A bit pricey but honestly worth it - Edit
Those were the best garbanzo beans and rice I’ve ever had but it is quite pricey specially compared to other Mediterranean places I’ve had!

Brilliant Tastes & Smells - Edit
UPDATE: Now has outdoor seating behind the restaurant!!!
Read moreI ordered online and picked up today for the first time.
I work for HappyCow and took one of our 5-Star window decals in with me, but one of our Ambassadors already gave them one!! This place deserves this excellent rating!
I met owners Nora and Sevag and they were as sweet as can be!
I ordered three things: Spinach borag, chickpea kibbeh and the chickpea wrap. They smelled SO good I ate the spinach borag in my car in the back parking lot! This was my favorite of all three - so fresh & tasty!
If you have not been here, please give these wonderful people and their food a try; it's worth the drive.
They are a take-out restaurant only, and they are open during the COVID-19 shelter-in-place. They also offer delivery!

My Favorite Restaurant in Moorpark - Edit
First of all, the food is spectacular. We are always getting the spicy garbanzo bowl (which isn’t spicy tbh but still very good) and lentil soup because it’s just too good. Hummus is 10/10. Desserts are great. Just tried the sarma for the first time and I think my soul left my body for a second because it couldn’t handle the magnificence of the flavor. Can’t wait to devour everything on the menu. Staff is super helpful and friendly, too. Absolutely love them all. This place is a must

Innovative Vegan Mediterranean Done Right! - Edit
Such a great vegan restaurant hidden on the edge of a neighborhood and worth looking for! They are always consistent and trying new and innovative concepts that take the vegetarian beyond the salad. When you enter this restaurant you will be greeted by one of the most friendly chefs I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. It is like stepping into his kitchen! His love and passion for food is exuberant and he shares the story of each creation. I love the Peaceful Burger. This hand crafted vegan patty is the owner personal creation. It consists of cracked wheat, pepper paste and Mediterranean spices. This patty is topped with layers of savory flavors include garlic spread, cabbage, tomato, onion, ketchup, mustard and delectable pickled jalapeños. I also order the Fattoush Salad thinking I would want more than the burger. The burger was very filling in itself. We ate the salad the next day. It was a very generous portion for a reasonable price. The salad dressing should be bottled! A mix of Mediterranean spices, pepper, a hint of lemon, vinegar and Rich olive oil. The lettuce was extra fresh, English cucumbers, prime ripe tomatoes, minced parsley and mint, bell pepper, radishes, red onion, green onion. Such a distinctive mix. Crispy freshly toasted flatbread was provided to use like croutons. The salad was a meal in itself. More than enough to feed two people. My husbands diet is the furthest thing from being a vegetarian. He loved the salad.
Read moreThe tabbouleh salad is a VERY generous portion and was over the top fresh and delicious. The lentil soup was filling and chalked full of flavor. If you want something that will bring you back for more try the Eggplant with Garlic and Tomato (Imam Bayildi). Light tomato flavor, infused with garlic, bell peppers, onion and a spice mixture that I am still craving! The hummus is fresh and made on site like all their dishes. It is topped with chick peas and outstanding olive oil and spices. I frequently get their wraps. All are outstanding but the chickpea wrap is my favorite. It is spread with a creamy tasty chickpea spread and smooth tahini sauce, complimented with crunchy turnip pickles, vine fresh tomatoes.
This is the cleanest restaurant I have seen in a long time. The owners are over the top compliant with COVID standards, friendly and cater to the pickiest vegetarian (me) . Their attention to detail is great all the way around. I love this place and it is worth looking for!

The gentleman who runs this was so kind and great to talk with while he prepared each meal. The emu is curated from his mother’s recipes and everything is plant-based! Everything was made to order and everything was prepared on-site - nothing was pre-packaged. I highly recommend everyone give this place a try. We will be back!

Really good food by a knowledgeable chef - Edit
I called ahead to ask about oil free options (no added oils). The owner offered to make a custom dressing for me, to go with one of their salads. I took him up on the offer (the fatoush salad) and it was delicious. Hubby had the peaceful burger, homemade! Not Beyond or another pre-packaged version. Hubby loved it! The owner also gave us a sample of his new dish, a curry rice bowl. Phenomenal! Very tasty.

There’s a reason this place has a perfect rating! - Edit
This all vegan Mediterranean restaurant is SO GREAT. The food is so good and I’m not even usually a fan of Mediterranean food. They’re also very conscious of their carbon footprint so their to-go boxes and cutlery is biodegradable! But honestly, I could keep going back for the staff alone. They are SO charming and SO KIND. HIGHLY recommend.

I love this place, the whole menu is vegan and minimally processed so it would be suitable for a vegans or WFPB dieters.
Read moreThe food is all healthy, fresh, and the taste is balanced marvelously. My favorite is the lentil wrap & tahini bread. My girlfriend likes all the wraps and the turmeric cake & fattoush salad.
They also have great rotating specials that are always amazing. Call & ask about their specials
Also, they have this garlic sauce that is like a Toum or Aioli and we buy the tub just to keep in our fridge and we restock it whenever possible, it’s creamy with a real garlic flavor and goes great with almost any food as a dip, spread, etc. You can also mix it with vinegar for a creamy dressing or add into pastas or stir-frys. I almost can’t believe it’s plant based
Note: this restaurant is takeout-only
Pros: Wholesome food that leaves you feeling good, Clean, quick, easy parking/pickup

They also offered samples of the menu items I was thinking about ordering. The price is not too high and the portions are plenty! I would recommend this place to anybody. I was traveling through Moorpark and found this gem on Happy Cow! The food was fresh, along with the welcoming staff and GENEROUS portions I couldn’t have been happier! I started with the spinach borag, I could have had ten more they were so tasty! I ordered the combo: Chickpea wrap, side of hummus/pita and a drink! Wow, everything was delish and I had leftovers for dinner because the portions were so generous. Don’t drive by this place, go in!

Good food, Very nice people! - Edit
Went here based on the other reviews and glad I did. Smaller menu of healthy plant-based options. Had the chickpea wrap, which is their version of a falafel pita. While healthier, I did miss the crunch of falafel. Still delicious, though and a very healthy portion. Got the combo which included a side and a drink. I had the hummus side, which was big enough to be a meal in itself.
