Serves meat, vegan options available. Family run hotel and restaurant located in the hills above Santa Elena with a view of Arenal Volcano and lake. Most of the fruits and vegetables are grown on the family's permaculture farm. 100% of the electricity is generated from a hydroelectric generator located on the property and water is sourced from a natural spring. Vegan dishes include a vegan casado (traditional Costa Rican dish), pasta with tomato sauce, vegetable fajita, salad and smoothies. Normally caters for guests so book in advance on by WhatsApp 00506 83801517. Can cater for large groups and parties. Open Mon-Sun 7:00am-9:00pm.

Good gallo pinto - Edit
Tasty gallo pinto breakfast and they brought out some kind of squash fritter, super tasty and haven't found it anywhere else. The way they accommodate is very nice, they make up a plate with what they have instead of just removing meat and leaving you with a small amount to eat.

We found this amazing place nestled in the hills above Santa Elena, Monteverde. It is high up in the cloud forest and has spectacular elevated views of Arenal Volcano and lake. It is out of town, but worth the effort to get there. Just need to call in advance to book on 00506 83801517
