Carnivore bar with vegan products - Edit
Small bar near to Lavapies square with Mexican style. They serves meat but they have some vegan options as "tortilla de patata", etc.. Is not expensive.

Incredible vegan tortilla - Edit
We had an excellent brunch at Viva Chapata, including a hot beverage, fresh orange juice, a yogurt/fruit and nuts bowl, a piece of Spanish tortilla, and a desert. Everything was delicious. The place is cute with a really nice atmosphere. Staff is very friendly and helpful. We also tried croquettes de boletus, and it was delicious as well. We definitely have to go back because there were so many options that I wanted to try !

El platillo que probé (arepa de heura) estaba regular de sabor, sirven muy poco y el precio es caro para lo que es. El personal es muy amable. Por el precio y lo que dan, se encuentre cosas mejores veganas en otros restaurantes. Pagué 20euros por un plato de arepa y una limonada casera.

Una buena oportunidad para probar versiones veganas de comida típica española y vivir la experiencia del tapeo sin preocuparnos por las opciones! Probamos la tortilla y la chapata partisana (bien), y las croquetas, que no fueron mis favoritas, pero quiero a volver y probar otros platos. Nos encantó el ambiente y el servicio era muy amable!

Viva Chapata is a cozy nice vegan restaurant where I had vegan calamari for the first time. I was amazed! Very very similar to the real ones! The croquetas were really good as well. The people working there are so nice and helpful, they will answer all your questions. I recommend anyone visiting Madrid to try this place!

Los nachos sí que me gustaron especialmente.
Tendría que volver para probar más cosas, pero mi valoración de momento es que está bien, pero no alucinante. Para mí no ha destacado especialmente, un vegano más, pero cumple su función.

I got the viva tortilla chapata - basically a massive sandwich filled with potato! It was really good but very filling. Plus as is common in Spain I was brought 2 pinchos (bread with tapenade/tomato and with hummus). It was super cheap too.

Encantado con este sitio. Tenían menú del día y me apetecía mucho probar el cocido. Me encanta el cocido, pero nunca lo había probado en el formato “madrileño”. Me gustó mucho, me sentó fenomenal. Reivindicar la cocina tradicional y ofrecerla en versión vegana me parece valioso. La próxima vez, eso sí, probaré los bocadillos de pan de chapata, que también tenían una pintaza.

Absolutely loved the Spanish omelette, squid rings, and everything we got really. The staff were extremely kind. The restaurant was only offering tapas when we were there, but surely this is a great place for a more substantial meal too.

Went without a reservation & sadly could only sit outside. However, the staff was lovey and the food was good. For the main dishes, the portion sizes vary greatly in size, which left my friend rather hungry. Nice options, there is something for everyone on the menu.

Friendly service and really good food. We actually thought the kitchen was closed, so we stood outside trying to find a new plan. The server came out and cleared everything up for us. Whew! The had space for all seven of us. The food was well prepared, and they had something for all of our diverse tastes - while still feeling authentic. The coffee and rum drink and the dark Alhambra were a nice surprise. And the food was super tasty
