Quirky 80's Throw Back - Edit
I have been to Video Video a few weeks ago and I am still not able to fully grasp my dining experience there.
As mentioned before, this very small shop is filled with iconic furniture, decoration and games consoles from the 80's and 90's. Finding a place to sit can be difficult, especially during the Saturday afteroon that I decided to eat there. On the day that I visited Video Video the Wi-Fi didn't work and I had to pay by mobilepay because their card terminal was out of order. I don't know if that is occuring regularly or if it was just me that was unlucky.
I ordered a burger called "Super Mario Brothers" with spinach pesto, mayonnaise, cheese, spinach leaves, cucumber, marinated red onions an dried tometoes. As others mentioned before, you are forced to eat Video Video burgers with cutlery sometimes, because they are assembled in a more aesthetical than practical manner. Personally, I would never use anything else besides my hands to eat a burger, but I gave a try, as taste is what I pay the most attention to.
The burger patty has a very nice consistency, I think it's soy and bean based and it was indeed delicious. The buns that they use have a decent quality as well, not those regular white fast food sesame buns that are more sugar than grain. I have the feeling that the toppings were spiced on point and prepared with a lot of thought and creativity. However, I was overwhelmed by the amount of toppings that they use at Video Video. Using spinach pesto, mayonnaise and cheese plus mainly oil-marinated veggies was simply too much of everything (especially fatty condiments) for my taste. Maybe that it is how it used to be in the 80's? Or I didn't understand the dish... If you like your burgers overloaded, Video Video is probably the place to go.
I chose hot chocolate with whipped cream as a dessert and I was not disappionted. The whipped cream didn't have this artificial taste that some vegan creams have and they used a good amount of cocoa powder for a rich chocolaty taste.
Video Video is definitely a quirky place and so is the food served there; or at least their burgers, as I have not tried one of their salads or sandwiches. I would eat there again to get some clarity about what to think about this place.
Pros: unconventional, love for details
Cons: tiny, toilet is hidden behind the bar shelves, limited seating possibilities

Compact retro eatery worth a visit - Edit
This place is small, but we were lucky to grab the last remaining cinema-style seats at the back. There's quite a lot of choice on the menu so it was a bit tricky to pick, but the staff were chilled out and helped advise me when I ordered at the bar. I "created" my own sandwich from the power-up filling options available, and it took a while to come but tasted nice and fresh when it did, and didn't work out too expensive. We finished our meal with a couple of shakes, which were a highlight topped with vegan whipped cream. The nostalgia theme works well and added a lot to the dining experience. I'd say check this place out if you're in the area and you can find a seat!

mixed feelings - Edit
Video Video is a small cafe in Christianshavn in central Copenhagen. The place has an atypical but pretty nice vibe, it looks like the interior is half-finished, there are old VHS tapes all over the place and some old consoles which you can play. The space is very limited, but there so much of everything and I see that as an area of improvement - that also applies to the food. There was a mountain of dirty dishes in the sink and it did not seem too clean in general, but I'll let that slip.
I ordered a Lucky Luke burger and a cocoa drink. The patty was fantastic, but the burger was filled with so many different things that it almost seemed a bit schizophrenic. Everything was good and fresh, but didn't really fit each other. The pickles, pickled beetroots and pickled onion were really sweet, then a tiny bit of remoulade (I couldn't really find it) and everything was drowned in ketchup, and topped with loads of gravy - that's really too much of everything, it was hard to enjoy the taste. Plus, I get that burgers are a 'messy' food, but it was really difficult to eat it with all the toppings. To sum up, it was a bit weird and too much of everything, but overall it tasted good. I think I'll visit again at some point, especially that someone pointed out that it depends on who is behind the bar :-)
Pros: burger patty, fantastic cocoa drink, everything is vegan
Cons: seemed a bit dirty, too much of everything, very little space

SaraDK 19 Feb 2017 - Hi, I have been to Videovideo and seen the Lucky Luke burger, and I totally understand why it seems messy to a none-Dane. It is actually a vegan version of a danish "Bøf(beef)-sandwich": https://da.wikipedia.org/wiki/B%C3%B8fsandwich - I hope this makes it a bit more clear why it seemed weird :)

Cosy Cafe - Edit
Really small place but good food. Takes a while for food to arrive but we got a table next to the Nintendo NES and played Bubble Bobble on 2 player while we waited. Also have a pinball and arcade machine to pass the time. Had a tasty burger and a filling potato salad. Nice staff.

Back to the 80's! - Edit
What a delicious place to be! Fun design with movie posters and video arcade games from the hillarous 1980s. Tasty food. My wife had the Speedy Gonzales Burger, which was goid spiced. I was also very satisfied with my dish and the dips were perfect. Lovely estragon dip and fresh aeioli dip. I have not been there for the last time. 😊

cool place - Edit
This place has a cool atmosphere and a fast food menu with foods like burgers and wraps, as well as an extensive cocktail menu. I had a burger with a veggie patty. The patty itself wasn't that exciting, but the bread, the veggies and the condiments made it quite tasty. I would come back to this place and try more things on their menu, like the mocktails, the smørrebrød and the 'build-your-own' brunch plate.

very nice and cheap food - Edit
Video video has very nice American style vegan food. The names of the dishes are very funny. I had the Family Guy Burger there, which is a classic burger vegan style. Loved the atmosphere here!

