Wish this place was near where I live - Edit
The amount of variety available in this vegan cafe is outstanding.
Read moreYou have to visit this cafe to see what I mean. Cakes galore, lovely savoury meals and drinks to really keep you going. Flavours of the dishes ordered were lovely. Pics are attached.
This is my 2nd visit, with my first visit back in 2022, but I never reviewed it then.
I can't wait to come back to try the afternoon tea. They also sell art and gifts on site too.

First class vegan cafe - Edit
What a wonderful find! A fully vegan cafe serving a variety of main dishes and sweet treats! It also sells artwork and other ethical gifts and products. We were met with very friendly staff who were interested to meet us, and to take a photo of our dog for their VIP wall.
Read moreWe chose and shared a satay tofu stack with quinoa, salad and sesame seeds. Our shared desert was waffles with strawberries and blueberries and maple syrup. We had a hard time choosing as there was so much that looked amazing. If it all tastes as good as today’s choices then we are in for a treat every time we return… and return we shall!
Pros: Dog friendly , Fully vegan with many choices, Friendly chatty staff

My new local! - Edit
This is genuinely one of the best 100% vegan cafes I've ever been to. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. The staff were all so lovely and talked to you like a human as well even on a Saturday.
Read moreMy mother and I visited. We shared a tofu satay and quinoa salad (satay tofu stack) and a waffle with fruit and maple syrup. She had an oat latte and I had a matcha latte. Everything was delicious! The tofu stack made both of us look at each other wide eyed after one bite and the waffle made us groan in agreement at how good it was. The matcha latte was honestly the best matcha latte I've ever had in my life (and I've had a lot!)
I am just moving to the area and my one and only complaint about this place is that it's not walking distance from my house.
Pros: Friendly community vibe, Great food, Dog friendly

Wonderful cafe - Edit
We stopped by on a trip to the New Forest rather than having the same old service station food with a lottery of what’s available, if anything. It is a 5 minute drive from the M3 so doesn’t take you far off route. Huge car park nearby so not far to walk to. Fantastic menu with lots of different options. Dog friendly and has toys and books for children. Absolutely perfect little cafe! Food was delicious

Vegan oasis in Basingstoke - Edit
Vegans are not well-served in Basingstoke, so thank goodness for Vemillion in a shopping centre on the outskirts. It's walkable (about 2 mi) altho a map helps to stay off the main roads, otherwise the #7 bus. I think most people come by car. The staff are friendly and efficient, there are nutritious options (Buddha bowl), many pastries, and a pastie for later. The café is spacious and light, and there's outside seating. They also have a wide range of vegan snacks, plus some jewelry and heath & beauty products, altho I come for the food.

Such a lovely place. Everything I tried was super tasty. I had a jacket potato, a Buddha bowl with breaded chicken, passion fruit cheesecake, Bakewell tart and a chai latte.. I loved it all.

Great Food - Edit
I would really recommend a trip to Vermillion, it may look a little unassuming as "just" a coffee place with some cake and snacks, but those cakes and snacks are really well done and very very tasty. We tried a cheese and ham toasty, the tofu stack, a couple of cakes and coffee and it was all very delicious, the tofu stack especially.
Read moreThey have an amazing range of cakes here, including pastries and I wanted to eat all of them!
I've also had a takeaway pasty from here in the past and those are also really of note.
Edit Jan 2025 - Been back a few times now as it's local and the food here is of a consistently high quality, making it a new years resolution to visit here more!
The Coronation Chicken filling, for jacket potatoes etc really is so so good, can't recommend enough!

Buddha bowls are awesome! - Edit
I had a carrot cake and buddha bowl when I ate here. Buddha bowl was absolutely amazing! Highly recommend this dish with tofu and the satay sauce.
Read moreThe carrot cake was also delicious but a tad dry.
They also do smoothies, milkshakes and all the usual teas and coffees. There’s plenty of seating and accommodated a large group of us with little notice.
Well worth a visit if you are in the area. And finally the staff are super friendly and helpful! Friendly welcoming staff make the place that bit extra special!😄

Tried Vemillion earlier today and I was impressed...i am not easily impressed. Firstly the friendly welcome from staff was spot on. Customer service is not a natural skill that everyone has but they certainly do. After a lengthy deliberation I opted to try the satay tofu stack and the ava go go smoothie with added protein scoop, chia and flaxseed. The tofu stack was amazing and the smoothie was nice too which had a flavour that I've never tasted before. All tasted very fresh with great flavours. I was very tempted with all the selection of cakes too. Seating in and outside. Free parking very nearby.

Brilliant fully vegan cafe. - Edit
We visit about once a month. There are often new dishes added and always different cakes. Today we had avocado and 'feta' on sourdough which was lovely, followed by some cherry pie. My favourites are the Satay tofu stack and the coronation chickn jacket potato. The staff are lovely, too. Plus, free parking!

So much choice! - Edit
I’ve been here quite a few times and I’m not sure why I haven’t left a review yet. This place is bangin! I’ve never had the same thing twice as there is so much to choose from. It’s the perfect distance from home on my way back from a long ride. The prices are very reasonable. The food comes out quickly. They have a loyalty card. The staff are friendly. Not much more to say really! Try it!
