So good

Tried the garlic knots, the supreme fungi pizza, and had a warm chocolate chip cookie with salted caramel chocolate pretzel ice cream. It was all incredibly delicious!

Pros: Amazing food

Cons: A little hard to find

Ice Cream Flight!

My pizza was good (the Forager one), though we were on the fence about the necessity of cashew mozz. Kinda blobs of creamy salt, but hey, we ate it! But the fun thing was the flight of housemade ice cream. Lots of places offer vegan ice cream, but not that many are housemade! We picked thai tea, chocolate, and berry cheesecake. They were all good, but the chocolate was superb!

Pros: Vegan pizza!, Careful about cross-contamination risk when GF, Housemade ice cream!

Cons: Bench seating at big tables, Restroom is outside, GF crust is $3 extra

Great find

This is an all-vegan shop selling pizza and ice cream. They have 4-5 pizza options, one of which is sold by the slice. Selection changes daily. Also 6-8 flavors of ice cream sold by the scoop, pints also available.

DELICIOUS pizza

My mom, a meat eater, and I, a vegan, ate here and were both blown away. We initially ordered just one Superfungi, and it was so delicious that we had to order another one. They also have various oils that you may add to your dish in flavors like garlic and spicy peppercorn. Will come back every time I visit Portland!

Ordered the white pizza, superfunghi and Italian meatballs. Yeah, you read that right, they serve vegan Italian meatballs!! Everything was delightful, so glad we came here while visiting Portland.

Pizza & Ice cream heaven!

There were 6 in our group and we all got different pizzas and then shared 2 flights of ice cream. All the pizzas were delicious and the ice cream, for someone who rarely eats dessert, was a special creamy treat. I highly recommend this cozy, friendly place to hook up with friends and eat amazing vegan food.

Pros: All Vegan, Yea!, Really fresh and usual selection of flavors , Some of the best ice cream I've ever had!

Cons: It got crowded and was a little noisy

Definitely my favorite pizza place

I have super funghi pizza at $12 on Tuesday(all day happy hour, $2 off) and this was soooooo good. Just.. so good. If I can visit only three restaurants in Portland again, this will be one of them.👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 must-visit!

By far the best vegan pizza I've had!! Shared the Grandma's pie with my boyfriend and it was AMAZING! Our omni friend was also with us and loved his cauliflower buffalo pizza! The cashew mozzeralla is to DIE for. Definitely going back when I return to Portland

Tasty pizza’s

Lean and professional don’t always translate to good food. Virtuous pie makes it work. I’ve never had a bad pie here. And don’t sleep on the piping hot mac and cheese in iron skillet!

Pros: Consistent , Fast

100% legit

I usually get a couple pies every time I go in. Every menu option is worth trying. Grandmas Pie is my go-to personal favorite. Vegan ranch and parm are amazing perks.

Variety

This is the place to go as a vegan not wanting a veggie pizza. Has lots of nifty flavors, but tends to be a bit busy.

Pros: Tailored to vegan pizzas

Cons: A line, a bit pricey compared to others.

They’re Amazing

Their Benedict pizza has the most AMAZING hollandaise on it and the texture of the whole pizza is so good. The calebraze when they are not having brunch is also a winner and I get it all the time.

Pretty good all plant based pizza and frozen dessert.

We ordered the Superfunghi and Chorizo Artichoke pizzas, plus the Roast Harissa Cauliflower small plate. All three were excellent! Really flavorful toppings, and the crust is delicious. We also ordered 4 different flavors of their plant based ice cream. It was okay, but we found all of them to be lacking in flavor, and not as creamy as other plant based ice creams we've tried. They were similar to ones I've bought at the grocery store, but both Frankie & Jo's in Seattle (all plant based) and the very limited non-dairy options at Salt & Straw, are so much better. I'll be back for pizza though!

Pros: 100% plant based!, Cheerful space with lots of light., Small plates- good option if you don't want pizza

Cons: Mostly one big long table, just a few small table

Good but pricey

Their pizza is great, I do wish they had by the slice though, their pizza has some unusual combinations so I don't always like it but what I've tried is good. Their ice cream is impossibly good & lots of delicious flavors.

