Scrumptious - Edit

This is a must try vegan pizza place. The pizza is thin-crust and the GF versus regular tasted the same to me which is a plus - both were delish. There aren’t a-lot of toppings on the pizza but the cheese and toppings were scrumptious. The dipping sauces were out of this world - truly amazing!

Pros: excellent food, gluten free options

Cons: little bit of a wait

Wish I was staying longer - Edit

I’m only in Vancouver for holidays so not enough time to try every flavour. It was a Saturday night and there is limited seating. As soon as I saw 2 empty seats I sat down. We ordered two pizzas but I would have liked to have tried the ice cream. Not enough time unfortunately! I liked the crust and the flavours of the pizza. It’s just a bit difficult to sit down at busy times.

Cons: limited seating

AMAAAAAZZZZINGGG! - Edit

I visited a couple of weeks ago; most delicious pizza ever! Plus it was happy hour so pizza and a beer cost less than a sandwich in other places. I was too full to try the ice cream; will have to return as I've heard it is so yum 😋

The salads portions were huge to our delight for $4!!!

Even non vegans love this place. They make amazing pizza with really inventive flavours. All of them are good, but my favourites are the Kim Jack, Stranger Wings, and Curry Mile.

good pizza - Edit

Lots of options for vegan pizza, unfortunately we didn't try the ice-cream. I had a classic tomato basil pizza which had a nice soft cheese sauce which I think they made themselves. My partner had a more interesting spicy Mexican pizza flavour. The dough was fresh and tasty, pizzas are pretty large but not huge

Amazing pie, amazing ice cream... Time to try the brunch! - Edit

Do you like plant based pizza with vegan cheese that's not plastic? Well, you've come to the right place! I've tried superfunghi and ultraviolet and am super determined to try EVERYTHING ELSE.

The ice cream and salad are also to die for. I had the greek salad with vegan feta and my lil bro couldn't tell the difference. Kombucha on tap. A vegan Vancouverites dream. They usually have fresh new menu stuff, and a rotating ice cream menu that's out of this world.

They just opened up their new brunch menu that I am SO excited to try. Virtuous pie is the best.

Pros: Truly plant based, delicious vegan food, Honestly my fave place ever, Fresh rotating menu.

Cons: Nothing.

A must-visit place! - Edit

Completely vegan pizza spot with unique flavours (Stranger Wings and Kim Jack are my personal favourites!), and their homemade ice cream is some of the best I've *ever* tried, with fantastic flavour combos. Absolutely don't skip this place!

Best Vegan Ice Cream EVER! - Edit

My husband and I have ordered from Virtuous Pie a few times now. While there are a couple pizzas that aren't pleasing to my personal palette, there are a few that are outstanding and the PB cookie dough ice cream is what dreams are made of. My favorite pizza flavors are superfunghi, meatball and chevre and ultraviolet, and my favorite dipping sauces are maple BBQ and garlic ranch. I would highly recommend the above and will definitely be ordering again and again. Just a tip: they do run out of items sometimes so be sure to order earlier in the evening if you want a specific pie or ice cream flavor!

I just get so excited when a pizza menu is fully vegan! The mozzarella was so good, melted nicely and tasted amazing and the ranch just topped it off. Would totally go here again!

Craving another pizza that pie. - Edit

This place was truly delicious!! Kudos to all the pizza places out there offering Daiya, but the Virtuous Pie really steps things up a notch and blows them out of the water. Super creative topping combos, delicious crust, all-around awesome option for wood-fired pizza lovers! Yes, it was super hot indoors, but what are you going to do? Box it up and go for a walk :)

Really Good Vegan Pizza - Edit

I came here for a late lunch and shared with friends the "Stranger Wings" pizza, plus the kale caesar and the charcoal kombucha. I was impressed with the pizza crust and flavours; it was definitely a satisfying pizza experience. The caesar and kombucha were good but not especially memorable. It was also extremely hot inside (on a ~25 degree summer day), but the decor was nice and made up for it.

