Best Vegan Options in Sestri Levante - Edit
Verve has:
Read more- a nice decor
- nice music (jazz!)
- very friendly staff
- clearly labeled vegan dishes
- tasty food
- one vegan dessert!
Despite the limited vegan options, this makes Verve the best restaurant for vegans in Sestri Levante.
We had the Gnocchi, Legumes Burger and Pear-chocolate-cinnamon cake, which were all very tasty, albeit on the small side portion-wise. Having a vegan dessert other than fruit or gelato was amazing!
(Also the bread included in the coperto… heavenly!)
Pros: Nice Interior, Tasty Dishes, Jazz!
Cons: Not that many vegan options, Portions on the smaller side

The gnocchi was great, very tasty.

Apple pie was good, very sweet tho and a lot of cinnamon. (I didn’t like it but my partner said that it was the best he’s ever had so 🤷♀️)
But the price… 55 EUR for two dishes, one dessert and one water. You have to pay extra 3 EUR for each person and 3 for bread (which they just give you without asking) - I’d recommend you this place only if you don’t mind.
It’s also nice for a special dinner as it has a nice design and nice jazz music. Would be better if the music from a restaurant next door wasn’t that loud.

Some options at least but a few downsides - Edit
The vegan options can be limited in this area aside from cheese free pizza, so we were excited to find somewhere with marked vegan options that weren't pizza. We had the gnocchi and the apple pie dessert. The gnocchi in particular was delicious (apple pie nice but a little dry with only a small side of cream). However the waitress wasn't very helpful or flexible with advising on vegan options (she openly told us not to order the tomato spaghetti as "you can get it anywhere"), and unfortunately the gnochhi was a very small portion. We had asked if we could add veg or make it bigger but she said the kitchen was small. Not great value for what we paid in the end, but what we had was very tasty, and nice to find a vegan option that isn't a marinara pizza! Would have given 2.5 stars if option.

Finally a vegan dessert in Sestri Levante - Edit
Sestri Levante is a very hard place to be vegan. So I was very happy to see that not only do they have 2 mains that are marked vegan but they actually have a vegan apple pie for dessert.

We went there again this evening and was rather disappointed. I had the same starter as it is the only vegan one and then the other main: the burger. It said gluten free on the menu and came with a salad with green apples. I was hungry and asked for some potatoes on the side. I got a yellow pattie - I don't know if they make it from potatoes or chickpea flour, but it was dry as dust. On the side potato cubes, no salad. When I asked for the salad the waiter told me that it was in the sauce (there was no sauce just a little bit of pickled onion) The headwaiter was then summoned and she almost scolded me for wanting both potatoes and salad, brought my plate to the kitchen and returned it with som strips of squash and celery. Strange experience.

Nice, rather elegant restaurant for lunch and dinner. Many vegetarian/ vegan options. Friendly service that also makes suggestions for vegan dishes. Very good food. If I could, I would give 5 stars.

Unexpectedly good vegan options - Edit
Verve is a lovely restaurant right on the main strip along the coast, nestled in the most lively and vibrant area of the city. We had a table outside where we can people watch and watch the sun set over the sea. The service was very friendly, and the vegan dishes were clearly marked (which is pretty unusual to see for this part of Italy). We had the gnocchi & endive salad as starters, and quinoa burger & spaghetti as main course. It's not going to blow your mind, but it's very well made and as a bonus they even have a vegan peach strudel in their dessert menu. I'd say more vegan friendly than 75% of restaurants in Liguria region, which is a low bar to clear, but still :)

It’s great that they have vegan options for starters, primo, secondo and deserts! We had a gnocchi with saffron and veggies, and it was good, but not great. Just really small portion. And I also found it quite expensive.
