Tasty poke bowl with kimchi and good coffee - Edit
Me and my partner chilled here on a rainy summerday, totally new to Kalix. This place and perhaps the Thai and Chinese restaurant seemed to be the only spots serving vegan food in Kalix. (from skimming google maps)
Read moreWe ate Vevve’s vegan poke bowl, which we found very tasty. Can recommend. Balanced, with good kimchi, avocado, rice, edamames, carrot, cherry tomatoes, small salad, , and comes with a good vegan dressing.
I really enjoyed their coffee, fruity and perfect!
BUT, they did NOT have oat milk or anything to make a vegan chai latte for my partner, which ended up having a with a tea from Lipton - nor did they have any vegan brownie or pastry - two big reasons for giving 3 stars and not 4.
Still recommend Vevve as a vegan in Kalix.

Nearly only place to eat out in Kalix as vegetarian - Edit
Based on Kalix area, this is basically the only place to eat out for me. There isn't too many options for vegetarians but they are decent good. Vegan poke bowl was a bit dissapointing for me, since there wasn't anything extra (like tofu etc), they have just taken away the non-vegan parts. It was good though and I got full. Halloumi bowl was nice since the halloumi was like teriyaki styled flavored. Vegan brownie is really nice! Pomodoro pasta is okay, quite boring but tasty though.
Read moreAnyway, in this small place, it is more than nice fresh feeling to go out and eat something there. So my rating is based on that - in bigger cities where is variation, this restaurant would get worse scores :D
Pros: At least there is some vegan/vegetarian options, Friendly staff, Tasty pastries
