Lovely place, great food, but ... live jazz music! - Edit
So we checked this new place out on a Sunday evening, it was empty, the Jazz musicians were leaving which was a blessing cos with my punk deafened ears I can't hear people talking across a table if there is loudish music playing. We were told that the place was and is usually busy when there are bands playing.
Read moreThe interior is smart and pleasant with some seriously comfy chairs upstairs. The service was great though it got less attentive when the day staff left.
The food was delicious and came in decent portions for normal people (not me) and its not as expensive as the swanky atmosphere suggested. I'd recommend the mushroom pasta and the Meal of the day. The cheesecake was sublime and the apple pie gorgeous. I was hoping for a cream or custard option to go with it but there was absolutely no need.
It's in a bit of an off the map area and is tucked behind number 68 which is a small tower block. The front is rather anonymous but there's nothing else looking like a restaurant nearby!
They do offer animal abuse milk for coffee, DUH! but everything else is vegan.
Recommended!
Called in again for a Sunday breakfast as Vikasha are one of the earliest vegan friendly spaces to open, and on a Sunday! I had the Serbian dough with dips which was pretty good and my partner had the scrambled eggs that she enjoyed. Our glasses of water were warm which was a shame but we do like this place.

Disappointing experience - Edit
Ghastly food. I had asked the server to recommend a Serbian dish for me and was offered Cevapi. What came was some bland (millet?) patties drenched in old tasting oil that had started to break up in the pan and absorb even more oil, with soggy over fried potatoes that tasted burnt and bitter. The salad was bizarre too - covered in sharp vinegar and sesame oil.
Read moreWas looking forward to this place and was starving hungry on arrival but left feeling ill after only two bites. Was difficult to get the server's attention to get the bill also and explain the issue with the food. Paid up and left.
I would try elsewhere, the Balkans are difficult for vegans but this place is not worth the time, money (pricey for Belgrade) or effort.

Amazing local cuisine and jazz - Edit
Really good veganized traditional Serbian food. All the dishes we tried were amazing and the atmosphere was great.

Kindness and great food - Edit
On a rainy day, we were warmly greeted by a delightful hostess who was incredibly attentive to our needs. Despite our curiosity about various menu options, she graciously assisted us in making our selections. What truly impressed us was the extraordinary level of care shown when we requested a soy milk cappuccino, only to find that only almond milk was available. After a brief delay, we learned that someone from the kitchen had gone out to purchase soy milk because almond milk didn't quite match the quality of a soy cappuccino. To our surprise, we were treated to a complimentary cheesecake while we waited. We were deeply touched by the genuine hospitality and generosity extended to us, which made our dining experience truly memorable. The food was exquisite, and we wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking an exceptional culinary journey.

Finally lively vegan place - Edit
New restaurant in town. It is so cozy and nice with a live music. Food is nice, they often have promotions. I am so happy to find a place that serves vegan food but it has music, and look like traditional bar/restaurant.
