Good food, nice place - Edit
I was very happy today! Had the seitan kebab. I prefer bigger fries (like steakhouse or even better, self-made) and the Mayo needs a bit more salt and lemon. My friends Mac and cheese where tasty but also needed a bit more salt.

Great vegan restaurant - Edit
This recently opened restaurant ticks all the boxes, friendly staff, nice decor and good food.
Read moreMy friend and I struggled to choose from all the tasty options on the evening menu(they opened for the first time on evenings this weekend) but settled for a well presented Jamaican Curry and mac n Scheese with veg and garlic bread. The highlight for me was the starter of feta bon bons with candied walnuts and cranberry coulis. Absolutely delicious. The, Avocado or Halloumi fries looked good too.
We can't wait to go again.
Well done to the Chef.

Cosy Vegan Cafe with Natural Atmosphere - Edit
Although new and the menu small Viridian has really shown what it could grow into. I had the Avocado 'Hard Boiled' with the Almond Puree centre. I found it to be a really refreshing take on other vegan restaurants attempts at vegan 'eggs'. I find the fad a real bore but on the contrary this vision, which focused on almost 'no frills' wholefoods with great flavours really peaked my interested. I hope they continue to focus on celebrating plants and reject the notion of mimicing animal products. I wish the team all the best and can't wait to see what they bring in the future.

Delicious and Cheap - Edit
I am so happy that there are three fully vegan operations in Bangor now (Voltaire, Vegan house, and now Viridian), and I can easily say this cafe matches the other two in quality and taste.
Read moreThe salted caramel pecan chocolate brownie was brilliant, and the Burger was delicious with crunchy fries. I wouldn't say the Burger was mind-bendingly good like Vegan house, but it was definitely decent, and cheaper than Voltaire. I also tried the avocado fries that were on offer and man I never knew I could like something that much. Crunchy and creamy and great with a fantastic chipotle mayo, and a wonderful little salad. The elderflower juice came in a rather large glass.
The staff was unbelievably nice and helpful, and made adjusting our orders to our specifications easy.
The whole thing managed to feed two people and stay under 15 pounds, and the service was prompt. Can definitely imagine sipping tea and eating cake here regularly. Will come back to try more stuff in the future.
Pros: Incredibly nice staff, Delicious and cheap, Nice Atmosphere
Cons: None, it's great, go there

Little gem with big plans - Edit
"Home from home" describes this place perfectly. The delicious food is cooked with a lot of care and is served in a cozy yet minimalistic space. Locally-sourced, cruelty-free and ethical are key words Viridan showcases in its young Cafe Restaurant and one can see the team isn't afraid to advertise their wish to better themselves.

Pros: Dog friendly during daytime, Jungle vibe, Young team
Cons: Evenings/Cocktail Bar still in the works!
