Good food but expensive and poor service - Edit
VEVAY serves breakfast (brunch on Sundays), soups, mains, vegan desserts and cakes. The cakes are absolutely delicious! Other dishes are good, too. Portions are big, but the smoothies are tiny. Coffee was rather poor. Prices are high – but as they are in the middle of the CBD the lease is probably quite high, too. They serve eggs for breakfast, a vegetarian burger, coffee also with cow’s milk – everything else is vegan. Really don’t understand why they don’t go completely vegan. Service is nice but unable to cope when there are many guests.

Closed on Public Holidays - Edit
Happy Cow site said “Open”, but after walking half an hour, I discovered it is closed. Very disappointed visitor to Frankfurt. Menu looks great - hopefully I can come back another day. Giving 4 stars for the menu. UPDATE - came back a couple of days later, had the low-carb burger and was delicious! Friendly staff too. Upgrading to 5 stars.

Disappointing cakes and cash only! - Edit
This is a review for the cakes only. I got the chocolate hazelnut cake and the cheesecake to go. They looked way better than they tasted. The hazelnut was just okay, a bit on the dry side; the cheesecake really left a lot to be desired. It didn't taste like much to begin with and the jellylike texture was off-putting especially when you expected it to be dense, smooth, and creamy. While I could get my head around paying €4 a pop for mediocre cakes in the center of Frankfurt, I couldn't and wouldn't abide payments by cash only. Truly unacceptable considering the city is a major financial hub. Get with the times already. I had wanted to have dinner here and not just dessert, but judging from the cakes I had, what I saw coming out of the kitchen while there, and the Luddite mentality, I guess I didn't miss anything.

low Carb Vege Burger - Edit
Excellent mix of vege burger patty, tomatoes, onion, avocado, quinoa, hummus and, some leafy greens. Ginger lemon tea. No bread makes the dish low carb. Recommend it anytime of the day, hearty portion.

tasty food - Edit
I was kinda skeptical towards this place cause it seems very much oriented towards "healthy" food which is something i generally don't like but the food is actually delicious! I got the bbq burger which was sooo nice and a cake afterwards which was also super tasty. the homemade ice tea i tried was pretty tasteless though but overall really nice food.

Yummy burger - Edit
The Barbecue Falafel Burger is outstanding. Pair it with a Premium Cola. We enjoyed our table upstairs overlooking the busy city streets below. We loved the fun, relaxing atmosphere and decor Vevay. The bakery counter is amazing and our cheesecake tasted so authentic, we had to ask again to make sure it was really vegan (it was!) Hope to visit Vevay in Frankfurt again soon! Kid and pet friendly.

Good but a bit pricey - Edit
We had an energy bowl with lots of veggies, avocado, and lentils, and a burger. Both tasted really good! The staff was friendly and the space is well decorated. I would say it's a bit pricey, but I guess that's what you get pretty much everywhere in Germany.

Try the cheese cake and 'zupfkuchen' they are delicious and all vegan. The hot dishes are also very tasteful, and they serve 'premium cola' and lemonaid. Location is cozy and the place has many fans.

Tasty food! - Edit
We had Vevay plate, rice noodle with peanut sauce (forgot the name of the menu) and tofu scramble. Rice noodle with peanut sauce was the best! We especially liked it being warm instead of being cold. Vevay plate was also good (falafel, couscous, hummus, grilled veggies..) and tofu scramble was ok. The bread that came out was also tasty! Cakes were also good (we had a crumble and cheesecake)!

Yummy! - Edit
Funny how Germany changed its image in a few short years. Germany used to be the country of bratwurst, weisswurst and beer. Now, being a vegan is the cool thing to do in Germany and vegan restaurants take over. So it wasn't hard to find a vegetarian restaurant in Frankfurt. Yet, I went for the one that has the best reviews on Happy Cow. The name of the restaurant, "Vevay", is short for "Vegetarian Vegan Yummy". After visiting I can tell you: yes, it is indeed yummy, vegan and vegetarian.
Read moreIt's easy to find, the staff speaks English (German menu on the table, English menu available on request) and the atmosphere is cool. It just feels like the place to be; exactly like hip, young vegans in Germany want to be perceived.
Based on the many reviews on Happy Cow I opted for the lukewarm rice noodle salad. Indeed, it is amazing. Some vegetarian chefs try to mimic a meat based menu. Other chefs try to emphasise the pure taste of the ingredients. At Vevay European style cooking (which means sauces and spices determine the taste) is combined with the vegan lifestyle. The result is sublime. To start with: the food looks good and smells great. Fresh ingredients and well balanced palette of tastes create a fantastic taste.
Because of the fantastic first experience, I went back the very next day. Feeling very hungry and being in need of energy, I ordered the udon noodles. This time the meal was good, but not special.
The size of the portions was enough to fill the stomach, but not so much one feels stuffed. Considering the quality of the food, prices are fair. If I'm ever in the neighbourhood again, I will surely visit Vevay again. Actually, I'd even make a d-tour to go here again.
Pros: great food, cool atmosphere, good portions, fair prices
Cons: cash only, close to a very bad neigbourhood, can be very busy (make reservations!)

Tudo vegan!
