Decent - Edit
We stayed at via via and our room was very big, clean and comfortable. The restaurant offers an excellent fruit bowl in the morning, and on the menu is also a veggie stir fry which my friend tried, and a vegan sandwich. We signed up for the volcano boarding, which was terrifying and not really for me.. but they did serve a sandwich on the tour that I was able to modify. They also offer other tours and a shuttle to the beach. Everyone was very nice and accommodating.

Delicious and Fun! - Edit
We stayed here in their hostel and were so happy with how vibrant the atmosphere was (while still not being loud enough to disturb us in the room at night). I got the rice with vegetables and although it sounds basic, it was super good! Definitely worth trying. Oh and their booze are on POINT. Get the mega… They also had a stand for signing up to do volcano boarding; only $35 per person and you get a tshirt and lunch! Super exciting and exhilarating but scary! Only for the adrenaline junkie vegans

Limited vegan options are delicious - Edit
I was totally surprised by the veggie fried rice. I expected a bland dish with little flavor, but instead it was a curry-type fried rice with lots of veggies and a bit of a kick. I polished off the generous portion quickly! If you drink alcohol, try the macuá! Highly recommend this friendly spot.

expected more, disappointed - Edit
I thought there would be more vegetarian options and among those a little more vegan options. It wasn't the case. I ordered the baleada hondureña, consisting of salad, rice, fries and tortillas filled with beans, tomatoes and onions. It was better than expected! Even though I wasn't wowed, after traveling a while throughout Central America I had that kind of food quite often.
Read moreI even spent a night in the hostel. You get an included breakfast with your stay, which is nice, but no vegan option. I asked if it would be possible to get toast with banana instead of pancakes with banana, that was impossible... The only option would have been gallo pinto without the eggs, but I didn't want to start my day with rice and beans. I ended up ordering expensive fruit with granola and the pancakes-breakfast. I gave the pancakes and the chocolate to my friend and I ate the bananas...
Better for vegetarians. Some veg options are with fish.
Pros: vegeterian options marked, nice location
Cons: almost no vegan options, price, unhelpful staff
