Good food, good value

The meal of the day here is currently 5 soles (approx US$1.45). The meal I had today was simple but had very good flavor. They gave me a tiny salad with a couple of slices of cucumber along with some avocado. Then a bowl of potato soup. Then the main plate that had white rice and a tasty mixture of veggies and a little bit of mock meat. The meal apparently also comes with a beverage but he never brought it to the table and I didn't ask for it. This is the first veggie place I've been to in town. I hope the others are this good. Vegetarian food is usually quite simple in Peru but this place surprised me.
