Good, not great - Edit
Lovely little place with lovely staff. I had the vegan cheeseburger with sweet potato fries, which was good, though not excellent (patty a bit on the bland side). You should definitely be ok with dogs barking and jumping on and around your table, that seems to be standard (I didn’t mind).

Read moreChanged the review due to owner's behaviour: The first day many of us talked, people approached me, I them, it was a good time. Though the owner kept a somewhat irritated expression I just assumed he lacked communication skills but meant well. The owner talked to. As for my second visit, the owner belittled me rudely for speaking to another customer. Which was very contradictive of 'what was allowed'. Though the other customers aas friendly & clearly enjoyed speaking with me, albeit it was brief due to the owner's rude interruption, telling me I am not allowed to 'recruit people', not that Ilwas recruiting anyone. I was just making friemds. So maybe he lied about actually being vegan?
There is a bit more nuance to this but I do not want to go into excassive detail. I paid for the soup & left, not coming back here ever again.
From what I could tell he was stressed, as why he was drinking alchohol too. I get life can me hard, more than anyone but lashihg out on people, espesially someone who is being friendly is not okay.
I wish him well in life, a recovery from whatever ails him & conscious growth.

Great cafe to visit - Edit
I came in for an early lunch and (I think) I had the club sandwich and a smoothie. Both very fresh and tasty and the setting was very relaxing. The variety of vegan books on the shelf was great to see along with all of the stickers about the place. Definitely a recommended visit.

Customers outside were smoking like chimneys. The waiter snapped at me when i asked if there was any other cake than banana bread. (Maybe i'm too old for them coz i'm over 25?). Really. Pass on all that unpleasantry. Go to the lovely smoke-free Zdravo around the corner instead. !!

This is def my fav place in Belgrade. They have great food and a great vibe alltogether. Also every Wednesday is ramen day, that's my fav day to visit.

Juicy sandwiches crafted with care - Edit
The sandwich and burgers were perfectly prepared, with a good amount of fixings and oozing mayo and sauces too. I enjoyed the coffee which is also one of the most affordable in Belgrade (compared to non-vegan coffee shops that charge a 50-110 surcharge for plant milk!)

Charming place for lunch - Edit
Very nice staff and the food was quite good, too. It was pleasant to enjoy the weather and sit outside in front of the restaurant. The house made seitan was exceptional. The only thing to be aware of was that it took about 30 minutes for our food. In spite of that, I would come again.

Amazing breakfast toasts (either hummus and avocado or scrambled tofu or however you want) and on Wednesdays the have Ramen!😋 Also the interior ir very cute with lots of dogs🥺😍 and the staff was even better! We came back several times:)

Had breakfast here. Sat outside and enjoyed a scrambled tofu and a tofu sandwich. Was a nice experience, not to hot or to loud even though it’s close to the main road, and the service was really good too. The food was fresh but could have had a little more taste to it. The coffee and fresh juices were excellent. Will be back to try out more of the menu.

For anyone that doesn't speak the local language, name of the restaurant is very clever. VeZa means connection or relationship, but is also an acronym for VEganska ZAjednica, Vegan community.

What I like most about VeZa is that they engage in political activism and embrace ethical veganism. The food is incredibly delicious and the design of the place is extremely beautiful. It has become my favorite vegan place in Belgrade.

The price is right, not really cheap, but definitely not expensive either. Everything we tried was great. They serve coffee with homemade milk. Pay attention to pictures on the wall - there's nice vegan messaging.
