Great soup and sandwiches (and tea, of course!) - Edit
Try the gypsy soup, it's delicious! I love the soup and sandwich combos, and they often have vegan cookies from East Side Ovens. Not everything is vegan but a lot of it is, and the owner is super nice about answering questions, so just ask!

Hip little lunch spot in a chic part of town - Edit
Verduras us located in the historical third ward, if you are lucky enough to get a meter out front you'll notice you're on a european style street with sidewalk seating for many cafes/bars and restaurants. Verduras is in a shared space with an india/china style import shop. If you're there in the summer, there are picnic tables in the center parking area, but inside you also sit about a half story off the street and can look down at the scenery.
Read moreThe owner is very kind and accommodating, and made us an amazing salad with layers of fresh veggies. The rosewater lemonade is very good, too. Great spot to stop for a quick bite while shopping and exploring the 3rd ward.
