Sold out by 9:15

You have to get up pretty early in the morning to get vegan doughnuts apparently. I went on a Saturday morning. They had only 1 flavor available and it was sold out by 9:15am. They suggested calling in an order in advance if you want vegan doughnuts.

Disappointing - needs more options

I stopped in first thing on a Saturday morning, so I came in thinking there would be several options. There was one single vegan option. Fortunately I’m not picky and the flavor sounded good, so I got it. But one?! When there are like 30 non vegan doughnut flavors. 20 min after opening on a weekend… The topping was delicious, but it was the heaviest, breadiest donut I’ve ever eaten. So if you’re looking for a lighter donut and at least a couple vegan options, this isn’t it.

Yummy vegan donuts on the weekends!

Be sure to arrive early, vegan doughnuts are available only on the weekends. They are worth a try even if you aren’t a morning person. I appreciate the vegan options but would love to see more variety as there were just two kinds available when I went. They were really good nonetheless!

Yummy Donuts

Love having this option for vegan donuts! The rotating options keep it fresh and don’t lose any of the indulgence their non-vegan options offer

WOW

This is a trendy, hip donut shop worth the visit. My boyfriend and I split a donut because I in good conscious could not finish that massive thing but it was delicious.

It is not all vegan,, however, they do usually have vegan options. The flavors are always different which keeps it exciting

Pros: Delicious, Exciting flavors, Big portion size (value I guess)

Cons: Unhealthy

Go On Weekends and Call Ahead

I love the VVD is offering vegan options. They typically have a few vegan doughnut options on the weekend, and often other vegan goodies like breakfast pockets (seitan sausage, scrambled tofu, veggies, vegan cheese) or quiche. The pockets are so good, definitely try them if you get a chance. Doughnut options include French toast, lavender blueberry, etc. The main issue is that their offerings are a little unpredictable, but if you call ahead on the weekend they will reserve items for you. Check their Facebook page too, as they often post when and where (Grove or Clayton location) they will have vegan offerings.

Pros: Vegan doughnuts!, Vegan Breakfast Pockets!

Cons: Do not always have vegan options

Yummy doughnuts!

Really great doughnuts - they're BIG and very filling, I could only eat one. My vegan doughnut with maple icing and walnuts was super yummy!
