New Location - Edit
The best veggie restaurant in Medellín.
A few minuts of last location at Provenza.
NEW LOCATION:
Manila, calle 12 #43d-77
Pros: excellent food, vegan options, nice ambient, friendly staff, big portions.
Cons: Parking

not pleased - Edit
A friend and I ordered what we felt would be balanced and as the menu described. We were both disappointed. Perhaps the restaurant can have the servers assist in choices. Tom Kyai is my favorite soup. However, based on prior experience and the fact that I have worked with Asian chefs, it seemed the key ingredients were missing
Pros: location, decor
Cons: prices, food

Overrated, disappointing - Edit
First, most of the options have cheese, its not really very vegan friendly, we had like 3-4 options.
The hamburger had a pesto too salty, my partner and I noticed it. The criollas potatoes are made with WAY TOO MUCH rosemary (romero). The place is not inexpensive (as its listed), and for the food you get is very expensive. On July 2016 the hamburger costed around $20000.
You get way better options in Poblado, just steps from this restaurant.
Pros: good space
Cons: expensive, not many vegan options, too salty

Good for travelers - Edit
I had dinner here tonight and it was excellent. The food is quite inexpensive, by North American standards. All of our party enjoyed the food. Another reviewer said they weren't English friendly, but our server spoke serviceable English and we were offered English menus. Everything is clearly marked as to whether it can be made vegan or not.
The portions were perhaps a bit on the small side, but they're so inexpensive you could just order more. If you're very hungry, get an appetizer and an entree.
I will be going back.
Pros: Delicious food, Friendly staff, Inexpensive
Cons: A bit hard to find

GREAT - Edit
I was impressed by the creative attractive menu and the very cool decoration and vibe of the place. The food was the best I have eaten in a long time! We left very very happy and satisfied. Thumbs up for the people running this place.

Great area, great food - Edit
Went here on a Sunday evening so not sure why it says "closed Sunday"
Had a big falafel wrap and beer. The wrap fell apart but all the food inside it was great. I recommend going here and trying it
Pros: Nice space, Good food

Decent food, small portions, pricey for Colombia - Edit
I ate here on a Sunday afternoon. I ordered the milanesa de frutos secos and the juice combo of the day. The food was good, but not enough green on the plate for my taste. The total came to 24.800 COP (they add a 10% tip to the bill). About what you'd pay in the USA, but pricey for Colombia (compared to the other places I've visited).
Pros: food good (it's cuisine), portions small
Cons: crowded on Sunday, prices double what lunch costs elsewhere

Worth a visit - Edit
A nice and trendy place with a good vibe. A lot of different options on the menu. We tried their burgers once which where good but the best thing where the small potatoes on the side! Absolutely delicious!
Also tried one of their set lunch menu, chili con quinoa with a fresh salad for starter. That meal was really nice too. Only thing I would complain about would be the juices, dont even bother trying them out. Expensive with no taste really, just watery.
It is more expensive than other veggie restaurants in the area but still worth a visit I'd say.
Pros: Atmosphere, Location, Nice food, many options
Cons: Expensive, Juice with no flavour

Great atmosphere, good flavours - Edit
This is perhaps the vegan-vegetarian restaurant with the best atmosphere. Its beautiful, colourful, comfortable, bright... just great.
The lunch menu costs around 16,000 COP ($5 USD) and today included a juice (ok), white-bean soup (delicious), salad (normal), pasta as main dish (ok BUT NOT WARM ENOUGH!). This last one was really a bummer.. how can you have such a place and not make sure that the main dish is warm enough??
But still.. the place is so nice, that it deserves to be visited. And, some of the food was excellent.
Pros: Atmosphere, Location, Some courses are excellent
Cons: Not warm enough main-dish

Nice trendy place with good food - Edit
I ate here once and had a nice time. The food is delicious and personal friendly. Tortellini comes in quite small portions, for dinner unfortenately not enough. Lasagne is big enough. HappyCow does not show the correct place on the map, check the address. Meals are relative expensive, 20.000 to 25.000 for a main dish and around 5000+ for a drink. But a nice ambiance!
Pros: Nice atmosphere and nice music
Cons: Expensive

