Pleasantly surprised - Edit
When we first came in the staff appeared to be a bit chaotic but as we found a seat and placed our orders we were pleasantly surprised with the speed of the service and the quality of the food and drinks. It's really nice to have a hip café close to the Arndale and Market Street and it definitely has something going for it in terms of its offer. We will be 100% be going again next time we're nearby.

Top breakfast - Edit
We stayed in Motel One across the road and popped in for a Saturday breakfast. We had delicious fry up and waffles. Everything was fresh, flavourful and delicious. Wonderful coffee and a great atmosphere at a good price.

We loved popping into this cute little place just opposite from where we were staying. Just so happened we walked in on a day they were giving away the first 100 breakfasts for free. Very friendly staff, excellent portion sizes and tasty breakfast options. Highly recommend!!

Great food and location - Edit
The food was fantastic, perfect for lunch. I had the salad bar, which came with a variety of salads, and my mum had the lentil Dahl which I am assured was lovely. Service was quick and polite, and it is in the perfect location just off of Market Street so everything is nearby. I'll be back.

I very much enjoyed the dhal bowl with whole grain rice, mango chutney, crispy chick peas and plant based yoghurt 🌱 My other half wolfed down the chilli bowl. I also recommend the white wine ... vegan of course.

Great food, good vibes and very stylish - Edit
Visited for lunch today and enjoyed a delicious vegan cheese, tomato and pesto sour dough toastie and a pot of lemon and ginger tea, served in the cutest tea pot. The service is amazing, with friendly staff that care about quality of food, sourcing the best local and seasonal ingredients. It was so good, we headed back for afternoon tea with a coconut milk hot chocolate to wash down the most divine Victoria sponge cake. Great location, stylish interior, lovely ambience and perfect for vegans, flexitarians and non vegans alike. Highly recommend trying this new plant based eatery as Good Food =Good Mood!

Love This Place - Edit
Vertigo fully open on the 3rd January, but had a soft launch just before Christmas to find their feet, so offer a small menu and specials board and I had heard great reports so visited for lunch.
Read moreI chose a falafel, spinach and chilli jam sandwich and hubby ordered roast tomato soup, both served with Trove sourdough the best in Manchester in my opinion, its heavenly bread.
The sandwich was scrumptious, with plenty filling, great texture, lovely and moist with the chilli jam and wolfed down with a pot of peppermint tea, I loved the cute teapot. The roast tomato soup was equally good, rich, delicious and thick and mopped up the sourdough bread, it made for a perfect lunch.
We had a chat with owner Michael and General Manager Dillon, who are enthusiastic about the new venture and I look forward to visiting in the New Year, to see what else is on the menu. Vertigo is situated near the Royal Exchange Theatre and it is great to find a vegan eatery over that side of the city, as normally I would have to head over to the Northern Quarter, noted for its vegan scene. Highly recommended.
Pros: 100%, Vegan wines, beers & soft drinks
