Family owned business. Lots of local and close-to-local seasonal produce, plus some vegan (and vegan gluten-free) dry goods and freezer items.
Closed Sun.
I have been shopping here for many years and I will go out of my way to get here. Even in winter, they manage to obtain the freshest fruits and vegetables available anywhere. In summer and fall almost everything is local, except the tropical fruits of course. They are a family owned business, with friendly staff. They also have frozen products including vegan brands such as Gardein and Sol. And they carry cheeses and vegan cheese too, and dairy as well as non-dairy milk. Also rice and pasta, good quality brands. And vegan ice cream too, so it's almost a one stop grocery shop for me.
Vic's is a pleasant, upscale fruit market with lots of locally grown (and prairie-grown... and Canadian grown) fruit and veggies. You can also find a selection of specialty canned and dry goods here that are vegan, like imported canned bean varieties and gluten-free vegan pastas. The quality of the produce is very high; of course, prices reflect that. The staff are friendly and pleasant. Be advised that customers seem to run towards the snobby and entitled (I've seen/ heard more than a few complain loudly and unpleasantly to the cashiers that the store had run out of something they'd gone in to buy, though the shelves are always very well stocked), but that's not the store's fault.

Everything’s Wrapped - Edit
Lots of vegan products. Great fresh produce. But they wrap all their produce in plastic wrap. It’s a bit too much.
