Not even vegetarian - Edit
There’s nothing vegan there, everything has meat or eggs in it.

Friendly but not too tasty - Edit
Very friendly waitress, interesting vibe in the restaurant but rather underwhelming food.
Read moreWe ordered one of each vegan item: salad with grilled spring rolls, two fresh spring rolls and a banh mi without mayonnaise plus fried.
The salad featured too little salad for my liking, albeit the pickled veggies and herbs were great. The accompanying spring rolls were rather underwhelming. The fresh rolls had many noodles, boring standard salad and some tofu but overall it tested meh, same for the sauce that accompanied it.
The sandwich had the waitress confused. She understood that mayo was not vegan but what should they take instead? A lot of hot sauce would be too spicy for us, the miso sauce might not be vegan (she didn't know and didn't ask the cook...) and just soy sauce would not work...
In the end they did a bit of hot sauce and soy sauce and brought us some ketchup just in case. The banh mi had great bread and was edible but the tofu lacked flavour beyond "greasy".
The fries were ok but should have seen more (or any really) salt.
I'm a bit lost why the "which sauce with the banh mi" is still a thing. How few vegans do they get per year? Also vegan mayonnaise from kewpie is around since at least 11 years and has lately been re-branded and pushed into most mainstream stores. Also the next super market featured two vagen mayos. Would be great for future customers if they stocked up on vegan mayo.
As it is this place seemed lovely but not to our taste so we won't be back.

Chemicals/ MSG/ both feeled sick after - Edit
Will not return. Chemical laden food. Bad reaction from excessive msg. Heavy hand sugar in all sauces also.

Delicious Vegan Options - Edit
After finding out that the vegan places in the area were closed for the day, we decided to check out VietnamChan for lunch.
Read moreThe staff was very friendly and carefully explained the veg options on the menu, and we ended up ordering the Vietnamese salad noodle with deep fried spring rolls and tofu banh mi (ask for no mayo) with fries.
Both were really delicious, full of incredible flavor! The banh mi was perfectly seasoned, beyond my expectations! And the salad was fresh, flavorful and really satisfying! Highly recommend!!

Good place - Edit
The two options are vegetable bahn mi (tell that you're vegan so they omit the mayo) and spring rolls. The staff actually speaks English (not sure to what extent, we spoke in Japanese, but there were two English speaking groups ordering in English).
Read moreThe sandwich was pretty yummy, with tofu, but not spicy at all - there's sweet and sour sauce at the table and black pepper,so that was nice since there was no sauce in the sandwich itself
Pros: Good bahn mi , Fast preparation
Cons: Just two vegan options
