Maybe I'm taking too long to write this review, as I see that the place is temporarily closed. I came at the end of January, and I went back. Vieta was like a little corner alien to all norms, and at the same time, a very social place. Together with Mint Vinetu, they formed an experimental and countercultural tandem. This small restaurant makes me think a lot of one in my city (B12, in Girona, Catalonia). The menu changes every day, everything is organic, cooked with fresh food and by the chefs themselves, every day, and with both traditional dishes and some more groundbreaking ones, they don't opt for a long menu, but three or four dishes that change every day. They have local art hanging on the walls and a blackboard where you remember the days that Ukraine has been invaded, and consequently, at war. I also take with me a very good memory of the service, a waitress who knew how to recommend the perfect dish for you, with a smile from ear to ear, thank you Agnes < 3
Very sweet sweets. When you open again I will try to spend a moment there.
Pros: Service, Food, Ethics / Politics

A vegan punk restaurant - Edit
A small place with a punk bar vibe, but they do take food seriously! There are options for both those who like meat alternatives (such as beyond meat) and those who prefer less processed food.

Amazing experince - Edit
We visited here for our last day’s lunch in Vilnius, and were so positively surprised! Found it confusing that they didn’t have the menu online, but decided to go anyway since we were close by. We chose to try the ”tofu steak”, it came with a side salad and mashed potatoes. So simple but so delicious and fresh! The desserts were also goood, especially the chocolate pistachio ball, so creamy 🙏🏻💚 would definitely come back to Vilnius just for this place alone! The atmosphere was nice and chill 👌🏼

Much food for a low price! - Edit
It's a simple place, but it has cheap food, which tastes good. My partner had a vegetable-lentil stew as a starter, and then a moroccan stew as main dish. I had the Shepherd's pie as main dish, which was served with a fresh and colourful side salad topped with seeds. For desert we shared a vegan Napoleonas. Everything was nicely decorated and served!

Ein wirklich wundervoller Ort in Vilnius! - Edit

Very cozy and tasty small place. The menu is a bit small but everything is made on the spot. I had the filled mushrooms and they were great. The place is really home and the food is warm.

Cozy café but not fully vegan - Edit
I found Vieta a cozy café/restaurant with quite tasty food. Nonetheless, I noticed they at least had non-vegan drinks (according to Barnivore) like Kahlua and Vana Tallinn so this is not a 100% vegan place.

Love it! - Edit
Small café in the city center, it gets busy very quickly. The menu changes everyday, it's fresh and delicious. The staff is extremely friendly and everyone helps. The girl behind the counter is very nice and extremely well organized, she kept the cool and a nice smile even when the place was full.

Great vegan cafe - Edit
We visited Vieta in September 2025 and enjoyed it so much we went back for a second time. First thing to say is that the server who looked after us both times was really friendly and helpful and she did a good job of looking after us and other customers in spite of being on her own out front.
Read moreThere was a lot to choose from on both the menu and the specials board. Between us we tried the Beyond Meat 'Steak (which was a burger served like a steak rather than in a bun), the baked tofu steak, the cheese and kimchi panini, the baked baby potatoes with oyster mushrooms and the cold beetroot soup (which was served with potatoes on the side). We really enjoyed everything we tried, and it all tasted really fresh, but the baked tofu steak and the Beyond Meat dish were particularly good. It was also great to try the soup as it seems to be a popular local dish. We took away a piece of traditional style 'lazy cake' and that was really nice too.
We really enjoyed our experiences here - definitely worth a visit if you're in Vilnius.

Honestly, if you were designing a vegan Cafe from scratch you should just throw your designs away and copy this place because it's pretty much perfect.

Variety of plates, above expectations - Edit
We almost didn't go there because main photos in Happy Cow app were showing burgers, but they do have a huge menu to select from, very different cooked and baked goods. We had the best experience here among the 3 vegan restaurants we visited in Vilnius. Other 2 was good, but this was genius. Big plates, heapes of veggies beside the satisfying portion of main dishes, everything just very very tasty. Totally recommend.

An excellent lunch salad - Edit
I visited the place on a Monday afternoon, so I guess I didn't get to experience their dinner menu, and I chose a salad from the lunch list. It was excellent, with a right balance between all the ingredients and not soaked with balsamic. I kind of would have liked a source of protein in the salad (besides some seeds), but for 8 euros I certainly cannot complain.

Limited lunch menu - Edit
I was really excited to try the oyster mushroom dish and a sandwich from this place, but when we went for lunch you could only choose between 2 soups, 2 mains, and some hummus. The beetroot soup and vegan mozzarella salad that I had were good, but I never would have chosen them otherwise. I wish the restaurant would advertise their more limited menu so that customers can choose to visit at the appropriate time

Lovely place where I enjoyed very much to spend my time. I had a cold beetroot soup and a salad. Everything was delicious and cozy. Loved the spot at the window, loved the vinyls, the staff’s kindness and calm, and the support to Ukraine. I wish a place like this could also be in the town where I live!
