Spend your money at vegan businesses if you don’t want them to go down the sh*tter - Edit
The way vegan business have been dropping like flies recently (you only have to look a few doors down where Vegan Style just closed it’s bricks-and-mortar shop) I am really treasuring the ones that are still around, and feel a responsibility to do what I can to support them. My companion wanted some chocolate and I was thinking about buying some vegan cheese (for a work meeting where they only ever provide crackers and f*cking cow-pus cheese). We grabbed a block of plant-based chocolate from a brand I regret to say is not vegan, so I’ve deleted the name from this review. I went to look for the cheese and saw several fridges full of specialty vegan foods. Unfortunately I came to a fridge with a lot of price labels and empty spaces where the vegan cheeses used to be 😢 I asked if they would be getting in stock again and the sales assistant told me they were’t sure. Looks like another case of the CLC, highlighting even more urgency for us to spend our money at vegan businesses if we want them to be around in a year or two.

Read moreI have found the opening times to be a little flexible so I was pleasantly surprised that it was open on a Sunday. I’m hoping it is open more regularly now.
As I was stopping to get some Nuttea, I didn’t buy anything from the freezer but I’d like to buy the pies and some “fish” and some tofu. I think they have a good selection of these products particularly, not things you’d see in the supermarket. I’ll be back to get some.
I did buy some chocolate (of course) and I was glad to see they had some of the totally vegan by Charlie range there. Nice staff and a clean and bright shop.

Freezers full of vegan delights - Edit
Wow! So many vegan alternatives, and at great prices. Everything we could think of could be found in the freezers, prawns, ribs, salt fish, tuna, salmon, buns, sausages etc.

We bought some tempeh, jerkey, and even vegan Kewpie mayo!
Highly recommend Vincent's Marketplace and wish there was one in every town!

Vegan heaven! A must visit for mock meat eaters. - Edit
Freezer after freezer of any mock meats you can imagine. Duck, chicken, pork, beef, goose, ham, salami, fish, prawns, spam. Several flavours and brands of each. They range from $8 per kg to around $15 per kg, I don't feel like I'm paying vegan tax here.

They also sell dumplings, pies, gyozas, steamed buns, and desserts. Tonnes of vegan dipping sauces, cooking ingredients, noodles, pre-made ready meals, snacks, chocolates, lollies, hot chocolate and coffee beans... The list goes on.
They also serve Nuttea in store with indoor and outdoor seating. Cannot recommend nuttea enough, it's like coffee and dessert all in one!
The service here was outstanding. Absolutely blew me away. The girls working yesterday (9th December) were fantastic, a testament to genuine customer service. They answered any questions we had, made recommendations, but we're also happy to just have a chat with us too.
We were offered a sample of the Nuttea cream before we had ordered, and our coffee was spectacular. We tried the mocha over ice with nut cream - phenomenal. They even came out and gave us some free bottled juices which was so thoughtful!
They have gained a regular customer, and we can't wait to go back and try more of their goodies!
Pros: Loads of mock meat options, Reasonable prices, Superb customer service.

Vincent Footscray's Vegan Sister Store - Edit
This store is much different to Vincents in Footscray, very well presented and everything is vegan!

Can find most of these items in good asian stores around the city but it’s great they have it all in one store in Fitzroy. Excellent options for home cooking.

Awesome Customer Service - Edit
Staff are so welcoming and helpful. There are a range of sweets and chocolates available as well as a large refrigerated section with lots of mock meats and cheeses. They also have a selection of pantry items perfect for asian cooking eg. pastes, sauces and marinades that are almost always not vegan elsewhere.
