Vegan haven in Gambia - Edit
I learned the hard way (did not do enough research!) that traditional Gambian food that can be vegan can also be non-vegan! Akara (bean fritters) can have egg; Olele (steamed pudding) can have seafood; baobab juice ("baobab drink") can have milk.
Read moreSo I was more than thrilled to find Vibrations, a 100% plant-based restaurant. Friendly, welcoming, spacious, and clean. The food was freshly prepared and delicious. Service was efficient and thoughtful, even making sure to confirm whether I have any food allergies.
I can personally recommend the pesto pasta and avocado salad bowl, zucchini fries, zesty lemon cake, and baobab and pineapple juice. But I'm willing to bet that everything on the menu is equally wonderful. I wish I had discovered this place sooner!

This place is owned by a husband & wife team from the UK. Great food, great taste & great presentation. I went there twice as they have a selective daily menu so every day is different. They zucchini fries are to live for. 🫠

Best Vegan spot in the Gambia. The food is fresh and flavourful. Lots of variety. The salad bowls were my particular favourite and the sea moss drinks were delicious.
