Delicious Asian fusion menu del dia - Edit
The menu del dia is fantastic value for $110 with a starter, main dish, dessert and drink. The quality was so good too! I loved how creative and tasty everything was. Definitely recommend.
Read moreEven though they only open at 1pm and we arrived at 1:30pm, the sushi platter had already run out (I think other people just before us got it) - so you must need impeccable timing for that!
My partner ordered a tempeh sandwich combo instead of sushi like he was hoping for. Everything was great except the fries that came with his sandwich which were extremely undercooked and oily. Everything else made up for it though.
It feels like a homely local family restaurant with their young kids playing in the background, and the lady who served us was exceptionally warm and friendly ❤️

Mex-Asian Fusion, beautiful flavors - Edit
I tried the sushi plate as well as the Chile en Nogada, delicious. The flavors in the Chile en Nogada are so unique and clever like, I feel like if I had a vegan grandmother and I ate at her house this will be something she would make, regards to their homemade flavors.

Everything was incredible. Best food hands down on our Oaxaca trip. Possibly in the last 5 years. Nice chill environment, their son played and worked on his studies in the same area, a very nice scene to dine on, while we dined on their incredible fare. Creative fusion of Japanese, Chinese, and Latin backgrounds. We're not done with our trip so we're definitely going back again.

Delicious and innovative food. Staff is very friendly. Loved the food. We had the sushi combo and the chili nogado (a stuffed pepper with walnut sauce). Both dishes were amazing. Dont' miss it.

The sushi was amazing! Such a cool concept to do sushi with all these Mexican ingredients. When you go later in the evening (we went around 17:30) you have to make a reservation before 10:00 if you want the sushi! I don't know if you also have to do this if you go earlier. We saw lots of people coming in and they couldn't have sushi because it was too late.

The vegan sushi is astounding! So many complex flavors and delicate combinations. My only regret is that I can’t experience it for the first time again. ¡Cada bocado es una delicia inesperada! Kudos to the chef(s) I cannot recommend Viriditas enough if you are in Oaxaca. What a gem! They also offer a day special for the same price as any other food in Oaxaca. Everything is delicious.

Wonderful small 100% plant based bistro offering a daily special of soup, main course, desert and tea/fruit-insused water for under US$6. Today was Colombian-inspired combo with a vegetable soup and a plate of salad, rice, beans, lentils, plantain, and a tempura-styled zucchini spear. My partner had the Sushi plate. Inexpensive and pure vegan. Friendly staff too!

Very friendly Asian cuisine place but honestly I always walked half full because wish they had more protein in their dishes (tofu/soy texturate or red beans I don’t know) because for me it wasn’t really filling plus they also have spicy stuff that aren’t marked that are spicy (like menu of the day)

My partner and I came here for an early evening sweet treat and enjoyed the chocolate smoothie — banana, cacao, peanut, cardamon, cinnamon and mint! One of the best smoothies i’ve ever had, was more like a milkshake and the consistency was perfect (slightly on the thicker side)

My top 1 spot in Oaxaca city for food and cuteness!! The place offers daily menu which is always delicious and fresh and fun to discover! It consists with an appetizers, a main, a desert and a drink. They also have the regular menu ranges from sushi, ramen, to sandwiches and deserts! All are yummy!! Photos don’t lie.

I had the daily set lunch menu and was amazed by the quality and the taste of all of their dishes. As starter they offered a variety of well prepared veggies. The main was a comforting miso ramen with a rich broth. For dessert, they truly saved the best for last, as the melon cake was exceptional! I'd always return for more.

Best meal I have had in many years - Edit
My husband and I came upon this place while exploring our neighborhood. For 95 pesos each (about $5 USD) we ordered the daily special meal. It came with water that was flavored with a plant and some lime. Then came the soup course, then the vegetable appetizers followed by the main course and then finished with a pastry dessert. Every course was prepared exquisitely and was delicious.

Wasn’t sure what to rate this. The ramen was terrible - no flavour apart from an overwhelming saltiness. However, we decided to try a dessert (Japanese butter sandwich) and it was absolutely divine. So perhaps we were unlucky with the ramen…..

Okay vegan Asian food in Oaxaca - Edit
We went here for the vegan sushi, but that was not available when we were there. Also the agua fresca was not available, so we had the iced tea but didn’t like the taste of that much.

However the noodles were a bit bland in taste, the bouillon/soup did not taste of much. Also not that much veggies in the soup.

I really loved my experience here. The sushi is like nothing I’ve ever seen before. 9 pieces with each one completely different. The miso was good. The jamaica refreshing. And the dessert was a perfect way to end the meal. I loved looking at the Japanese vegan cookbook that was there too. Wonderful service!
