Delicious food - Edit
My partner and I both got the bbq chick’n sandwich which came topped with an onion ring, red onions, pickles, bbq sauce, and lettuce. We got fries on the side and paid an extra dollar to upgrade them to the garlic cheese fries (melted v cheese on the fries topped with garlic aïoli sauce; worth it). We also got hazy IPAs, and the worker said that all of the alcohol served there is vegan too. Everything was awesome. The portions were very large though, and we were both stuffed. We also got a cinnamon roll to go to split the next day for breakfast, and it was delicious too. Vida also has fresh juice that is bottled to-go. Their is currently catering, take away, and outdoor seating options. Highly recommend if you are in the area.

I wouldn’t suggest. - Edit
We ordered a to go meal since dine in option was not available. It was extremely hot ion the patio. We are staying in a hotel so I asked for plastic ware. They fixed my salad to go and I was only given spoons. They didn’t have forks. She suggested I use two knives to eat my salad. In addition it took over 30 minutes for our meal.

Amazing food! Amazing food, such a blessing to have a great vegan spot in the Central Valley. Although it’s a little far drive for myself, I’ll make visits just to spoil myself! If you’re in the Bakersfield area, you must try it.

Phenomenal find - Edit
I visited Vida Vegan for a takeout dinner on a weekend drive up from Los Angeles, and I guarantee this won’t be my last visit. The food was amazing! There are a lot of vegan restaurants near my home, but this really beats them all. My hubs and I both had one of the house made chicken sandwiches. He had a side of plantains and I got the side salad with vegan ranch. We also split an order of the chili cheese fries and took a ginormous pecan roll for later. Everything was perfectly fresh. The chili was probably the best vegan chili I have ever had. Long story short, I will definitely be back!
Read moreI can’t comment much on the atmosphere at the moment, since the indoor seating has been removed due to COVID, but there is some patio seating. The restaurant (including restrooms) is spotlessly clean, and everyone working there was pleasant and helpful. A strong 5 stars from me.
Pros: Delicious food, Tons of vegan options, Great service

First, everyone was extremely nice and warm. The coffee, beers, and Bloody Mary were spectacular. It is rare to find alcohol at a vegan restaurant so this made brunch even better. The chicken and waffles were excellent.

Best I5/Hwy99 Vegan Option! - Edit
Needing to go from LA to Fresno earlier this week, I knew there were limited food options along Hwy 99. Thanks to Happy Cow I found a new (to me) option, Vida Vegan. WELL WORTH THE TIME AND DISTANCE FROM THE FREEWAY. I stopped for lunch on Monday while traveling North, and altered my return schedule the next day to stop for dinner. I had the BBQ sandwich with garlic fries on Monday, and the Orange Chow Mein on Tuesday. I had their fresh cold press juices both times, and a donut to go. Everything was excellent.

Vida Vegan was a great dinning spot while visiting Bakersfield. It had a great hangout atmosphere and delicious food and drink options. The horchata is the best vegan horchata I have tasted thus far. I highly recommend giving Vida Vegan a try!

I could tell this place was gonna be good the moment I walked in. Very clean and welcoming atmosphere. It’s fast casual style, order your food and seat yourself. I thought the price points on the menu were great. I got an appetizer, entree, and glass of wine for $17! The food was amazing, even my non vegan mom thought so. Will definitely be coming back when we pass through Bako from now on.

I first tried Vida a few months ago and I was blown away to had stumbled upon such a delicious little gem! I seriously think about the horchata weekly. It’s a shame I live so far away but when I’m back home visiting, this will absolutely be a staple! The street corn is amazing, as well as the beer battered tacos and chick’n sandwich! 🖤

Amazing - Edit
This is the fourth time I’ve been to Vida and I can’t wait to go back. After finally finding, and drinking a delicious vegan michelada, I had the chili cheeze fries as a starter...and I’m not lying when I say..the best chili I’ve ever had! I followed with a farmers market purepa which is ALWAYS delicious, and tried the fry bread taco, crispy and spicy and so yummy. For dessert we had the lemon tart which made my jaws tingle and I’m sure everyone was annoyed with me saying “mmmm” after every bite. Everything was 10/10. The owner is such a nice guy, and he loves his job. Well done Vida.
