We’ve been to Amed many times, so it was cool to see a new place pop up on Happy Cow.
Read moreGetting there WAY up the mountain was a mission on the motorbike! Confidence and experience is a must and not for the faint of heart. I couldn’t believe there was a whole Villa way up there!
The place has a VERY cool Bali vibe.
They have a vegetarian menu with clearly labeled vegan items. But it’s a little confusing. For instance, it says the “vegetarian tasting plate” is vegan and contains spring rolls. But the spring rolls on the menu by themselves aren’t labeled vegan. And unfortunately the staff didn’t understand English enough to clarify for us, so we skipped those items.
Of course you can expect long wait times as everting is made fresh and it’s a small staff in a home style kitchen. We were the only ones there and still waiting a long time for food and then again for smoothies.
Now the food…
Creamy scrambled tofu. Good but nothing crazy. Except the amount of tofu. So. Much. Tofu!
Marinated tempeh pesto wraps. Super tasty. Definitely recommend this one. Came with a sauce that looked mayo based. Didn’t take our chances with that one.
Coconut curry. Good, but a little bland.
Sneakers “Smoothie”. Really good. But a smoothie bowl. Not a drink. (Didn’t know this until we got it.)
Sunrise smoothie (bowl). Also good. And a bowl. Not a drink.
Bottom line…maybe not worth going too far out of your way for this one.

Not worth it especially as they call themselves vegan on google maps - Edit
They call themselves a vegan restaurant on google maps, so I was super annoyed to get there and find out they serve all manner of animals here.
Read moreIt was very difficult getting here as the road is steep and gravelly (slippery), and we couldn't relax as we wanted to get going before it got too dark (we stayed for sunset which was beautiful, but I saw more beautiful sunsets elsewhere).
The bamboo architecture was beautiful and the food was good especially the creamy tofu scramble and the springrolls which came with a delicious salad (cabbage, peanuts, cucumber).
The mie goreng was made with vermicelli noodles which was unusual but still very good.

Vegan Food Galore - Edit
This amazing place offers a wide variety of vegan options for breakfast, lunch & dinner. Vegan desserts too. They also have free pick up from within Amed. We went on our bike for breakfast but got picked up for dinner so we could enjoy few cocktails. The view is bloody amazing!! 10/10 for everything - food, staff, cleanliness & view. Cash only.

Amazing vegan food & hotel - Edit
There are many vegan options, the food is incredible and we visited the villas they have onsite. They are so beautiful. We had the waffles & scrambled tofu with iced caramel coffee & a juice. One of the best places I had breakfast in Bali honestly

Breakfast bowl, fruit plater, avocado toast, fresh juce from cold press juicer, smoothies, raw fruit ice cream, ocal dishes like gado-gado (steamed vegetables with homemade peanut sauce), fried rice, veggie tortila, coconut curry, tempeh, tofu and many more!
