Nice

Nice option if you are close to Oxford street. As others have said, the food is simple but tasty and healthy. I really liked the chickpeas with coconut milk and curry.

Be sure to take the box, it's cheaper!

Pros: Food, Price

The buffet has an Interesting concept (pay by the weight of the plate).
Tasty, healthy, very rich food selection. Really enjoyed it.

Pros: location, accessibility, decoration, rich menu

Cons: a little expensive

really impressed! loved it!

I passed by this place by chance this evening and im so glad i did! It's a really cosy, quirky little gem. You grab a plate and it's weighed and you can go back and top up. Buffets are always a success because you try exactly what you want and how much - in this case it was all of everything. I went back for seconds. I've already organised to go back soon. Next time I'll be having dessert! Staff were friendly. The atmosphere was nice (you really notice this eating out solo). The food was good. The options were plentiful. They also had boxes for takeaway (much more affordable - i think £7ish to fill up). Overall a great find.

Food wasn't fresh but staff were nice

Pay-by-the-box, to-go and I couldn't decide what to get so I got the mushroom stew, mushroom stroganoff, mash and BBQ jackfruit. The mash and jackfruit were reasonable, the mushroom dishes not so much but I think that's because I got them at 10:30pm and they'd been sitting there for probably hours making the mushrooms rubbery. Also got a lemon cheesecake which I wasn't a fan of but other people might like it. I think the food would have been better if it was fresh but I can't say my food was great. Also, because it was sitting out and you helped yourself, I don't know how sanitary it all was. The staff were nice, though.

Warning: they only accept cash. There's an ATM a couple of minutes away.

Pros: Convenient, Reasonably priced, Friendly staff

Cons: Food wasn't fresh (though I visited late at night), Only accepts cash, Food needs improvement overall

Chocolate Ganache I think I love you

I have been to Vantra Vitao twice in three years and I could never make myself try the Buffet, but that's just me.
I had the Chocolate Ganache because it's in the chiller behind the counter so I didn't have to worry about it being fresh :it's absolutely delicious, creamy and rich, worth every penny!
The rest of the food I can't comment on,as I can't bring myself to eat anything from an open buffet, exposed to anybody entering the restaurant. It would be better to have someone serving customers instead but it's not up to me.
The prices are high,I don't regret 4.50£ for a slice of cake but the buffet food is sold by weight which I think it's ludicrous. But again,it's not up to me.
I only go for the cake.

Pros: Vegan Cheesecake

Cons: Price, Stale

cozy

Very cozy cafe. Love the Vibe. I had the buffet. A Lot og healthy cooked meals. The curry was Awesome but the rest rather tasteless and boring. Kinda expensive. Had the Lemon cheesecake. It was delicious! Very nice staff

An odd little place

Been here a few times. The buffet boxes are good but some of the things available to fill them with have really offending and overpowering tastes, which is why I tend to stick to the foods I know when filling my box. The juices and mylkshakes are good and come in a wide variety of flavours but really expensive for the size. The place is a little dark and dingy but the decor is interesting and it is usually very quiet and relaxed. The staff are approachable and service is decent. One of the main things to like about this place is how it looks so incongruous amongst all the big chain stores on Oxford Street, it's like a juice-bar-come-beach-hut has been implanted in the middle of a metropolis.

Pros: Amazing range of options, Convenient location for a London shopping day, Quiet atmosphere

Cons: Expensive, Some of the buffet foods do not taste great, Some of the 'hot food' is not kept very warm

Unhygienic

I stopped to look at the food - it looked old, overpriced and not safe to eat. The tables didn't seem clean and there was food all over the floor from the buffet. There are much better places in London.

Cons: Overpriced, Lack of hygiene

Too much Fermentation

Not a huge selection of food items but definitely a lot of raw and fermented foods for raw vegans. For me there were just too many raw salads and the sour smell was too much to handle.

Pros: Plenty of raw vegan foods, Friendly staff, Kind of unique atmosphere

Cons: Not a lot of food items overall, No cash payment

Really terrible food

I found the food here literally barely edible. I have eaten at vegan buffets all over the world and this was overwhelmingly the worst. The food tastes awful. The supposed kimchi tasted like fizzy, spoiled cucumber (and I *love* kimchi). The other dishes were strangely flavoured and soggy. I abandoned my meal halfway through. I rarely give negative reviews but this one is thoroughly deserved.

Pros: None!

Cons: Terrible food, Grungy and unhygienic, Not cheap

Too experimental - too expensive.