Pros: They have unusual flavors

Cons: A bit pricy & no slice options

Vegan amazingly- gourmet pizza

It’s so hard for a vegan to find gourmet pizzas, but Virtuous Pie has delivered up that order in spades! I love it and am so happy it’s a hot happening eatery with a beautiful space, fast food style timing but with top notch quality ingredients and recipes that would make any metropolitan area proud. All th joy of gourmet pizza but none of the hoity toity attitude or pepperoni infused meat-filled atmosphere. What a haven! I need one back home, but my waistline is thankful!

The pizzas are delicious. No item on the menu looks bad. They have classic gourmet pizzas with cheese that makes you eschew the dairy. You don’t need it. The pizzas have ingredients and flavors that make anyone happy. A nice pesto base here, classic tomato base there... amazing recipes!

Really though, the concept is winning my heart and palate because it also has vegan ice cream made in house. A perfect finale- a flight of 3 scoops in a gluten free waffle cone?? Yes, please. It was delicious and doesn’t taste bad in any way- no one would complain and everyone would love it. Marionberry, key lime pie, peanut butter cookie dough, rocky road, cinnamon crunch, ohmigosh- too many food choices!

Go, you’ll be happy... and jolly, because big bellies make for jolly people.

Pros: Vegan all the way, Gluten free crust, Ice cream!!!!

Cons: Gluten free costs $3 more

Good for Gluten Free

I really wanted to love Virtuous Pie like so many others do. However, after my first visit I didn't feel like I needed to return.

The interior is inviting, relaxed, open, and it's nice that you can watch the pizzas being made.

The beer selection was quite limited for how many amazing micro-breweries are in Portland.

I think that if you're strictly vegan and need gluten free crust for allergies, celiacs, or preference - it's a good place to go.

But the overall taste and flavors of the pizzas themselves are lack-luster. The sauce and 'cheese' isn't great and the consistency in how long the pizzas are left to bake seem to be off. It looked like some pizzas were coming out with golden crusts, others a little under baked, and my friend and I got the near-burnt end of the spectrum.

Pros: Great for Gluten-Free., Vegan Pizza is always better than No Pizza. , Good Location.

Cons: Very little flavor. , Inconsistent quality on baked crusts., Needs a better beer selection.

Hits the Spot Every Time

This is, hands down, my favorite pizza spot in Portland. The fact that pizzas are personal size makes it great for someone like me who is picky about toppings and usually feels like I am limiting my partner's choices when we have to share a pizza. I am also gluten-free, and here it is not an issue since there is a gluten-free crust available. The in-house cheeses are delicious and all the pizzas have just the right amount of toppings--not loaded with greasy cheese and a ton of sauce. The atmosphere is pleasant and the wait time for pizzas is reasonable. I like that the kitchen is open so I can see them making my pizza. I ordered ice cream on my first visit and won't be doing that again. It was the worst vegan ice cream I have ever had. The texture is grainy, and it was over the top sweet. So, I will stick to the incredible pizza and get my ice cream elsewhere. On a positive note, they do carry gluten-free/vegan desserts from Petunias. So, it doesn't really matter if I don't like the ice cream.

Pros: Perfect amount of sauce and toppings on pizzas, Most cheeses and crusts made in house, Pizzas are delicious

Cons: Ice cream texture is grainy

Great Hangout and Dine Spot

Pizza, coffee and ice cream. Hella rad. Roomy spot with some outdoor seats. Pizza a bit pricey but definitely worth it if you don't have a huge appetite and/or don't want to over-eat. Workers are sweethearts. Good prices for ice cream. Would def take a date here if I lived in Portland. Must stop for traveling vegans. Everything is so good. Plus stores around the spot are cool too.

Pros: tasty AF, worry-free ordering, they deliver and roomy and co, fresh ingredients

Cons: pizza may be a bit pricey for a 10" if you don't h

Just so so

We ordered the stranger wings and ultraviolet pizzas. The flavors were good but the crust was a bit of a disappointment for me. It was thin and flatbread like.

I also ordered a flight of three ice cream flavors: honeycomb chocolate, peanut butter cookie dough and matcha coconut. To me, the texture is different from real ice cream. Unfortunately my cookie dough ice cream had mint ice cream in it also obviously from someone scooping it before hand and using the same utensil. I hate mint ice cream and it was all I could taste.

Cons: expensive
