3.5 stars: some great dishes

The $10 lunch packs are a great way to try several dishes.
The fried mushrooms are my favourite thing we had here, absolutely delicious.
The curry puffs, and chickpea and potato curry were also very good.
The mee goreng was quite disappointing as the vegan option is vermicelli noodles rather than the hokkien noodles. I am not a fan of skinny noodles, and there's no big difference between egg and vegan hokkien noodles.
Really friendly service.

Pros: Fried mushrooms, Friendly service

Cons: Vermicelli noodles used for vegan Mee Goreng

I love Vegiera. I dislike the cheap way they have changed their prices, stick on white labels. Not very professional

Good service

Great Nice people. Vegan food in an area where there is nothing, so fingers crossed it sticks around. I had the $13.50 lunch special which was miso, 3 curries & rice. Quick & tasty. Looking forward to coming back and ordering something off the menu.

Pre-prepared takeaway containers are great value at $9.50.
Ordered a laksa takeaway. Loved that they were compostable containers but got home and the soup burst everywhere! Split down the side. Not a good container for hot soup. The man there was so super lovely and looked after us very well.

Tucked away gem

Vegieria is an unassuming little place within a shopping complex that's easy to miss if you're not looking for it. Make sure you give it a try! The menu is largely Malaysian cuisine (with some Japanese dishes) - I had the herbal soup with satay king oyster mushroom skewers and it was really tasty. Will definitely return another day and soon.

Pros: Mostly vegan options, Clean and comfortable, Friendly service

Delicious

A small cafe surrounded by shops & factories in Heatherton Vegiera has become my new favourite. A mostly vegan menu (with a few that can be modified to be vegan) I had the Laksa (Vegan option) and it was great. I like that this cafe doesn't use mock meat in their dishes. The staff are friendly and happy to make your visit memorable.

Pros: friendly staff, delicious food

Cons: not fully vegan

Delicious vegan Malasian

Amazing Malaysian food, mostly vegan menu (staff is knowledgeable about vegan options). Lovely mom and pop restaurant, very friendly and personable. I’m addicted to the Laksa, and have had it several times. Also tried other menu items and all were delicious. I go back every time I’m anywhere near the neighbourhood!

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Knowledgeable about vegan

Great Laksa!

Loved the laksa here! The broth is very fragrant with real laksa leaves, definitely one of the best I've had in Melbourne.
Owner was very friendly and accommodating, will be back.

Delicious if only they got my order right

Got the oyster mushroom skewer which was amazing and the Thai style turmeric rice which looked amazing unfortunately they put egg in it. When I called back about getting a refund there seemed to be a bit of confusion but once we all got on the right page the manager was very sweet and even offered to send me another rice free of charge.

?happy egg

Vegan foods are fantastic but I don’t like “happy egg”on the menu. No such a happy egg exists.

Pros: Lots of vegan options

Cons: Happy egg💔

Tucked away

Third visit:
The Laksa was as good as the first time; oodles of noodles! The curry puff was okay and the fried rice quite good but if I had to choose, I would go for the Thai fried rice as it was more flavoursome.

Second visit:
The green curry and Thai fried rice were very generously sized and tasty. I enjoyed the salt and pepper tofu and the oyster mushroom skewer was okay but wouldn't order again.

First visit:
Enjoyed a very good laksa on my first visit; pleased with the lack of mock in this version. Well priced too at $14.50.

Yes, but should go egg free

4th visit Sept 2019: curry puffs, laksa and fried rice. Good laksa again. While I enjoyed the fried rice, I did prefer the Thai fried rice that we had last time.

3rd visit: salt & pepper tofu and mushroom skewers not great. Thai fried rice very good, green curry good.

2nd visit: very good laksa

1st visit: I enjoyed my tempeh rendang with 5 grain rice, the flavours were sharp and everything was well cooked, the dish was also well priced. I was hoping to order from the bain marie allowing a mix of dishes, but it was almost empty at 2:30pm.
I found the menu a bit restrictive due to many of the dishes including a nonsensical ingredient 'happy eggs', but these can (and should be) omitted.
Service was fast, friendly and accurate. The venue is clean and well lit.
Definitely worth a visit when in the area, perhaps closer to lunch, for the bain marie specials (2 or 3 dishes and rice for $13.50)

Pros: Good food, fresh, Mainly well priced, Good service

Cons: "Happy eggs", Some meals pricier than average

great food, coffee and service

Been a few times recently and always received friendly service, great coffee and food. One of the few veg asian food outlets that doesn’t use mock meat, for those not into that. Immaculately clean. Take-away or eat in. Somewhat of a strange/unexpected location, which makes me concerned about their longevity, but hopefully the fact the bain-marie had largely been emptied on multiple occasions by the time i arrived early afternoon suggests otherwise.
