We have been to Vida Vegan twice and both times were a hit! If you are in the area, you should definitely make the time to eat here. The bakery items and drink menu are also very impressive. Can’t wait to come back!

Great spot for casual vegan meal. Had the Baja Bowl, it features the best non meat “Barbacoa beef” I’ve had anywhere, highly recommend! Nice vibe and friendly employees.

I make a point of stopping here in my travels. I’ve been stopping here since it opened and it just keeps getting better. I love the ceviche and get it every time. I also have to leave with at least one cookie. The selection is great with many options including a kids menu. The owner is so nice and the staff is always kind and helpful. The decor is clean and inviting. I also always buy some merch. I love having a shirt that says vegan and Bakersfield all together. Now that is progress. So beautiful. A million tons of thanks

Worth the stop in Bakersfield - Edit
This place was great! My boyfriend and I stopped in Bakersfield to break up a long drive, but also because we saw this place on Happy Cow and wanted to try it. The food did not disappoint and the staff was incredibly accommodating and friendly. The atmosphere of the restaurant was great too—inside and out. We chose to sit outside on the patio because there were heaters (and I liked the string light decor 🙃). We ordered the Thai Chick’n Sandwich, Gorilla Burger, and they came with a side each so we chose fries and onion rings. My bf ordered the Sangria as well. Would 100% eat here again! I wish it was located in San Diego 🙏🏻

This restaurant was such a good find! We had the fry bread tacos, monster fries, and Peruvian Lomo. Everything was absolutely delicious and unique. It was great to experience vegan renditions of South American, Central American, and Indigenous American cuisine. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere was pleasant and welcoming. Will definitely be returning here in my next trip to Bakersfield

Food was decent, desserts were very good but the cashier had no knowledge of the food and had a really bad attitude. When asked questions about the food she’d say that the menu was right there. Was very impatient and we felt like we had to hurry up and order.

We've eaten here a few times when passing through Bakersfield. The food is good, but not great. Lots of mock meat. We prefer more vegetable-centric dishes. The baked goods are very good. Nice seating options.

From the soft brioche bun to the breaded seitan chicken patty, I loved everything about the Thai Chicken Sandwich. Sweet potatoes tots were generously portioned with my breakfast burrito—found only on the weekend brunch menu.

Stopped here on the way back to Ventura from Sequoia yesterday. We were really excited to try the food after reviewing the extensive menu. My mom had the BBQ chick'n sandwich. Kids had cheeseburger and orange chick'n kids meals. Husband had an ABLT sandwich and a pineapple colada smoothie. I had the Peruvian Lomo. I had heard about lomo saltado before, but never tried it since I am vegan and the traditional dish is made with beef. Wow! It was just amazing. So tasty. They have a large case of desserts which we did not get a chance to try. The strawberry shortcake looked delicious. They also have donuts and cupcakes. All the portions were very large. More than we could eat. Sadly, we could not take our leftovers since we were not close to home. We will definitely return when we are in Bakersfield again. My only wish is that they would open up a location in Ventura County! :-)

Unexpected find in bakersfield. Good variety of menu options. Really enjoyed my Chickn Burger and the caesar salad. My toddler enjoyed the country potatoes and seitan as well. Oh and they have everything a sweet tooth enjoys too. Outside covered patio is cozy even though its close to the road

We were driving from Moab back to the Bay Area and found ourselves in Bakersfield around dinner time. I found this place on Happy Cow, and I’m so glad we stopped! It is a must stop now every time we drive through Bakersfield now! The staff were super helpful and welcoming! Their menu is diverse and pretty big... They brew and bottle their own Kombucha and they also had a variety of desserts- all made in house! I got the Orange Chicken, which was soy, I think, and it was really good! I also got a mint chocolate doughnut, and pomegranate kombucha! All delicious! Can’t want to go again and try another item!
