The greatest place - Edit
What is not to like. Insanely good food. The gnocchi loves rent free in my head and the Mac and cheese. Holy crap!

Excellent Food & Great Service - Edit
Highly recommended, this is the place to go if you want a delicious meal prepared and served by super friendly top notch people! 🫶
Read moreI’ve tried the burger, curry, burrito, Buddha bowl, Mac n Cheese - and every one has been tasty, so much so it’s hard to chose what to have.
For desert I’m sucker for the Waffle! They are divine and such a treat.
You won’t be disappointed.
I’ve only been in the evenings and tried their dinner menu, but I can’t wait to head over for brekko or lunch😄
Thank you Team Vegivores!

Another great vegan meal out - Edit
An early evening meal for us. So nice to be able to walk to a restaurant in the centre of Caversham.
Read moreWe shared the crispy gnocchi starter, which was a great start. The burrito was generous and very tasty (we had to ask for a box to take half home!). The 'special' curry was full of flavour and a real treat.
The service was friendly and attentive - we had an enjoyable treat and it was good value.
Not the first time we have eaten here and it won't be the last!

sooo filling - Edit
two big pancakes with loads of toppings for £10 (feb 2026). i added vanilla ice cream to mine and it wasn't that cheap stuff that just tastes sweet; it had a deep vanilla flavour. i would highly recommend getting chocolate sauce, banana, and vanilla ice cream. if you don't want to pay the extra charge, get whipped cream instead.

Don’t get el Menú Navideño - Edit
I hate to leave a poor review! The staff were lovely and I love that it’s fully vegan but most of the food was so disappointing. I had the three course Menú Navideño (Christmas menu) which was expensive but I had so hoped to love it so I ordered it anyway. Turned out that was a mistake and maybe why I had such a different experience to other reviewers. These are my honest thoughts on the three courses:
Read more1st - mole Brussel sprouts:
The sauce was good but I couldn’t get over the fact that the brussel sprouts were completely cold!
Main - beetroot savoury waffles:
Way too salty unfortunately! And I couldn’t really taste anything besides the salt
Dessert - Churro cheesecake
Delicious! Absolutely brilliant and a must try! One of the best desserts I’ve had this year
I do hope to come back and try their regular dishes as they generally get good reviews and I like to support vegan businesses. At the very least, it is a nice place to have good coffee.

Pros: Menú navideño cheesecake, Coffee, Atmosphere

Great Restaurant - Edit
I have visited this restaurant fairly frequently for a few years now, sometimes for full meals, sometimes just for a coffee. They never fail to disappoint, and I don't think I've ever had a negative experience here.
Read moreOver the years I've ordered most menu items, and my favourites are probably the Mac'n'Cheeze and the Satay Burger, although I must reiterate that I also really love their other items. I am also a lover of spicy food, and am often disapointed by "spicy" options of other restaurants, but vegivores dont hold back with their "sambal" sauce (i think that's what it's called). Their baked goods, which change daily, I believe, are also always top notch, same with the drinks, hot and cold.
The staff are all very friendly, and the restaurant has a great atmosphere, with lots of nature and plant themed decoration. It's ironic that it's situated next to a butcher's, being a vegan restaurant, but I can confirm I'd choose Vegivores over the Butcher's any day :)
Pros: Great food, Great atmosphere and staff, Great baked goods and drinks

Delicious food and lovely atmosphere.
Read moreWe had the burrito, mac and cheese (a must get), tofu knots, sambal broccoli (not good if you can’t handle spice), sundae and matcha cookie (to die for!).
So many different drinks options also, lots of hot chocolate choices, coffee choices, teas, cocktails etc.

Absolute treasure & a treat - Edit
We were taken here by a couple of friends who wanted to try it, so I had no clear expectations. The location is gorgeous, very spacious with lots of windows and natural light and air coming in. All of our food was delicious, we had the butter tofu curry, the crispy gnocchi, the burrito (with Mac & cheese!) and an incredible burger. Everything was very well balanced and seasoned, the crispy gnocchi were indeed crispy and the curry a buttery heaven. We also enjoyed their mocktails and the dessert menu. The kitchen is open and the serving staff and chefs were very lovely.

May road trip and snacks - Edit
Super busy friday evening, good to see. No table booking.
Read morewarned there was a delay due to the big group. So we ordered bread and olives to snack on, thinking it would come out quick, then starters then mains. Nope, delay on the bread too (??)
Ordered starters. then 10 minutes later ordered the mains.
All of the food came out together (mains first!!). We then had way too much food. so a bit got wasted.
Pros: interesting small plates, excellent quality food
Cons: super busy, delay on food (we were warned) , food arrived at the same time, mains ordered later

Great place. - Edit
Parked at Chester Street carpark. Short walk from there to the small shopping precinct where Vegivores is located.
Read moreVery large space, wait to be seated (we’d booked to ensure a table).
Lots of items on the menu were spicy which I can’t have but managed to find a couple of items to have, the crunch gnocchi and a side salad. Really nice. B had the Tahini Crunch Salad large, delicious all round but the tofu was the star! Although no mention on the menu it was spicy.
Tight fit toilet area.

I've eaten brunch here a couple of times and the food never fails to disappoint. The portion size is good. I really like the selection of drinks and the fact they have lots of different plant-based milk options. Additionally, there is a large variety of options on the menu.

Very tasty food, nice location - Edit
Friendly staff, nice location, we were there on a quiet weekday early evening but the atmosphere seemed good. I had the satay burger, very messy and absolutely gorgeous! My wife had a couple of small plates for her main meal. The crispy gnocchi with a light creamy pesto was very nice, and she also had the tahini crunch salad. Not especially cheap, but I guess if you want cheap then go to Maccy D's. I didn't feel the food was wildly overpriced, the flavours were really good.
Read moreWe arrived about an hour early and had a lovely walk along the river, over the bridge, and back again to work up our appetites. I recommend this restaurant and would certainly eat here again. I've rated it 4/5, as 5/5 has to be in the running for the best meal I've ever had; it wasn't that, but it was very good.
Pros: Very tasty food, Friendly service, Nice location

Literally the best vegan breakfast ever - Edit
Every part of the food was amazing in its own right. It had everything I could want for a vegan breakfast and I really appreciated the tofu instead of the meat alternatives. When you put it all together, it hit all the marks and the portion size was massive.

Lovely vegan eatery in Reading! - Edit
Reading struggles to cater for vegans, but if you widen your net just a tiny bit to Caversham there's this place which is wonderful! And the walk from Reading goes through a park too so anyone in Reading should check out this place.
Read moreThe food is fairly familiar (buddha bowls, burritos, soup) but inventive enough to be exciting, and it's delicious!
I had the satay bowl, and we shared a crispy gnocchi which was maybe the highlight. I'd really recommend that. Macaroni cheese also done really well. Main and a side left us stuffed so couldn't have dessert but we'll definitely be back!
