One of the best places to eat in Naples - Edit
Loved everything about this place. The food was great, the atmosphere felt really special and it's just a nice place to sit outside and soak in the magic of Naples.
Read moreIt is a bit off the beaten track, but well worth hunting it out

Good food - Edit
And good service. About half the options are vegan. Not a scenic location, but we’d eat there again.

Decent vegan options - Edit
Had the mushroom risotto, which was fantastic. Staff spoke enough English to get by easily. Reasonably priced. Cool location. Had potato fries for starter which was basically a big plate of chips and mayo which was a bit odd, but not sure what I was expecting!

Very good,l - recommended! - Edit
Completely vegetarian restaurant, but they have a lot of vegan options. Everything was delicious, especially the dessert 😍 Staff was nice too. The place is a bit outside of the city centre (5-10 min) but its worth it. Has outdoor and indoor seating and a lot of special wine (though I didnt taste any)

Very good - Edit
The places has lots of style. Considering outdoor seating, as there is no AC inside. Food was delicious, staff super friendly and helpful. Recommended, although the surroundings are not the most charming.

Perfect evening meal - Edit
Vero is a hidden gem, away from most of the tourist sites and it seems all the locals around here know each other.
Read moreDespite not being a fully vegan restaurant they have a great range of vegan options which all are clearly marked.
Make sure you have some tapas to start before having a main. Maybe a tapas to share as the portions are generous. The Dutch fried potatoes are delicious.
The outdoor setting is lovely as you are in a quite area and can appreciate the city under candlelight and a gazebo.
I visited here twice and enjoyed the tastiest spagetti I've ever had as well as what I can describe as a vegan roast because I've no idea what it actually was other than tasty.
Be sure to have some wine too because why not?!

Quiet tasty heaven - Edit
Randomly went to this place as we looked around the city and was the closest to us based on location, what a lucky find. This place was so good my partner and I came back a second time on a different night! Which we had previously never done, I would gladly have went a third time if I could have.
Read moreFirst time I had the ravioli and second time I had the spaghetti (which has fake meat) with Dutch potatoes tapas, both dishes where pure bliss, the spaghetti dish can be made vegan and I would recommend it. Shown me how real pasta sauce should be, the dish was simple looking but made up for it with punchy, spicy flavours.
Staff where helpful at recommending drinks and side dishes for us. Service was prompt and food was so so tasty, I would say it’s cheap for what you get too. Menus in English & italian to make it easier.
The spot can be a bit tricky to find if you don’t have mobile maps available. I would recommend coming from the Main Street Corso Umberto onto via mezzocannone head up the hill then turn in on the street that has tandem on the corner and keep walking till you find it.
Don’t miss out on this if you are a veg or vegan eater staying in Naples, it’s a must!

Outstanding lunch - Edit
I had the same amazing tofu ricotta stuffed fried pumpkin flower, and agree with the other reviews: one of the best things I have had. I had a simple but delicious salad, then a wonderful vegan panna cotta. An outstanding meal. The location is also lovely - tables filing a tiny square in the old back streets. I only wished I'd had time to go back for dinner.

Such yum! - Edit
On our first night in Napoli we headed here for some relaxed tapas and a glass of Natural wine. We ordered both the vegan tapas dishes and a salad. The hummus was I suspect made with more olive oil than tahini - but delectable non the less. Though we agreed we would have appreciated a cracker more than the thin filo pieces meant for dipping as they just snapped - we were happy to use a spoon! The vegan ricotta stuffed pumpkin flowers were a lemony revelation.

Fantastic - Edit
I just ate a delicious vegan gluten free risotto with mushrooms. They have a terrace with heaters, a bar and also a romantic celler to sit down. They serve vegetarian burgers, veggie soup, vegetable tapas and pasta! The staff at Vero Gastrobar is very friendly and very fast! They play relaxing electronic music. They also serve various whiskey, rum, vodka and gin. Free WiFi!! Thanks for supporting our animal friends on their path to liberation!! See you again soon!

Option within old town - Edit
It wasnt a cold night so we sat outside and ordered an entree and main. I liked my pumpkin flowers with vegan ricotta. Then I had the verditado (pasta with tomatoes) and it was really tasty. But it was a small dish, this wasn’t under tapas so I thought it would be a bit bigger.

Five stars for zucchini flowers stuffed with vegan ricotta - Edit
Vero Gastrobar was one of my favorite restaurants in Naples mainly because they offer fried zucchini flowers stuffed with vegan ricotta. This dish is properly heaven! I took it twice and still dream of it each night. I also had their falafels with friarielli and my friends had soups and good pasta. Every one liked this place, the staff was super friendly and fun, and the restaurant has good vibes, you feel like home.

Poor experience. Menu to adjust! - Edit
It could be nice. It could be sweet. It could be lovely. But when there is no will to please where is the way? Food was not good at all. Service have a LOT to improve. And worst part, menu should be reconsidered. If someone try vegan food there for the first time I wouldn’t be surprised if they hate it. Please fix this!

Nice new location in the old town - Edit
Opened in 2016, this place offers a nice selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes. The inside dining section is located in the (of course renovated) cellar - watch your head on the stairs. There are about 6 tables inside and a few more outside, so it might get crowded.
Read moreMenus are available in at least english and spanish, vegan and gluten-free dishes are clearly marked (it's mostly vegan). In addition to the menu there are two daily dishes.
The "tapas", which are small dishes in appetizer size, are a bit pricey compared to the mains but in the end one can still have a good meal with a drink for 20 euros or less per person.
Food was good and they were using some interesting non-tradionally italian combinations of flavors; nothing too extravagant though. Only one of the tapas, I assume their version of a vietnamese spring roll, was a kind of underwhelming.
All in all a pleasant addition to the veg* scene in Naples.
Pros: Good food, Multilingual menus
Cons: Appetizers appear a bit overpriced

Worth visiting! - Edit
This place has the most delicious vegan tapas I have ever eaten! Brilliant options for vegans, including tofu, seitan and sushi! The staff were incredibly friendly and could easily explain what was and wasn't vegan, which was helpful when telling me what desserts they had (which were peach crumble and avocado chocolate mousse 😍). I would recommend trying this place, veggie or vegan, whilst in Naples. Gets busy so book a table.