Sometimes great, sometimes lacking - Edit
I honestly don't eat here very much. Why? For three reasons: they are more expensive than their rivals (i.e. Veg Station). Their menu is too innovative, it contains too many unusual dishes that don't fill me up. And their meal of the day is not always substantial. Having said that, their meal of the day sometimes rocks! That is one reason to come here. The other is because this is a great social spot to meet people. You can make friends in Verdeo but you would take them to Zorba.
Pros: Occasionally great meal of the day, Location, Exotic menu is okay sometimes
Cons: Expensive, Menu too insubstantial

Must go - Edit
If you eat anywhere in Medellín, make it Verdeo - the restaurant loved by omnis and vegans alike! Verdeo serves fresh, creative veg food in a beautiful location. Unfortunately, the price guideline is outdated - expect to pay 18,000 plus for dinner. Pro tips - check out the mini-market (vegan pesto aoili!!!) and ask to see the dessert menu (raw tamarillo-banana tart!!!).
Pros: Creative food, Beautiful restaurant, Awesome mini-market
Cons: Somewhat expensive

Nice Little Spot - Edit
I wanted to try different vegetarian options. With Zorbas this proves excellent. I enjoyed the hefty shawarma with a nice fresh fruit juice.
Pros: Great Hamburger, Good Vibe, Open Air
Cons: Expensive, Unequal Portions

Good but expensive - Edit
This place should be bumped up to at least 2 carrots on price since nothing on the menu is below $10000 COP. I'm taking a point off for that. However, they clearly mark what is vegan and the menu of the day is vegan (at least when I went). It was $15000 COP, which is the most I've paid in Colombia. That said, the food was amazing and creative and I enjoyed it thoroughly.
Pros: Creative menu, Quality, Their shop is quite extensive
Cons: Expensive

very expensive but quality is there! - Edit
I think they put a lot of thought into their food and it shows. The food is presented nicely and is good. Unfortunately for me, it was a little too salty, but I can tell that they take great care in preparing the food and I am grateful for that.
Wish they weren't so so expensive but it is hard to get organic stuff here so it makes sense.
Pros: quality, care
Cons: expensive

Yum! - Edit
Great for veggies and non-veggies. They bake their own breads, use inventive sauces and have creative fresh juice/ herbal beverages. A little expensive but what isn't in Poblado?
Pros: great tasting, large portions, creative cuisine
Cons: a little expensive

Friendly and delicious! - Edit
Verdeo was pretty tasty! The food could've used a bit of salt, but lots of good options. Vegan cheese, vegan fake meats, vegan ice cream!
There is a big variety of dishes from vegan hot dogs, various sandwiches, to healthier stir fries etc. They have "milkshakes", natural juices, soy milk, oatmeal milk and various other goodies and baked goods!
Also have a store in the restaurant, selling the fake meats, milks, cheeses, tofu, etc.
People were very nice and the food was good! Highly recommend the cafe milkshake!

One of the city's nuevo-veg gems - Edit
This really is a special place, in a beautiful little corner of Poblado right next to a green park. Lively, light, fun atmosphere, lots of creative products, and very friendly people (I had to call since the previous address listed on HC was wrong; it's fixed now and hopefully the map will be soon too). I don't find it +quite+ as vegan-friendly as it could be, as cheese is a large focus, but part of it is due to the menu. Some items are listed with a "V" for vegan-able, but others that can also be served that way, ie. the veg shawarma w/o labne, are not, and it may take a bit of discussion to clear it up. It's also important to double check as I did get cheese once after specifying V. That said, wonderful place that still deserves 5 stars, full of potential and creativity, and a great place to go out for a treat. Loved the Teriyaki burger and Antioquian tameles.
Pros: beautiful spot, creative, delicious
Cons: somewhat pricier, could have more vegan options, often packed

Awesome! - Edit
Within walking distance of Parque Lleras, Verdeo is a must! Open for lunch, then again for dinner, closed on Sundays. Everyday there's a different pre-fix lunch, which is always great. Comes with appetizer, main course, juice and desert. Only 12.000 COP ($6 USD). It's such a special little place. You can also order off the menu as well. The servers are very friendly as well. If you're a vegetarian located in Poblado, this place is a lifesaver. I eat there everyday. Enjoy!
Pros: Great Food, Inexpensive, Friendy Staff
