Best vegan pizza!

I have been here countless times and it always hits the spot. Virtuous pie has the best vegan pizza I’ve tried hands down and their cashew cheese is gooey and melted to perfection! They have a large variety of unique pizzas that are all delicious, my favourites being the Hawaiian summer, forager and sgt. pepperoni.

They also have a variety of pasta and yummy appetizers. The mac and cheese is to die for and I crave it consistently.

Don’t get me started on the cannoli… it’s a whole experience let me tell ya, I’m drooling just thinking of them.

Pros: amazing cheese, unique pizza toppings, yummy desserts

Excellent Pizzas and salads

The pizzas and the salads were so yummy. I went with a non vegan friend and he said that's the pizza he had!
The salads portions were huge to our delight for $4!!!

Pros: Yummy, Fresh, Very reasonably priced

good pizza

Lots of options for vegan pizza, unfortunately we didn't try the ice-cream. I had a classic tomato basil pizza which had a nice soft cheese sauce which I think they made themselves. My partner had a more interesting spicy Mexican pizza flavour. The dough was fresh and tasty, pizzas are pretty large but not huge

A must-visit place!

Completely vegan pizza spot with unique flavours (Stranger Wings and Kim Jack are my personal favourites!), and their homemade ice cream is some of the best I've *ever* tried, with fantastic flavour combos. Absolutely don't skip this place!

Amazing pizza

I just get so excited when a pizza menu is fully vegan! The mozzarella was so good, melted nicely and tasted amazing and the ranch just topped it off. Would totally go here again!

Craving another pizza that pie.

This place was truly delicious!! Kudos to all the pizza places out there offering Daiya, but the Virtuous Pie really steps things up a notch and blows them out of the water. Super creative topping combos, delicious crust, all-around awesome option for wood-fired pizza lovers! Yes, it was super hot indoors, but what are you going to do? Box it up and go for a walk :)

Really Good Vegan Pizza

I came here for a late lunch and shared with friends the "Stranger Wings" pizza, plus the kale caesar and the charcoal kombucha. I was impressed with the pizza crust and flavours; it was definitely a satisfying pizza experience. The caesar and kombucha were good but not especially memorable. It was also extremely hot inside (on a ~25 degree summer day), but the decor was nice and made up for it.

Pros: Good vegan pizza, Class interior

Cons: Salad could have been better, Hot inside

Forget the pizza, just get the ice cream

I was excited to try this place, but my experience fell flat. We ordered the sausage-chèvre and the ultraviolet with two side salads. First off, the salad was so loaded with vegan shredded cheese (daiya?) that it became a little off-putting after a few bites. Second, the sausage-chèvre toppings were beyond disappointing. The sausage had a weirdly floury, mushy mouthfeel to it and didn't taste like much. The chèvre was plain salty and nothing else. But my biggest problem was with the pizza crust. Mine was the regular wheat version and was too thin and crispy. No flavor or structure whatsoever. It was almost like eating a thin toast or cracker with stuff on it. These should be called flatbreads at best, not pizza. When I saw them pull premade crusts out of a bag while waiting in line, I knew this would be dud.

I was there just a few days back and it was summer and warm outside. It was even warmer inside. Like an oven. Good thing they had sparkling water alongside the regular. Funny thing was they had multiple fans in the kitchen strategically pointed toward the staff, but only one at the order counter toward the customers. Maybe invest in a few fans in the dining area?

All that being said, I did like the toppings on the ultraviolet despite the cardboard they called a crust. The other saving grace was the ice cream. I liked the funky flavors and got the banana charcoal coconut and turmeric black pepper. Big scoops and very good.

I feel like this place wouldn't have much going for it if it weren't for the all-out vegan toppings. But then they're not even that good. If you value that, you may like the food here better than I did. I'd much rather go to an authentic pizza restaurant that does things right even if they have little for vegans.

Awesome food

The fact that this place is packed in peak hours speaks for itself.

Their pizza is pure bliss (especially with some cider). The price point is comfortable. I think I tried all of the pizzas at this point but I would not be able to pinpoint a favourite because they are all very good.

Their ice cream is lovely, especially coffee and doughnuts flavour.

Pros: Unique pizzas, Friendly staff

Cons: Wait time could be long, A tad hot in the summer

hit the spot!

If you are in the mood for pizza you have to hit this place up! Unique combinations of pizza! I loved them all and can't pick a favorite!
Despite being busy we found a seat and pizza's came quickly (before I finished my tasty local beer)with a smile. It looks like they do a lot of take away business.
We didn't try any but the salads also looked good.