Ordered a plate could not for the life of me finish it. For nearly £13 the food should have been edible. It smells like feet and tastes like feet.

Pros: Everything's vegan, Staff is friendly

Cons: Expensive, Restaurant smells like a food waste bin

Not impressed and expensive

The cooked food was bland unfortunately, I can do much better at home and the price was very high for the quality.
Didn't try any of the desserts though.
Wide open front was letting cold and all street noise in.

Cons: Expensive, Poor food, cold and noise from the street

wish I found it earlier

For some reason all of the user photographs of this place are really crummy (sorry!), they do the place no justice whatsoever. The choices here are really extensive, they had an entire row of probiotic items - mostly different variations of kimchi. My favorite bit were all of the different toppings / oils / peppers which were all free. Feels very surreal to sit down and eat such good food with buses flying by on oxford street! Such a gem.

Pros: probiotic foods, great location, huge portions

Cons: none I could think of

Amazing food great prices

Truley vegan and super healthy food. you wont find any sugar or junk food here yet the desserts are absolutely delicious. eat here before 5pm and its really cheap ... fill a box for less than £8 from a healthy buffet with lots of creative dishes. in the evening food is weighed so costs more , although they still do take outs at day prices. Juices and smoothies are amazing. Owner and staff superfriendly and very hospitable.

Pros: great food, great prices, very helpful people

Cons: can be busy, in evenings better to book , wish it was my local

Interesting atmosphere

I liked the unexpected design of this busy streetside café, something like African-meets-woodland-Fairy-grotto.
Pay per weight is a nice and relaxed way to dine, the food that was being kept warm was very inviting, but I was already full from scouting around other vegan places in London so I only had one of their Immunity juices (a bit pricey).
The place was empty when I came in, but filled up very quickly several times. The counter area is a bit too narrow for larger groups, so you end up queuing in the street or inside the café, thus blocking other customers.

Pros: Atmosphere

Cons: Small counter area

Great food and good taste

The part I like the most is they seldom use onion and garlic. And they use herbs extensively but the the food is not spicy (hot). All tastes are natural. The fragmented raw fruit and veg are a must try.

My go to spot in London, huge variety

Eat from a variety of different cuisines. Even the fussiest of Vegans will take to something. A great spot for lunch or evening dinner, the buffet style adds an interesting concept and experience to the restaurant.

Pros: huge variety, many organic, gluten free and raw options, unique design with quick no fuss experience

Cons: pollution from Oxford street, heavy chairs , small space

great vegan restaurant !!!

I really love this place. Has a perfect central location. Once you step inside the restaurant you feel as though you have been transported outside of London! The food is amazing - if you eat super clean vegan, then you defiantly have good options here as well. I love their desserts - so yummy !! You can either order off the menu - or help yourself to the self service buffet. The staff are fantastic and super friendly. I get really positive vibes every time I am here. Only downside is the food is a bit pricy - so be careful not to overload your plate at the buffet - you might get a bit of a fright when it comes to pay ! But I have to say, it is definitely worth the price.

Pros: awesome location , vegan buffet , quality food

Cons: small venue , a bit pricy

Vantra

Reasonably priced with a good range of delicious food but absolute chaos. It wasn't busy when I visited but my friends and I were ignored as we walked in despite there being numerous ways of picking and paying for food. Nobody explained anything to us. We waited around for ten minutes until we finally just asked at the till. We then had to wait another ten minutes to be given our boxes to fill up. Nobody explained drinks to us so we didn't have any drinks. The food was nice but I wouldn't eat here again. It would be more convenient to pop in and grab some food to takeaway, but only if you're in the area.

Great take-away lunch

I didn't have much time before my flight, so I could only buy take-away food at Vantra Vitao. It's super-cheap (something like 7 pounds for a large box where you can stuff a lot of things in), and the choice is great, so many things to eat! It was really unfortunate not to be able to sit down and enjoy the full buffet. I would love to go back with more time and do that!

Pros: Great choice, Tasty food, Cheap

Good healthy food

This place is awesome. They are truly health focused and prepare simple tasty food. If you prefer salty and oily food with lots of spices, you probably won't be impressed. If you like to eat whole foods with minimal to no salt or cooked oils, then this is the place for you.

Pros: excellent food, healthy

Bring all your money!

The food isn't bad but it's not great AND it's way overpriced.

Seriously, expect to pay over the top prices for mediocre dining.

Oh, and the wooden chairs are a bit uncomfortable and the waitress was grumpy.

Pros: Good selection of food

Cons: Too expensive, Poor service, Uncomfortable
