the location it is in.

excellent - Edit
This place is low key...but the food is really good. Went there on thanksgiving week. They had a different menu to choose from...try the Swedish meatballs, the Mac and cheese and the apple pie for desert...you won't be disappointed.

One of the tastiest vegan joints around! - Edit
The food we had blew my mind how good it was. They've got items that no other vegan restaurant has. They have such a big variety for a small place and everything was delicious. The location is easy to miss because it is a tiny shopping center. These guys are new, so show some love and support them! You gotta try the apple pie! Five stars!
Pros: Tasty, Variery, Nice people
Cons: Location

Wow!! - Edit
I would echo what a few others have said you may drive up to this place and think about passing by as it is not in the nicest plaza. Please try it, many great vegan places don't lion like much on the outside. I eat at a lot of vegan places when I travel and the portobello philly was one of the better sandwiches I have had. They were super nice and fast with the food and the prices are very reasonable. Try it out you won't regret it.
Pros: Great food , Super nice people, not far from airport
Cons: not the beat location

Great - Edit
I really hope this little restaurant makes it because the food is excellent. Unfortunately the location is awful. My friend and I enjoyed the Philly sub, dill fries, cheese sticks, and falafel wrap. Everything was tasty. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The prices were reasonable.

Decided to check this place out! - Edit
We were on a road trip from Georgia to Florida and decided to browse through happycow in Atlanta area. Knowing there was a ton in downtown, we wanted to go off the beaten path and try this place out. We definitely drove past it because there's really no sign. We laughed that it would be next to that meat place, well it is! There's not much to pull you into going in here but trust me, the staff and food are well worth it! One ordered the BBQ jackfruit with full fries, another ordered chikn gyro with fried cauliflower and I ordered the chikn n waffles. Everything was so good! We filled up our bellies and set in our travels. Thank you!
Pros: food, staff
Cons: no sign, interesting interior
