For anyone that doesn't speak the local language, name of the restaurant is very clever. VeZa means connection or relationship, but is also an acronym for VEganska ZAjednica, Vegan community.

I loved VeZa! - Edit
What I like most about VeZa is that they engage in political activism and embrace ethical veganism. The food is incredibly delicious and the design of the place is extremely beautiful. It has become my favorite vegan place in Belgrade.

Charming cafe with an indoor seating. We had sandwiches with coffee. Exactly, what we needed to relax a little a refill an energy for more Belgrade exploration. The price was reasonable, food tasty, staff friendly.

The price is right, not really cheap, but definitely not expensive either. Everything we tried was great. They serve coffee with homemade milk. Pay attention to pictures on the wall - there's nice vegan messaging.

Cute place with an amazing owner, she took the time to explain the menu in English. Everything was delicious, the hibiscus drink and the bread from the scramble tofu were divine, the 3 Snicker bites were very good too (even if the chocolate was a bit too dark for me). No credit card but accepts euros and gives you back the change in the local currency which was very convenient thanks. Definitely recommended.

I didn't like the coffee honestly; it had a funky sour taste and they didn't have oat or soya milk so I went with cashew (not creamy/thick enough - kind of watery). Their milks are all homemade. Not sure why a hot latte came in a tall slim glass with a straw either.
Read moreWas going to order a muffin but asked if it was gluten free out of curiosity (since it didn't say on the menu) and they said it was indeed gluten free, so I decided not to get it (gluten free cakes/muffins etc are never as good and I'm usually disappointed). They really should mention on the menu if it's GF.

I really had a lovely time at the VeZa. Amazing tofu sandwich, coffee was really good as well. Staff is very helpful and speaks English very well.

The owners were very friendly and the café is perfect for a small lunch and has a beautiful atmosphere. Also the charcoal Lemonade was great. We could however only pay by cash.

We liked absolutely everything about Veza! It is perfect for lunch or to have some drinks. The food is fresh, delicious and original. The place looks really attractive and has a nice terrace. The atmosphere is great and relaxed. The staff is amazing: they are incredibly nice and welcoming and vegan with whole of their heart and all of their energy. The woman is the founder of quite a big vegan organisation in Serbia. She is really active in Serbia on vegan topics, in a very open minded and friendly way.

And they have the cutest little dog, called Jimmy! The place is pet friendly.
We had some really tasty sandwiches, cake, smoothies, beers and really good rakija. Also I got to taste some acorn coffee, which tasted really nice!
They also make their own plantbased milk.
We could have spend a whole day of the terrace of this amazing place. We hope one day, we can go back to Veza!

Lovely little ethical vegan cafe. Extensive drinks menu and they make their own plant milks. Limited food options, good place for lunch or a light bite. I had a ‘tofu never screams’ sandwich, a peanut butter and tofu combo which was different and interesting to try. Staff were great and there is a focus of promoting veganism, speciesism and low waste which was lovely to see. First place I visited in Belgrade and my favourite of the ones I tried. Loved all the plants and greenery too. Nice vibe.

Quite small menu for foods, but as for drinks there were plenty of options. We opted for an iced latte each with hazelnut and cashew milk, fresh orange juice, oatmeal and tofu sandwiches. Not special, but good!

I didn't realise this was right next door to another vegan restaurant so popped by here towards the end of my day. It's probably not a dinner spot, but the tofu sandwich with peanut butter, homemade sunflower spread etc was so good that I wanted to try the vegan tuna option (and that certainly would have been very filling) - unfortunately and understandably they had run out!

Not sure if time will allow me to return on this trip but would happily do so on a subsequent trip.

Staff is amazing! Very friendly, they organize charities etc. Great sandwiches, our favorite is the "Tofu never screams". Have a bunch of interesting coffees, such as the acorn coffee which is delicious. They are also low waste. We visit VeZa almost every week as it is in our neighbourhood.