Pros: taste, gluten free crust was excellent, quick

Amazing

I had high expectations and they were definitely met. It was a cute little hip place and our order was very quick. We tried the Ultraviolet, stranger wings and the Kim jack. The ultraviolet was very good but more traditional. The stranger wings and Kim Jack were amazing and were definitely my favs. We also tried the ice cream. It was super thick and creamy but in a good way. Definitely recommend this place.

Pros: Quick, Unique Flavours

Cons: Doesn't fill you up too much

I am in love with Virtuous Pie!

Salads are always on point and with the heavy hitters such as Curry Mile, Jack-Ill, and Stranger Wings your taste buds will be in pure ecstasy. I've yet to be hungry enough to taste the ice cream though I'm sure it's amazing. Will have to indulge this summer.

Pros: Pizza, unique, filling yet not heavy, fast friendl

Cons: limited seating

Best Vegan Pizza!

I hadpretty much given up on a good vegan pizza, then I had the chance to go here while visiting Vancouver! The cashew mozzarella makes all the difference and even my brother who isn't vegan said it tasted like regular cheese. Overall the pizza was amazing, the environment and employees were amazing, and their ice cream was amazing! If only this place existed in Los Angeles ?

Flavourful Pizza

We had no idea what to expect on our way to this place, but were pleasantly surprised to find a very modern and clean looking establishment. The menu had some very interesting selections. We each chose our own flavour different from each other plus juice to drink. The drinks were a very interestingly flavoured combination of juices and herbs/spices. I liked the bench style sitting arrangement which allowed conversation with people who happened to be sitting next to you, or not. The pizzas, compared to the typical 'Canadian' style we're used to (where there are more toppings than crust) looked small and sparsely garnished. We wondered if this would fill us up or not as we're big eaters. The texture of the crust was really nice, crunchy with a chewy inner which forced us to chew more than the usual inhale style of eating we usually partake in when really hungry thus allowing for better and more complete digestion of our meal thus filling us up quite nicely by the end of our lunch. The flavours were very nice; well balanced and robust. During the lunch hour rush we didn't have to wait very long until our pizzas and drinks were served. The prices were reasonable. We'll certainly go back to try other items on the menu, and you should too!

Pros: Flavourful, Nice atmosphere, Pleasant staff

Cons: Personally, I prefer whole grain flour crust

Best Vegan Pizza

This pizza blew my mind simply because of the super tasty vegan mozzarella in combination with the traditional pizza crust, marinara and basil. The other options looked super tasty as well but I really wanted to try the margarita (which I recommend). Great little place for a quick lunch or dinner!

Pros: Very real vegan Mozzarella , Super Good, All around tasteful

Cons: None

BEST PIZZA IN VAN

I took my mother (she isn't veg) out to virtuous pie and we fell in love. She was so impressed and fooled by the quality of the vegan cheese. We ordered the med, margarita, and stranger wings. It was great to try the three difference styles of their cheese (Gary) making. I would highly recommend stranger wings but my mother preferred the med. I will for sure be going again! My one (slight) complaint is that when I ordered a beer they asked me for ID and then the worker wasn't convinced to proceeded to ask me for a second piece of ID and then asked to see a credit card. This same worker also didn't take our order properly and forgot on of our pizzas. This being said, they are a new restaurant so I totally understand slip ups like that, they corrected it quickly and gave us the pizza for free! I'm still a bit off put about the ID thing. I'm recommending this place to all of my friends!

Pros: vegan, Gary, wonderful atmosphere

Cons: busy

Amazing pizza that's ALL vegan

Virtuous Pie is what Vancouver vegans have been waiting for. All vegan pizza with interesting toppings like roasted pine nuts, walnut pesto, cashew mozzarella and kimchi to name a few.

Service is fast and friendly and the pizza's won't disappoint. I loved that they have gluten-free crust as an option and you can add extra toppings if you want to mix it up or add more...the pizza I ordered didn't have as many toppings as I would have hoped but was still flavorful.

I tried 2 flavors of the ice cream and both were delicious. Nice big bench tables for groups and a really great vegan vibe!

As a driver I didn't know the area well but found it easy to park on the road beside Pacific Central Station and just walk a few blocks to the restaurant.

One final thought outside the food I love their mission to support a healthy planet and to change the way people eat, and mobilize positive change in the world. For that alone I would give them 5 stars but the overall service, food and vibe is very well deserving.

Pros: All vegan, Great food and options, Friendly staff

Cons: Limited parking

My husband had the Mediterranean with babaganouch olives feta and falafel .
Both were excellent
