Looking for a late lunch after landing in Charleston....and we found Vined! Customer service could not have been better, and I enjoyed a burger with yummy grilled peppers and fries! And they boxed up a peach cobbler for my husband to go...such kindness!

Unhealthy vegan food - Edit
Unfortunately their burgers are all beyond burgers. Most of the dishes are fried. The smell of cooked oil welcomes you at the door. Engineered fake meats and deep frying make for a very unhealthy experience.

Why make a comment like this? If you want health food go to a health food spot. Vegan doesn’t have to mean healthy.. many of us do it for the animals and a little guilt food every now and again is great.

Sunday is Soul Food day. I had the mash potato, peas, fried chicken and gravy and my non vegan companion had the red rice, Mac and vings. We finished it off with the upside down pineapple desert. I order of best item #1 red rice, #2 vings, #3 pineapple

We had the vined burger and the red rice, vings and Mac. The vined burger was just ok, you can definitely make a better beyond burger at home. The Mac and red rice were disappointing. The cheese sauce is not very good and has a strange texture. But the vings were on point, that breading was probably the best I ever had. So you can’t go wrong with the vings.

My non vegan, Chicagoan fiance raved about the chili dog. I had the vings, habenro, lemon pepper, and sweet chili flavors with ranch sauce. They were cooked perfectly. Not at all greasy and so delicious. The peach cobbler was really good too. Service with a smile and delicious food.

Wow! Wow! Wow! She lived up to the nearly perfect ratings, y'all! When I tell you to go get you some "vings" (sweet chili and Carolina gold), I mean go now! They are unlike any other vegan wings I have ever had! The breading coated the cauliflower perfectly. It was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside! It was a flavor explosion! The mac-n-cheese was creamy and delicious. Her peach cobbler will make your grandma jealous! I am just sad she is almost three hours away.

A must try. It was so good I forgot to take a picture. My toddler had the corn dogs with sweet potato fries and I had the Not Your Average Dog. I will definitely return to try something different next time in town.

I ordered the vine burger with loaded fries. I also ordered a side of mac. Nothing was good. I can make a better burger at home that's way better. Covering things in peppers does not make it good.

Nachos were good, though the vegan cheese and meat didn't stand out.
April 2022: still delicious. Visiting SC family and took them, we shared the chickn waffles and portobello steak which was really well seasoned.

After reading the reviews and checking out the menu online, I had high hopes and expectations for dinner at Vined. Sadly, we went away very disappointed with the experience. Arriving shortly after 5PM on a Saturday (prime dinner time), we were told that our choices of chickun and waffles and the Life Bowl were both sold out. There was no "I'm sorry, maybe you would like..." or anything, just "we're out of that." We ended up ordering the plate with red rice, mac and cheese and cauliflower vings. What we got was a large scoop of rice, some mac, and three cauliflower vings that was served in a very uninspired way in a take out container and didn't come close to resembling the pictures on the website. The food was marginal at best, and at $18 way over priced. Our other choice was a daily special named "Popfila" which I guess was supposed to be like a chik-fila sandwich made with oyster mushrooms. A great idea that fell far short on execution. The sandwich was really heavy on batter and not much in the way of mushrooms, and served with a splash of sauce and a small, and I mean really small, amount of lettuce and tomato on a plain generic white bun and no sides or anything. Tab for this was $15, again in my opinion and compared to other places we dined in Charleston way overpriced. I admit to being a tough critic. Maybe this was just a bad day. I'm giving three stars as I found the menu to be creative and the restaurant to be clean (which is always a plus for me) but as mentioned the food and presentation at this price point left much to be desired.

We received heavy foot traffic that day and we ran out of some of our popular items. While you dined in, we made sure to check on you as we do with any of our guest, and you advised everything was good. I wish you would've advised of your disliking while at our establishment so that we could take your concerns into consideration. Being a to go restaurant we go above and beyond to ensure that our presentation is done well seeing that we do serve in to go containers. I had the Po boy the vegan shrimp was good (crispy on the outside) and I loved the sauce they used. Got to try the fried cauliflower (also really crispy and light) with the vegan mac and cheese and red rice. It was so good, I forgot to take pictures, but I will definitely be back and will go and get the vings..

The staff are so nice! Lots of fried foods, southern comfort. Somehow they made a carrot into a bomb ass hot dog. Cauliflower chicken is delish, kombucha hits the g spot (it’s the name of a flavor). While I was writing this they brought us a free bonus dish!
