Everthing Bagel

There weren't many savory options when we stopped by midday. Staff brought out a couple of everything veggie bagel sandwiches for us when we asked about vegan options. They were straight out of the fridge so the bread was hard and cold, but the veggies were fresh and nourishing and overall provided enough sustenance to finish touring the gardens. Decent coffee.

Quick bite

My partner and I both got the mushroom-LT sandwiches and a cold can of drink which was perfect after a big walk around. They had a serve yourself section in the middle that had vegan options but it wasnt very well labelled and we didnt feel safe enough to grab something and trust it to be vegan. We sat outside which was really nice but we did get attacked by geese lol

Some options

Went to one of the Kew restaurants. They had vegan options. I chose arancini. It was one large ball. Initially ok but then what was to me a very unpleasant vegan cheese. (Menu didn’t mention cheese & there are some good vegan mozzarellas.) Couldn’t finish it. Chips were nice. My friend who is veggie had macaroni cheese. She couldn’t eat it as it was cold.

A walk in the park

All restaurants and cafés in the Gardens have some vegan items, which is nice. It's limited, though. Lunch options are okay, but pastries or ice cream was not available.
