A small, fine dining vegetarian restaurant serves classic and unique dishes in a cozy alpine atmosphere. You can start your meal with an aperitif plate, fresh made-in-house soup or the salad bar. Main courses consist of a selection of different vegetarian dishes and some vegan ones. NOTE: Open seasonally. Open Thu-Sat 6:00pm-10:00pm. Hot meals served until 9.30pm.

Slow/poor service and vegan options were limited and just okay. Glad to not see meat at dinner, but very underwhelmed. Not sure if our table was forgotten, but disappointed especially with one of the only places with vegan options on Zermatt.

The curry mostly consisted only of sweet patatos. There were a few chickpeas and about 5 leaves of spinach. It was rather mild and didn’t have any deep flavours. I was really looking foreward to earing here, so I didn‘t eat for about 7 hours before. The main dish left me hungry, but after the dessert I was okay. The coconut chochlate cake was good, not too sweet with little chocolate. There is a big section only consisting of coconut flakes, which would be dry on it‘s own. But with the ice cream it was fine.

I walked in off the street, looking for some vegan comfort food to take back to my partner who caught a cold. The server recommended the curry. It came out fast and was still warm when I arrived back at my hotel. The portions were generous and the curry was excellent! I briefly checked out the ambience while I waited, seemed very inviting and cozy.

It is not really a distinct restaurant, just one room in a ordinarily restaurant. The kitchen seams to be shared and you have to pass through the other part of the restaurant to reach it. The good thing is, it does not smell that strong like cheese as in ordinary restaurant.

Few vegan options (only curry, tagine, and “mixed salad” which was a plate of lettuce with some soggy cucumbers and shaved carrots for 20 franks) Everything we had was mediocre and overly greasy. Their mezze platter apparently included tabbouleh and naan, and what that meant in reality was a cold cous cous salad and some very non-naan style flatbread (more focaccia-ey, but not great taste).

I was there with my family and we ordered for some ice cream. The staff was extremely racist and made us wait for 20 mins and still didn’t give the ice cream. When we asked why it was taking so long the staff rudely told us to go to McDonald’s if we wanted fast service. They had no intention of serving us and were purposely making us wait.

We went for dinner on their outdoor terrace. We were surprised that Vegi Stube seems to be part of another restaurant - so people on the table next to yours might be having meat. The food was delicious. We had the Veggie Tartar for starters and then the Sweet Potato Curry. The staff was very friendly. It would be great if the owners of the house would go full veggie. There were only two vegan mains so expanding that would be great too. That said, vegetarian menus are still a rarity in the Canton of Valais.

Amazing vegan pasta - Edit
I had the vegan pasta with mango sauce and my friend had the vegan sweet potato curry. Both tasted fantastic. The location is great and so far, it’s the only vegetarian place in the village. The only minus point is that there are not so many vegan options.

Read moreBut, I tried the mexican plate and everything tasted the same and didnt seem very mexican to me at all. So no spices at all. As if everything on the plate was made frome the same stuff and just looked different.
Also i was told ONLY if you order Non-Veg dishes you can use the salad bar. I find that ridiculous.

Very nice aperitif plate and outstanding homemade soup. With the main courses we had a nice vegetable and noodle stew and brilliant homemade Cranberry Gnocchi. As dessert with had some nice apple fritters and homemade waffles.