Pros: Good vegan pizza, Class interior

Cons: Salad could have been better, Hot inside

Forget the pizza, just get the ice cream - Edit

I was excited to try this place, but my experience fell flat. We ordered the sausage-chèvre and the ultraviolet with two side salads. First off, the salad was so loaded with vegan shredded cheese (daiya?) that it became a little off-putting after a few bites. Second, the sausage-chèvre toppings were beyond disappointing. The sausage had a weirdly floury, mushy mouthfeel to it and didn't taste like much. The chèvre was plain salty and nothing else. But my biggest problem was with the pizza crust. Mine was the regular wheat version and was too thin and crispy. No flavor or structure whatsoever. It was almost like eating a thin toast or cracker with stuff on it. These should be called flatbreads at best, not pizza. When I saw them pull premade crusts out of a bag while waiting in line, I knew this would be dud.

I was there just a few days back and it was summer and warm outside. It was even warmer inside. Like an oven. Good thing they had sparkling water alongside the regular. Funny thing was they had multiple fans in the kitchen strategically pointed toward the staff, but only one at the order counter toward the customers. Maybe invest in a few fans in the dining area?

All that being said, I did like the toppings on the ultraviolet despite the cardboard they called a crust. The other saving grace was the ice cream. I liked the funky flavors and got the banana charcoal coconut and turmeric black pepper. Big scoops and very good.

I feel like this place wouldn't have much going for it if it weren't for the all-out vegan toppings. But then they're not even that good. If you value that, you may like the food here better than I did. I'd much rather go to an authentic pizza restaurant that does things right even if they have little for vegans.

Pros: great ice cream

Awesome food - Edit

The fact that this place is packed in peak hours speaks for itself.

Their pizza is pure bliss (especially with some cider). The price point is comfortable. I think I tried all of the pizzas at this point but I would not be able to pinpoint a favourite because they are all very good.

Their ice cream is lovely, especially coffee and doughnuts flavour.

Pros: Unique pizzas, Friendly staff

Cons: Wait time could be long, A tad hot in the summer

hit the spot! - Edit

If you are in the mood for pizza you have to hit this place up! Unique combinations of pizza! I loved them all and can't pick a favorite!
Despite being busy we found a seat and pizza's came quickly (before I finished my tasty local beer)with a smile. It looks like they do a lot of take away business.
We didn't try any but the salads also looked good.

Pros: taste, gluten free crust was excellent, quick

Best Vegan Pizza in Vancouver - Edit

This place is great if you don't mind the bad area its near. Not all pizzas on the menu are equal, Curry Mile is my favorite. There is rarely seating available for dinner, so take it next door to Starbucks, buy a drink and enjoy. Don't try the ice cream, it's lackluster and expensive.

Amazing - Edit

I had high expectations and they were definitely met. It was a cute little hip place and our order was very quick. We tried the Ultraviolet, stranger wings and the Kim jack. The ultraviolet was very good but more traditional. The stranger wings and Kim Jack were amazing and were definitely my favs. We also tried the ice cream. It was super thick and creamy but in a good way. Definitely recommend this place.

Pros: Quick, Unique Flavours

Cons: Doesn't fill you up too much

Salads are always on point and with the heavy hitters such as Curry Mile, Jack-Ill, and Stranger Wings your taste buds will be in pure ecstasy. I've yet to be hungry enough to taste the ice cream though I'm sure it's amazing. Will have to indulge this summer.

Pros: Pizza, unique, filling yet not heavy, fast friendl

Cons: limited seating

Best Vegan Pizza! - Edit

I hadpretty much given up on a good vegan pizza, then I had the chance to go here while visiting Vancouver! The cashew mozzarella makes all the difference and even my brother who isn't vegan said it tasted like regular cheese. Overall the pizza was amazing, the environment and employees were amazing, and their ice cream was amazing! If only this place existed in Los Angeles ?

Best pizza in town! - Edit

I have not yet visited the restaurant because parking is not convenient there and the place is often busy! So I was super happy when Virtuous Pie introduced delivery recently!
We ordered 5 pizza for 4 people (with of course the hope there would be leftovers for breakfast!)
We tried the Super funghi, the Ultraviolet, the Stranger Wings, the Med and the Holiday (which was the December 2016 special)
All were really great although my favourite was the Ultraviolet and everyone in the group had a different favourite,
Virtuous Pie make everything from scratch, including the cashew cheese. The gluten free crust was great, in fact people who tried both said there was not much difference between them, and one person liked the GF crust texture better!
The delivery process was good and fast and we will definitely do it again.

And yes there were leftovers for breakfast...

Pros: Delivery!!!, All vegan!, Delicious

Cons: Parking if going to the location is not great