Don't miss this spot! - Edit
Nostalgia paradise for those of us born in the 80s. Cafe started by 3 or 4 friends, without a massive bank investment. It's a nice diy-spirited place to support.
I love this place - the thought put into the interior and the small details. Often nice obscure 80s music played. Board games, and VHS played in the background.
I like to come for drinks (unfortunately not as strong as I like them for the price) on a weekend, and then get their french hot dogs and toasts, which are both great and cheap.
Unfortunately the food is hit and miss - depending on who's behind the bar. I take my chances though.
Pros: All vegan & organic, Great food - most of the time, Free video games & laid back vibe
Cons: Not consistent quality of food, On busy nights, you might not get a table, but can

Fantastisk god mad - Edit
Stort udvalg - alt vegansk - fra højt belagt smørrebrød til burgere. God stemning - god musik og flinkt personale. Men især maden var i topklasse.

great burger and service - Edit
went here with few friends and found seat which are limited inside and few outside, for 10 some people total. we ate burger which were fulfilling and tasted great, only I would prefer some else sidedish over tortilla chips! they sell good variety of soft drinks to enjoy with meal. next time would try some of their panini for change and I find vegan paninis very rarely!
Pros: good variety of options, a lot different soft drinks, nice people ( :
Cons: limited seat, tortilla chips as side dish (not for me)

Great cafe - Edit
I go here quite a lot and so thought I'd throw a review up.
Video video is an all vegan cafe. The offer a typical cafe menu, sandwiches, burgers and such. They also have different cakes or desserts each day. Everything is very reasonably priced.
I have tried the burgers, some of the sandwiches and the danish smørrebrod sandwiches as well as the brunch plate. The food is good, tasty and there are good portion sizes. It's not a fancy place, it's just a really down to earth, casual place to meet up with friends and have something nice to eat.
The cafe itself is not large, so if you have a larger group (more than 4) you might want to go during a non-busy time or call ahead or something.
The people who run the cafe are really nice and friendly and there is an overall fun atmosphere. They also serve great alchoholic beverages.
Pros: All vegan, Casual and fun, Inexpensive
Cons: Small

Cool Niche but... - Edit
I wish I could give this place a good review but I can't.
The staff were friendly and helped by translating the menu for us (there's no English menu). The menu was very fun, too, with sandwiches named after Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and other fun stuff like that.
The whole theme of the place was really cool with board games, arcade machines and old movie posters. It has an incredibly cool niche and a lot of potential but...
The food! How could could such an adorable place mess up so badly with the food? I ordered a tofu sandwich and the bread was so hard it was barely edible. Giving them the benefit of the doubt, I made the mistake of ordering two desserts. A less than average tasting brownie and a completely inedible 'health bar' thing that had fruit in but tasted similar to the hard bread from the sandwich.
This place needs to improve their menu because they have a lot of potential.
Pros: cool atmosphere, nice niche
Cons: the food was really bad

Down to Earth and Delicous - Edit
Very friendly staff! Nice, CHEAP vegan food. There is unfortunately not a lot of different options in the menu and the restaurant is very small, so one have to be very lucky to get a seat. However it is possible to have it to-go :) I will visit again soon!
Pros: delicious food, friendly staff, cheap prices
Cons: small selection in the menu, a small seating area

Great 80's decor, great food, great service - Edit
Went to Video Video for a late lunch. It was full as there are only 5 tables, so had to come back later, but it was well worth it! (Didn't realise until later, but take-away is an option too). The menu is 100% vegan and consists of breakfasts, sandwiches and open sandwiches, paninis and burgers. It's cheap by Danish standards with a large burger costing 55 DKK, plus an extra 15 for beetroot and parsnip chips as a side. It's possible to customise orders, for example, by choosing panini fillings - I had tomato, hummus and spinach, which was filling, fresh and had a lot of flavour. The bread is amazing. There's also a good choice of hot, cold and alcoholic drinks, including a cocktail menu. The staff are really friendly and whilst the menu is in Danish only, the servers speak good English. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, complete with video games, pinball, VHS tapes and retro radios. I'd definitely return!
Pros: fully vegan, cheap (for Denmark), friendly staff and good atmosphere
Cons: small (only 5 tables)

Nostalgia galore - Edit
So happy this place has opened up in Copenhagen: TMNT on the tele, Non-Phixion on the speakers, and Ghosts 'n Goblins on the arcade machine. What more could you want?
And the food was splendid. For all the tourists: you must try the veganized traditional Danish open face sandwiches (rye bread with topping and all the fixin's). It does not get much more authentic than this. Delicious and cheap to boot.
Great and honest food in a world of fake meats.

Nice - Edit
Had a nice eggless tofu sandwich which was presented beautifully. Sandwich was quite filling. It uses some whole wheat seeded bread. They however have gluten free options. They have some peanuts in a glass on each table for customers to snack on. I got to use a 15%discount voucher I got from International Vegan Day.
Just recently opened. It is a small area with seating inside for about 20 people and outside for about 6 people. Cafe makes quick meals like Sandwiches and Burgers. They also have cookies and cake.
Metal or rock music played.
Pros: Vegan
Cons: Small
